“Where you going punk?!” Said anonymous voice. “I was going to the bathroom…” Said Charlie. Now here is the thing about Charlie is 11 he goes to Jackson Elementary, and he is a loner. He doesn’t have a lot of friends. And almost everyday of the week he is emotionally bashed. “Get in this fucking bathroom punk!” the kid shoves Charlie through the door and slams the door shut behind him. “You think your so cool, well I’m going to show you cool!” the kid pulls out his wallet chain and wraps in around Charlie’s neck as if he were going to choke him to death. Charlie was trying to reach for something in his pocket. He was turning purple, his eyes were bulging from his skull. This looked like it was the end for Charlie. Then all of a sudden the pencil slipped out of his pocket. He was reaching for his pencil. The other kid didn’t see it fall out. Charlie was reaching for it with all his might. After a few seconds of trying he got it. He took the pencil and slammed down hard into the kid’s eye. Blood spat everywhere, the mirror, the stalls, and even that sticky bathroom tile.

Charlie returned to class. “Where have you been Charlie Lackner?” said the teacher. “I’ve been sick, I was using the restroom. I felt ill.” “Then why are you all wet?” She asked. “I’ve probably been running a fever. I’m sick I said.” “Then you need to go home, here I’ll write you a Nurse pass.” Charlie got up and grabbed the pass, and left the room.
“Why are your clothes red?” The school Nurse asked. “I had a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich for lunch.” “Oh, well I guess that explains it.” Charlie was biting his nails. “Sonny, your ride is here.”
“How are things Charlie?” His mother asked. “Decent.” He replied. “I’m making Chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight.” “Great.” “What’s the matter, you love Chicken and dumplings.” His mother looked confused.

That night after supper the Lackner home phone rang. “I’ll get it!” His mother yelled. Charlie was upstairs finishing some late homework and playing a video game at the same time. Charlie crept downstairs to listen in on this mothers phone call conversation. “Oh my god… how could he have done that… he is sick… well I’ll ask him… look I’m so sorry… ok… have a good night.” His father walked in “What was that about?” he asked “It was he school, it was about Charlie. He did something awful…”
