    The Refusals: Chapter. Two

"Tim, C'mon...were going to be late!", a young woman said jumping into a 2006 purple explorer.
Lex Murphy, twenty-six years old, quickly pulled her blonde hair into a ponytail and started the car up. She was completly grown up. She was running her own computer company which fixed, made and invented new software for high-tech computers.
"I'm,i'm coming", a man said closing the door to a big two story house and running towards the SUV.
The man was Tim Murphy, he was now twenty-two years old, he had short but bushy ginger brown hair. A large book was in his hand which he rested on the floor of the car where his feet wen't, on the cover was Alan Grant and a title of "The Isla Sorna Riot" which Grant had written telling about his experiences on Isla Sorna.
Tim was an assistant at a dig site in the Montana Dessert and next year he would finally become a regular paleontologist.
"Grandpa Sounded rushed...wonder what he wants us their for?", Lex said fixing the rearview mirror on her car.
Tim grabbed the book from beside his feet and flipped threw many pages until he found a bookmark marking the page he had last been on.
"I'm just happy that were going to meet Dr. Grant again", Tim said turning the next page in his book.
Lex smiled and glanced over at Tim. "You've reread that book four times Timmy...you should focus on your book".
Tim flipped another page over looking at Lex as he did. "Lex...I've had writers block for three days...i'll get back to it soon though".
He had been writing a book on dinosaurs and his adventure on Isla Nublar.
"I talked to dad yesterday Timmy", Lex said frowning at the thought.
Tim looked at her and then back at his book. "I don't care...about time he called though".
"He asked about you you know".
Tim shrugged. "Well I don't want to talk about him Lex".
Lex nodded and focused on the road ahead of her without saying another word. After about an hour of driving; they arrived to the front of their grandfathers house and both got out and walked to the front door.
"Their aren't any car's?", Lex said looking around as she knocked on the door and also ringing the doorbell.
"Maybe were early?", Tim said bending down to tie his left shoe.

The door slowly opened and a man who looked to be in his early thirty's opened the door giving both of them dirty looks.
Lex, who was taken aback by the look they were given raised an eyebrow. "Umm...were here to see my grandfather".
    "Yeah, yeah, yeah...come in".

The two of them slowly walked in past the mean looking man. Lex started up a set of stairs as well as Tim slowly behind. The man just stood by the door watching the two young adults dissapearing into a hallway.
"Tim? Is that guy a new worker here?", Lex asked still in the lead.
Her brother set his book down on a coffee table in the middle area of the hallway and continued on. "I don't know Lex, I don't think so though".
They both had unsure expressions spread across their faces as they entered their grandfathers big room. Their grandfather was sitting down on a chair reading a book, he looked up and smiled at the two. "Tim!...Lex!...Come and sit!".
"Hey grandpa! Their was a man who answered the door to let us in...he was dressed in a leather black suit? Who was that?", Lex asked sitting down on her grandpa's bed as well as Tim who sat next to her.
"Oh...the man must work for my company...don't worry, their harmless", Hammond said adding a chuckle at the end.
Tim looked at Lex and then back at his grandfather with confusion. "...Grandpa why did you call us here right now?...And where's Alan Grant and the others?".
"They'll be here soon", Alan said looking down at the floor. "Why don't we just start you two".
    "Sure grandpa", Lex said.

"Dinosaurs have been showing up in Costa Rica and many death's have been occuring...InGen is sadly forcing anyone who has been on the island's and around the dinosaurs minus the Kirby's and Billy Brennan...".
Lex stood up and crossed her arm's. "What's your point Grandpa...I can't believe this!".
"The point is...you have to go to Costa Rica...and San-Diego to investigate deaths that been occuring their".
"Your kidding...right?", She asked with worry in her eyes.
Hammond looked down again. "I'm afraid not Lex".
"I...I have to go grandpa...c'mon Tim", Lex said turning around to leave the room. But before she could reach the door, the man they had seen earlier who answered the door blocked the entrance to her grandfather's room. "I'm sorry but thats the wrong answer".

Lex rolled onto the floor being kicked on the back by the man who had answered ber grandfathers door. His name was Vincen't "Vince" Ryans, he was tall and slightly muscular but also thin, he looked like he was in his late thirtys.
"Are you gonna change your mind?!", Vince yelled.
Vince and Lex were in a small room with a long and wide mirror on one side of the room. On the other side, Tim was being forced to watch his sister get beat, a man held a gun to his head. "So...do you wan't that to be you? Huh?! Do you agree to go to Costa Rica or not?".

