    Training Wheel Day pt. 1
    By Kronosaurus

    Training Wheel Day

A lone kid sits in a pile of filth, on the corner of the street. He has a cup out begging for candy, for he is addicted. He is utterly alone. So, now he sits looking back on his life the wrongs and the rights, the do’s and the don’ts. A boy walks down the street. “Hey kid, come here”, says the street-corner kid. “M..m…me?” “No, the kid behind you.” The boy looked behind. “BANG!”, says street-corner. “What was that for?” “You’ll see. Come, come, sit down and here my tale and take caution to it, for it is a tale of mortal danger, friendship, and the dark kid underworld. You wouldn’t believe what happens in the sugar city.” “Sugar city?” “Yeah, sugar city.” “I’ve heard that that’s only a myth, child folklore”, replied the boy. “It exists all right, but it can take away your existence away if you take it lightly.” “Can you tell your story?” “Ok, here goes nothing.”

“The year is 2001, and I was tired of my life at only 13, I was tired. I wanted a change, but I got more than I expected.” “All I wanted to do was have some adventures, live on the wild side, you know, have some fun.” “I was a good kid, student, son, but I gave it all up the day I met him, the Sugar King.”

The street-corner kid is seen walking down the street. He is younger, full of life. He turns the corner, a street sign is hit by water right next to his face. He looks; a mean looking kid is running right for him holding a water gun. Street corner turns and runs. The kid is gaining on him. “What do you want?” “You, in a coffin.” Street runs faster turns the corner. “Bang.” The bully falls over on his back. A kid emerges from the shadows and walks over to the falling pursuer. “Please, please don’t kill me.” “Who hired you?” “I’d go to the grave before I told you.” “I can arrange that.” The sound of the firing gun echoes in to the afternoon. “Who, who are you”, asks street. “No time for explanations, come on.”

As street follows the mystery savior, he begins to notice that things kept getting filthier as he goes. Finally they arrive at there destination, a back yard. “Where are we?” “My back yard.” “Wh..Why are we here?” “It’s safe, their after you?” “Who?” “I don’t know, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon.” “Why do they want to kill me.” “How should I know? Listen, you’ll have to stick with me, your life is in danger.” “I..I don’t understand, why would anyone want to kill me?” “Look, I told you once. If you don’t shut up I’ll have to kill you myself.” “Who are you?” “Why I’m the king.” “Of what?” “Of the sugar, I run the sugar trades.” “Isn’t that illegal, if the ...” “The what?” “The police or your parents.” “Parents, what parents.” “You mean you live by yourself?” “Yeah, I do whatever I want whenever I want.” “Don’t you go to school?” “School is for mindless drones. Is it going to matter if you know 2+2? No, when you’re out here on the street it doesn’t matter. I could walk out of the fence and be shot. Today could be your last day, is it really going to matter if you know your times tables?” “There after you kid, odds are you won’t survive.” “Help me, show me your ways.” “Ok, but it’s a dangerous life.” Just then a car pulls up the drive way. “We’ve gotta run”, said King. “I thought you said this was your back yard don’t?” “I lied.”

King and street were walking down the alley, when all of a sudden an explosion near street’s face knocks him to the ground. Water went everywhere. “Come on follow me”, yelled King. “Where are we going?” “After them.” “After who?” “Do you always have to ask me this? We’re after the assassins, you know, the ones who want you dead.” King threw street a gun. “I don’t really know how to shoot”, he said. “Better find out soon”, said King as they ran down the alley after the assassins.

Thus concludes part one of Training Wheel Day, soon to be a motion picture.
