The Last illiad chp. 5 cont-

Tony seemed to bow his back to make himself less visible as he jogged into the remains of the building.
"Claire- What is that sound?" Tony questioned as he looked out of a broken window to see if the sound had a body to go with it.
" I'll tell you in sec- just take cover." Claire ran to the back of the building into what looked like an enclosed space with a desk inside. The space was very small and the wall of the encolsure where soft like a fabrick.
Tony didn't question Claire anymore and dove into the space and under the desk. The chirping was coming closer. The chirping now sounded like a motor of a small helicopter or plane, but it also have small sound like a machine would have that was using fire or something hot.Tony tucked himself into a ball like Claire was doing and took a peek through his knees. The sound was getting louder and louder and sweat began to run down Tony's face.
"ZZZZZRRRRR" The machine was now outside the space. Tony watched as a floating shadow came into view. What looked like numerous eyes looked down onto to Tony and Claire, the largest one was red, two smaller ones were blue and the smallest was greed. A bunch of wires and pieces stook out of the floating machine. It took notice of Tony and made a loud chirp of suprise.
"Glunk!" A large pole came rushing down, crushing the floating pest. It began to beep and swirl as if it had just gone stupid. The red light lowered to a pale pink as all of the other colors also dulled down as the motor stopped and finnaly fel to the ground. The numerous wire broke off and steam clouded the small area.
"Are You guys a'right?" A tuff but kind voice muffle through the steam and Tony could see a figure standing there hold a large metal pole.
" Thanks munroe! It would have filed us and taken us down!" Claire stood in what seemed to be an overwhelming relief.
"Huh-um thanks alot!" Tony triewd to sound like he was a local but the figure didn't buy it.
"so who's your new friend Claire?" The voice seemed friendly but Blade's could to- well sometimes- well never. Tony stood and brushed the dust off of his pants trying to make it look like he had just dirtied a nice outfit.
" This is Tony, I found him pretty pumped out in the tunnels. He was unarmed and looked helpless." Claire told this figure still holding the pole. Tony frowned at the coment- "helpless" Tony thought. I'm not help-
less. He buffed out his very small chest to make him look tougher but this made the boy laugh.
" Well! Nice to meet you. I'm Munroe and I'm a close friend to Claire and her brother." Like claire had done so quickly, Munroe held out his hand to shake Tony's. Tony shook hands and smiled. He felt like air, prottected some how. These peers of his had befriended him easily and that made him fell imortant. Nobdy is important in Burnout Valley-Nobody.

AS the three of them moved outside into the trashed street, Tony took in the magnificent view that he had missed coming out of the Subway terminal. A bunch of buildings lined the orange sky, and for once Tony realized that there was a bigger world.
" You look beat up- What the hell happened?" Munroe sounded like an adult. Tony never cussed but it was time he did.
" I took on Blade and hid damn gang." Tony smirked knowing that Munroe had no clue who Blade was. " Blade is this king of our valley. We're all dying by his rules, every one is.
he found me in the Subway looking for food for my family but I couldn't find any. So him and his little gang started to kick me and crap like that so i punched him in the stomach!" Tony really didn't remember what he had exactly done but he knew he was exactly lying.
" Well good for you chap!" Munroe smiled and so did Claire and Tony. Tony had heard Chap from some old Geezer in the Valley- The geezes always thought they knew everything. There was one thing they didn't know and that was how to live forever.
As The three moved down into the city, Tony saw many small fires lit and hundreds of kids lined the streets all in rags and military gear. Tony did realize then that he was an adult and his Mom would soon be considered a geez. All of these kids had some sort of weapon but not counting that, they all lokked peacful. Maybe that was why Claire's brother was questioning him when they found him- they want to continue the peace and don't want anybody to disrupt the peace.
" So what was- that- thing?" Tony questioned then continued " Why would they want to kill they survivors?" Tony finished to wait for the answer from either Claire or Munroe. Munroe smiled to let Tony that he would let him know and led him to a small building.