Lex rolled once again across the floor, the man bent down and looked her in the eyes, Lex had cuts on her face and tears were running down her cheeks. "So...do you agree to go?".
"Yes!...just stop...it", Lex said weakly before fainting.

Lex was dragged out the small room and thrown into a dark grey van with no windows besides the front portion of the van. Tim had rope around his wrists. "You're lucky you didn't fight back you know".
Tim looked at the man who was speaking. "Otherwise...you'd end up like your sister, Dr. Grant and the others".
Tim's eyes brightened up but he decided not to speak, he was relieved to see Alan Grant in this situation even though he was another victim in this mysterious event that was taking place.

    Running In Chaos/Jennifer Malcolm:Chapter Three

"Sarah...come outside, it's beautiful out here", a woman said from outside a nice, big backyard with lounge chairs and a table with a sun-umbrella parched over it, a large doughboy pool in the center over the nicely trimmed grass.
The woman was the nineteen year old Jennifer Malcolm, she was averagly tall, had long, curly brown yet almost black hair that mached perfectly well with her eyes. She had a big smile spread across her face.
The temperature of the weather was just right which was surprising considering it was summer, birds chirped as they flew from tree to tree in a slow and calming pattern, dogs could be heard barking from a far distance.
"Coming...", a voice said from inside a big two story house which obviously belonged to the yard. "Do you want a soda or water?".
"No thanks Sarah", Jennifer said eagerly.
Sarah Harding walked out into the yard sitting down across from Jennifer taking a sip of water from a nice glass mug.
"When did my dad say he would be back?", Jennifer said with a small grin spread across her face.

Jennifer Malcolm was a eager and even-tempered young woman, she had barely found her dad after around thirteen years. Her mom and Ian, her dad had gotten a divorce when she was only six years old almost seven and one day when she had gotten home from school; her mom and dad were gone and she found her aunt their instead telling her that her mom and dad were 'on a trip'. She had waited for a whole three weeks until her mom had returned...without her dad. Then when she had reached the age was sixteen, her mom abandoned her without any notice of where she was going or staying at, then fortunetly she had found her dad only a week ago and had been staying with him and his wife Sarah ever since.
"Oh, he should be coming from the store in about a hafe an hour. So do you enjoy staying here?...Be truthful!", Sarah said with a small laugh.
Jennifer just smiled and blantley answered the question. "I like it here actually, to tell you the truth, I haven't felt more at home in a long time Sarah...it's good".
Just as Sarah was about to respond to Sarah's answer, the power from inside the house went out. It didn't do too much damage since it was still sunny and their were many windows to every room so light shined in perfectly.
"Don't worry, the circuit's have been acting up latley", Sarah said standing up and walking into the house. "I'll just be a second, got to flip the switches".
Jennifer continued to smile and sighed with happiness and relief, life could not be anymore perfect she though. Nothing could possibly go wrong...'nothing'. Remember though...theirs always a problem and you can't escape that. Wherever you go...their's a problem, even if its so tiny you would need a magnifying glass just to look at it...it's still their...

Jennifer started to get a little worried when ten minutes past with no sign or sound of Sarah. Slowly getting up, Jennifer walked into the house crawling up a flight of stairs leading up to the second story of the house. Thats where Sarah's room was located so Jennifer just figured that Sarah was in her and her dads bedroom doing a task of some sort.
"Sarah?", Jennifer said as she opened Sarah's door slightly peering in.
No sign of Sarah, the room was silent and motionless. She turned around and almost screamed when she saw a boot that belonged to a man's leg sticking out from another door not too far from her.
"Sh*t!", Jennifer said slowly backing into Sarah's room.
Just as she was about to slam the door; a man rammed into it knocking Jennifer onto the floor with a sharp and strong impact. The man looked at her with a sarcastic smile spread across his face. On the shoulder of the black leather suit he was wearing were knitted words of 'InGen'.
The man was about to bend down to grab her by the arms when Jennifer punched him as hard as she could in the face making the man yelp in pain jumping back, out the open door of the room and into the hallway behind him. Jennifer stood up and slammed the door shut, she screamed when she saw that their was no lock on the door. She looked around in a panicked frenzy, not a telephone in sight, she was trapped...their was only one alternative, the window!

