    Day 2

Laying before their eyes was a metallic wasteland. A truck graveyard. Destroyed by a T-Rex, who at this moment, is lying unconscious in the shallow lake below.
“I-I-I..” stuttered Kyle. He stared dumbstruck at his marvelous fleet of semi’s and hummers turned into a wreck.
“Okay,” said Jake calmly, “what isn’t destroyed?”
“Actually,” said Laura, scanning the area,” a lot is still left.” They searched through the wreckage and found one hummer, one semi truck (the radio dish destroyed), three jeeps, a mess load of weaponry, a short range one-man mini-sub, and a small hovercraft that wouldn’t be able to make it through the choppy seas for long. Also, they had a bunch of junk.
“Where’d all these vehicles come from?“ asked Nick.
“Well, they wanted us to be able to explore every part of the island. So we have a lot of stuff, but neither the hovercraft or the mini-sub can make it through ocean waters to get us to the mainland.“ Laura remarked sadly. They loaded as much metal as they could, and set out.

The raptor turned around and ran. He had been following the group of humans for some time now. He was about to leave when he had to stop. A T-rex had come bounding out of the bushes. The raptor froze. It didn’t see him, but sometimes that wasn’t enough. T-rexes had a great sense of smell. However, the tyrant seemed more interested in the humans, as he didn’t notice the raptor. Then he attacked. The raptor watched as the animal ripped through the caravan. Imagine how surprised the raptor was when the Rex was tumbling down a hill in a beat-up cage!
He turned around and took off, marking every tree with a slight claw mark so he could find his way back. Though it was unlikely the humans would be there when he got back, it was a place to start. The raptors cold probably follow their scent if they needed too. As he ran, he was careful not to step on the ground, but on fallen logs. This way his footprints couldn’t be traced.
When he reached the Pack, he stepped over the snoozing raptors on the ground and to a large tree. Two raptors were there as guards. They let him through. Before him were three raptors laying on a large mossy rock. The one sitting highest up was female. Humans might call her the “Alpha Raptor.” The raptors called her their Matriarch. To her left but slightly lower was her mate. And to her right sitting lowest was a large, old male. He was the hunt director, or Commander, even. When a hunt started, he directed the Raptors in the battle. Or when they attacked human camps...
The old male got off his perch and confronted the younger scout. The scout quickly barked that humans had arrived, but much of their equipment was destroyed by a Tyrannosaur. The Commander Raptor barked at two other scouts. Scout (the one who saw the humans) was to take the other two to were the humans were. Then, if they could, they were to follow the humans until further notice. Scout nodded, turned, and left.

    Day 3
Spending the night under the stars is usually a good thing, but not for the humans. There were bugs everywhere, and they wondered if the pteronadons would come back. In the morning, however, good news arose. They found an InGen building. They checked it twice. It was in good condition, and it wasn’t infested with dinosaurs. Some of the security cameras even still worked. However, no phones nor radios worked. But they did have shelter. Besides, planes flew over the area a lot. Maybe one would see them. About fifteen people were still alive out of twenty some that came. They started patching up the few holes in the outside of the building using the junk from the wreck, while others cleaned up the inside.
“Yeah!” yelled Kyle, as power flowed through. Lights turned on. Computers turned on. Security cameras even. They had built themselves a regular fortress.
“I think tomorrow we should explore our little corner of the island, we’ll send out the hummer, and check around.” stated Jake.
“Not a bad idea, I might as well take the hovercraft out as well, there‘s some beach I want to explore” said Nick.
“I’ll go with the hummer guys, you take the craft, meet back in a few hours.” Jake replied, leaning against a wall. He scanned the jungle around. He had great eyesight, but even he couldn’t see the three Velociraptors watching him in the distance...
