Guidlines to making a fan fic By RaptorHiss
Here is a few guidlines for making a fan fic:
1. DON'T RUSH! 80% of the fan fics here take about 5 minutes to make. A decent fan fic should take at least a month to right, if not more.
2. Get a decent plot. Don't have the same old plot "people get trapped on a island with dinosaurs", and if you do, make it orignal.
3. Come up with new characters. Don't always have Ian Malcolm, Alan Grant ect... Come up with your own.
4. Have dialouge. Have your characters actually talk to each other. And have their dialogue make sense.
5. Details, details, details. When righting a fan fic, use details, in order for the reader to fell like they are actually there.
6. Chronilogical order. Put your story in order. Most fan fics have this: "and while they were on the helicopter, they ment so and so". Don't make it sound like you just came up with the idea, and then decided to put it in.
7. Character development. Have your characters change, if not much, but just a litte. It makes for a more interesting read.
8. Don't have to many actions scenes. This makes it looked rush, and doesn't help the plot any more then if you just had one action scene.
9. This is my personally opinion, but I hate it when people post in chapters. It's an in convinice, and it almost always means that you never take the time to write the story out, and you just come up with it as you go along.
Well there are my guidlines for writting a fan fic... now go have a ball!:)