Jennifer tried opening the window but it wouldn't budge so she grabbed the nearest closest object to her, a lamp and threw it as hard as she could at the window behind Sarah and her dads bed. The door suddenly burst open and the man tried lunging at her but she was too quick for him and she crawled onto the bed and jumped out the window.
Fortunetly she managed to grab onto the edge of the house but she was slipping, she looked down and gasped at how far she was from the bottom of the house.
"Let go of me!", She screamed when the man suddenly crawled out from the window and grabbed a hold of her arm trying to pull her in.
The extremely scared Jennifer let go of the side of the house and punched the man once again until he let go of her. She screamed in terror as she fell down to the ground, luckily she had fell feet first and hit the ground with her feet. Still, that was too much pain to handle, as she fell and rolled across the grass covered front lawn of the house, pain was acheing threw her feet from the force of landing.
"Oww...oww...god help!", she cried out grabbing at her feet and making sure she wasn't bleeding anywhere.
She sighed when she realized that the only place she had cut herself was her knees and elbows, her clothes were torn and covered in wet grass, her hair was now messy and frizzy.
She slowly stood up and almost callapsed but luckily managed to keep her balance. She was about to run over to the house near by but remembered that the biggest event of the year, the grand opening of a huge theme park was taking place and everyone on the block was attending. Just her damn luck.
"C'mon!", She said as she began to limp quickly towards her truck nearby, she reached into her pants pocket and felt nothing, her keys must have fallen out when she was first attacked by the man.
    "No...Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t!".

She wasn't going to give up though, she limped over to the lawn of another persons house and grabbed a baseball bat which probably belonged to the local kids and trotted back to her light blue almost green truck. She smashed the bat against her window breaking the glass instantly.
"Get the f**k over here!", a voice yelled in anger.
Jennifer looked back and cried in fear when the man burst threw the front door of the house running towards her. She did the first thing that came to mind and climbed threw the broken trucks window, the man grabbed her legs and began to pull but she kicked him continously ignoring the scorching pain running up from her hip to her feet. The man let go falling to the ground, this was her chance! She reached for her glove compartment and grabbed a small pocket knife flipping it open and jamming it into the ignition.
"Please!...C'mon", she said as she turned the knife. The truck roared to life which made her cheer with happiness and adrenaline. "Yes!".

About to pull forward, Jennifer whimpered in fear when a black van parked in front of her truck blocking the way, white words printed onto the visible side which like on the mans leather suit read 'InGen'. She put the truck in reverse and stepped onto the gas pedal when suddenly her truck hit into another black van also parked behind her. She began to cry and search for anything she could use for a weapon but ultimatly gave up when she saw Sarah who was unconsious being carried out by two men. She was done for she thought in fear when she saw the man that had been kicked to the floor stand up and reach threw the broken window opening the door reaching towards her.

    The Field Trip
    Chapter. Four

"C'mong everybody!", a woman yelled out to a group of kids walking out of a big, yellow school bus parked in the center of many paths and one road. "Grab your things and lets get going on this hike...no cell-phones or any other mechanical devices of any kind".
A girl in her mid-teens struggled to put her black sweater on while she carried a large backpack. "Jerry!...Chris!...Help me!".
Two boys quickly walked out from the bus and grabbed her backpack just as she was about to drop it onto the ground.
"What do you have in here?", Chris said struggling to hold onto it. "Rocks and Bricks Alyson?".
Alyson Marino sighed with relief as she completed the task of putting on her sweater, the hot air hitting against her face and body causing her long, blonde and curly hair to sway in every direction. She reached into a pocket in her khacki shorts and quickly tied her hair with a hairtye she had pulled out. The sixteen year old snatched the backpack from her best friends hand and swung it onto her backpack like their was nothing to it.
"I just packed some extra pairs of clothes, a compuss, water bottles, some food and a...Pocket Knife".

Chris Vanders raised an eyebrow. He had just turned sixteen a couple days ago, his brown hair was combed to the front in a sort of messy style but looked appropriate none-the-less. The only thing he had with him was a large bottle of water in one hand, a sandwhich in his pocket and a pocket knife just like Alyson's. "I know you have more than just those things...how many pairs of clothes did you bring?".
"Well, I hope this trip amounts to something guys...remember last time?", another boy, Jerry, said standing next to the two.
Jerry Lewis, sixteen years old with ginger brown hair wiped sweat from his face. Why did he agree to come on this trip he thought to himself. It was going to be just like last time their was a school hiking event for the start of the summer. Nothing interesting was going to happen, the last time he had came hiking with the school but only that time was in the mountains, all they had found was a baby deer with its parents eating leaves from a bush. But this place did look pretty interesting so maybe this time it would be a lucky trip and they would see more than one animal...

