Dino-Life Chapter 1: Anamalous Materials Testing
    By Mr.Camel

The Adventures of Mr. Camel: Dino-Life
    Chapter 1- Anomalous Materials Testing

Rick Arnold walked through the doors of the main entrance in the Silver Mesa Complex. It was one of the largest research facilities in the world, and the most secret. Rick walked up to a man in a khaki t-shirt and khaki shorts.

“Uh, hi. I’m looking for a guy named Ben,” Rick told the man.

“A guy named Ben? You’re talking to a guy named Ben. What kind of Ben are you looking for? A happy Ben, a green Ben, a puking Ben?” the man named Ben said.

“I don’t know. I haven’t been here before. I’m Rick Arnold from over at the California facility.”

“Oh, then you have the right Ben. I am the Ben you want. I am the tour guide Ben. You won’t need me for long. Just go to that there tram and you’re on your way.”

“Thanks, Ben,” Rick said as he walked towards the tram.

A security guard walked up to him. “Are you Rick Arnold? If you are I need to see your papers.”

Rick took a paper out of his pocket and handed it to the guard. The guard looked over the papers before opening the door for Rick. Rick walked in.

    The tram began to move.
    ----------------------------------------
A helicopter flew over the Southwest American desert. It was heading towards a special part of the Silver Mesa facility. The owner of the Silver Mesa facility, Edgar, had decided to show off one of his facility’s newest achievements, dinosaurs. The dinosaur area was located fifty miles west of the Silver Mesa facility.

“Where are you taking us to again?” The Host, an extremely smart person, said as the helicopter flew over the barren desert.

“Damn gardener is late again,” Edgar, mumbled to himself.

    “What?” Host asked.

Suddenly a vast jungle grew in the middle of the jungle.

“Ah, there it is, lad,” Edgar said, pointing to the jungle.

“Um… How did he do that?” Yvonne asked

“Hybrid Miracle-Grow, of course!” Edgar grinned.

“So you can make a jungle appear within seconds by using this…. Miracle-Grow?” Martin Randle asked.

“Duh! That’s what you just saw! How couldn’t you believe it?”

“It might be a piece of cardboard with tree drawings on it,” Host said.

    “Well it isn’t.”
    “But it could be.”
    “But it isn’t.”
    “But it could be.”

“Fine, it could be but it isn’t a cardboard drawing.”

    “But it could be.”
    ----------------------------------------
“Hello, Camel and Spark,” Dan said. Dan was the Director of the International Intelligence and Adventure Agency (IIAA).

    “Hey Dan!” Mr. Camel said.

“What’s up, Dan?” Guilty Spark said.

“We have another mission for you two. We chose you because you’re the best agents we have here, right now. We know that you usually don’t like to do scientific missions, but too bad. That’s your problem.
The problem is that we have some type of toxic pollutant in the Colorado River. It is causing sea monkeys in the Pacific to die. This problem must be stopped as soon as possible.”

“I once ate a sea monkey,” Guilty Spark joked.

“Yeah, what the hell is so important about sea monkeys?” Camel asked.

“The secretary threatened to quit and tell the newspapers about it if we didn’t do something about it,” Dan said.

    “So?” Spark said.

“She also threatened to shave my nose hair.”

“So? How does this bother Camel and I?”
“Ummm…She also said…She also said she would steal your paycheck!”

“Hmmm…this is a problem,” Camel decided. “Fine, we accept.”
    ---------------------------------------
Rick Arnold stepped off of the tram and onto a catwalk. The path led to a guarded airlock. Rick walked up to the guard.

“Ah, hey Rick!” the guard said.

“Oh, hey NowAndAgain!” Rick said as they shook hands. “So, this is where you were promoted to.”

“Yep,” NowAndAgain said as he put his eye near the eye scanning security device. The Scanner beeped three times before opening the door.

“Have fun, Rick. They’re expecting you in the Anomalous Materials Testing Laboratory. You should pick up your HEV suit first.”

“Thanks, NowAndAgain. See you later,” Rick said as he walked through. He followed the green stripe on the side of the wall. It led to the locker room. He found an orange outfit lying on a bench. A sticky note was attached to it.

“Put this suit on right now, mister!” the Sticky Note said.

Rick grabbed the sticky note and threw it into a trashcan.

“No! I will get revenge on you Rick Arnold!” the Sticky Note screamed.

Rick put the suit on and walked back. A scientist greeted him there.

“Follow me,” the scientist said. As they were walking, the scientist briefed Rick on what he was supposed to do.

Rick stepped into the testing lab alone. He walked to the other side, stepping over some rails, and climbed up a ladder. Rick pulled a switch and pushed a green button. A door opened and a cart was pushed onto the rails. A large crystal was in the cart. Rick now held down a blue button. The cart began to move towards the center of the room, towards a large portal.
    ----------------------------------------
The helicopter landed. The people inside, Martin Randle, Yvonne, The Host, and Edgar, walked out and were greeted by Ben the tour guide.

“Hi, folks. Y’all had a nice trip now, didn’t you?”

    “Um…” Yvonne said.

“Of course we did!” Edgar said.

“Great, that’s great, mates! Now if you’ll follow me…” Ben said as he walked into a concrete building. “Ah, the Visitor Center. This is where the visitors go when they get here. Y’all are visitors, right?”

    “I guess.” Yvonne said.

They walked further into the Visitor Center. They passed some dinosaur skeletons before walking into an amphitheater.

“Aye, mates, now you’ll be seeing how them amazing dinosaurs were made!”

    “What dinosaurs?” Randle asked.

“What dinosaurs you ask? Why, the ones you saw on the jeep ride, mate!”

“Um… we didn’t go on a jeep ride,” Yvonne said.

“The pilot said we didn’t have enough fuel!” Edgar explained.

“The jeep ride was closer than the Visitor Center,” Ben argued.

“Well, um… there was a giant blob of toothpaste on the landing pad,” Edgar lied.

“A giant blob of toothpaste you say? How impressive. I should want to see this at once!”

“Uh… it’s already being cleaned up.”

“What a shame. It would have proved to be an interesting specimen for our lab, too.”

“There was no giant blob of toothpaste…” Yvonne said.

“What? What did you say?” Ben asked.

    “There was-“

“Oh, she was just saying how minty the toothpaste looked,” Edgar said. Ben, Host, and Randle sat in seats. Edgar glared cruelly and snarled at Yvonne. Yvonne smiled and sat down next to Randle.
