Psymon Stark stood atop the dirt jump and gazed at the sunset. His blue eyes were fixed on the mess of power lines below the jump. About 50 feet from where he was standing was another dirt jump that was made for landing on. He took a deep breath and turned around, walking away from the jump and toward his BMX Bike. He mounted it and put on his helmet, clipping the chin strap ends together. Someone shouted “You gonna jump or not?” from down below. Psymon didn’t answer. He just started pedaling as hard as he could. He reached the jump and pulled the bike up with him. “Piece of cake” he thought to himself. Trying to go all out, Psymon took his feet off the pedals and let go of the handlebars. He stretched out like Superman, doing a “Superman Nothing” 70 feet above the ground. Just as he was going to pull himself back onto the bike, the bike began floating away. He panicked and tried to grab the rear wheel, but was unsuccessful. He looked down; he was right over the power lines. He had only one choice, to grab onto the power lines. If he didn’t, he would fall to the ground 70 feet below. He watched the power lines get closer and closer. He made his move. He grabbed onto the nearest power line and hung there. He closed his eyes, waiting for the surge of power to flow through his body, but it did not come. “Was I lucky or what?” he muttered to himself. Just as those words left his lips, he felt the surge of power he was bracing for. His flame-etched gloves smoked as he shook more and more violently. He wrenched his hands free and fell 30 feet to the ground below. “Psymon?” a blonde haired man said. “Psymon, you alright man?” He checked his pulse, it was extremely weak. “Call 911 now!!!” The man shouted to one of his friends. “Psymon!” He screamed. His only answer was his own voice, echoing off into the distance…