"Okay guys! I want all of us to meet at this sopt, wlak in one direction along these paths so you'll know which way to walk back because we don't need this to turn into a huge FBI scenario where everyone is missing so stay together and follow the rules", the woman said.
The woman was young, and muscular, she had long brown hair which was tied back behind her neck, and was dressed in khacki pants and a black-sleeveless shirt. Her name was Tanner Williams and she was only twenty-two years old.
"Now remember, twelth graders all walk in that direction, tenth graders all walk in that direction and", Tanner said pointing toward a ugly mud filled path"...the 'freshman' go in that direction...guess we don't have any juniors with us on this trip".
Alyson walked towards Tanner as she examined the 'Freshman' path. "Umm...Tanner is it?...Yeah, shouldn't the freshman get a...better path to walk in".
Tanner turned around to face Alyson and gave her a big, dirty look. "Are you a freshma?".
Alyson was suprised by the tone Tanner had in her voice. "No, i'm a sophmore...well i'm gonna be a Junior actually but it's not the new school year yet...".
"Look! I didn't even want to come on this stupid ass trip but had to do it for my science class because of my University so just let the freshman deal with it...Seniors come with me".

A group of people began following Tanner down one of the paths and dissapeared, the freshman and sophmores were left alone in the middle of the paths.
Alyson looked at all the people which were not much. "How many of you are Freshman?...Raise your hands".
Everysingle student except for Alyson and her two friends raised their hand with exhaustion and confusion in their eyes.
"Well I guess you guys can come with us".
Jerry quickly walked up to Alyson with wide eyes. "No way, do you want Tanner to go crazy on us when we get back?!".
Alyson began walking down one of the paths with everyone following behind. "They can just cut off into their own path when we get near by, I'll leave a ribbon more down the path on one of the trees so we know when they have to switch over".
Chris smirked. "Tanner didn't tell us the whole thing".
"What 'Whole' thing?", Alyson asked staring at him with interest.
Chris laughed and looked over at her, everyone else was staring at him waiting for an answer. "She 'forgot' to tell us that were allowed to write comments on how she treated us and how well she did on the hike, we can send it to the university. My sister goes their, she told me".
Alyson and just about everyone gave an evil smirk as they thought about the comments they were going to submit.
Alyson looked over at a girl who looked like she was about to break down and cry. She walked over to her and decided to walk with her. "Whats wrong...You look depressed".
The girl quickly looked over at Alyson and then back ahead. "Nothing...everythings fine".
"Your parents made you come on this trip huh?", Alyson said with a giggle.
The girl smiled and zipped up her jacket even though it was extremely hot. "Yeah...parents huh?".
Alyson stopped to tie a red ribbon around a tall tree, everyone continued ahead except for the girl she had been talking to a minute ago.
"So how old are you?", Alyson asked as her and the girl began once again walking.
"I'm fourteen...I'm about to turn fifteen in a couple days".
    "I'm sixteen...my names Alyson".
The girl smiled and pushed her hair away from her face. "I'm Ariana, I like your name".
"I like your's too. Do you have a science class, well...did you?", Alyson said correcting herself seeing as it was the end of the school year.
    "Yeah, I had Mr. Love".
Alyson laughed. "I had him my freshman year, they should call him 'The Spitter' huh?".
Alyson and Ariana laughed as they began to dig into conversation.

Jerry and Chris were ahead of the group taking photographs of the surrounding area with digital cameras that they had snuck into their pockets while Alyson and Tanner had been argueing.
"Where did your mom and dad go?", Chris asked Jerry as he took another photo.
Jerry sighed in annoyance about the subject. "Uh, they wen't to Reno to celebrate their anniversary, it's their seventeenth one".
    "Wheres your sister at?".
Jerry took another photo and continued on. "Shes with my grandmother".
"Oh", Chris said looking over to the side, he was about to take another photo when suddenly a small green creature jumped out from a bush nearby, it was the size of a small chicken.
"What the hell is that!?", Jerry asked in fascination.
Chris began taking many photos of the strange creature. Everyone examined it with awe in their eyes. It stood on its hind legs and had three toes on each of its feet, a long neck and it had a row of sharp teeth in its long little snout.

Everyone began chatting amongst themselves trying to determine what the creature was. Suddenly Ariana gasped pulling a book from her backpack.
"Guys! I think I know what that thing is!", She said as she flipped threw the pages uncontrollably.
"Well?", Jerry said walking next to her to see into the book immedietly laughing after catching a glimpse. "...This is a dinosaur book, I don't think that animal is a...".
Ariana almost screamed. "Here it is!".
Everyone crowded behind her and examined the creature comparing it to the picture in the book.
"I knew it!...Oh my gosh, its a Procompnathugus!".
Alyson raised an eyebrow and looked at Ariana. "Whats that?".
    Ariana's jaw dropped down. "It's a...dinosaur".
Everyone looked at Ariana like she was crazy and were about to look at the creature but were extremely dissapointed to see that it was gone. They all looked at the picture of the creature in the book with wonder.

    Invincibility Act
    Chapter. Five

"No help me please!" a girl running threw a thick dense jungle yelled pushing threw tree branches low to the ground.

The woman frantically ran in pratically every direction looking for something, anything, she looked around Seventeen years old. She had a backpack on her and a pocket knife which was open in her hand, she looked absolutley petrified. She did the first thing that came to mind and ran over to a nearby tree climbing it quickly until she reached the top. She gripped onto one of the thick branches. She heard the sound of twigs snapping , the girl looked ahead towards the jungle to try and see where the noise was coming from but it seemed awfuly close. Then suddenly it dawned on her, the branch she was on was breaking from all her weight.

"shoot!", the girl screamed as the branch gaveway sending her to the ground in one heap.

She silently lyed on the floor as if she was unconsiounce until she suddenly lifted her head when she heard voices. Not knowing if she was just hearing things or if they were real she stood up and quickly began looking around.

    Twenty Minutes Earlier

Tanner along with all the senior students walked along their path quietly admiring the nature around them, though the heat was unbearable which was strange considering it was the evening.

"How long is this path Tanner?", a girl asked hitting her cheek trying to swat a Mosquito away from her.

Tanner looked at her watch and then ahead. "I don't know...it's 5:00 PM so we've been walking for around an two hours. We'll turn back around at 5:30 PM".

One of the boys behind a girl who was trying to stay in the middle of the group, constantly pulled leaves from nearby bushes and continued to stick them in the girls hair. "Can you please stop it Jared?!".

Tanner looked behind her and saw the boy laughing as he threw brush and leaves into the girls hair. She smiled in annoyance and amusement, that boy was probably going to end up serving french fries and burgers for the rest of his life in a drivethrew and the girl was probably going to end up in a nice lawyers outfit. But what did she know right?

"That is it!", the girl screeched walking over to Tanner pulling some of the leaves out of her hair.

"What Larisa?", Tanner said with a sigh.

Larisa continued to pull leaves from her red-brown hair as she gave the boy a threatening look and then looked at Tanner. "Listen...I'm just gonna go to the bus and wait for you guys, I'll follow the path and I have my flashlight if it gets too dark to see".

Tanner sighed and thought for a second until finally nodding her head. "Yeah, I really shouldn't be letting you go but seeing the curtaint circumstances..." Tanner looked at the boy who looked away with a pissed off gaze. "I'll let you go...just be careful and Don't lose your way!".

The girl nodded and began walking back to the direction they had came from passing by the boy and she quickly gave him a mean smirk. "idiot".

Larisa was still walking when she froze from the sound of a boy scream, it sounded just like Jared. She spun around and saw Tanner and the other students staring in shock towards the woods in front of them.

"What the hell happened?", Larisa asked. "Wheres Jared...".

Suddenly a girl from behind Tanner was thrown to the floor and dragged into the woods, only her screams were heard until even that died off.

Tanner and everyone sprinted down the path right after, Larisa ran in the opposite direction afraid that whatever the thing that got the two kids would run out and get her too, she decided to run in the woods opposite the path.

    Present Time

Larisa limped across the leave covered ground trying to search for the source of the noise, it sounded like a girl and boy talking...she heard a noise coming from far behind and began sprinting trying to ignore the pain in her legs. She sighed with happiness and relief when she saw the freshman group walking along their path not too far away from her. She was going to scream for help but decided not too since whatever was out their might hear her, instead she began to quickly limp again towards the group with Alyson and Chris in the lead.

Alyson looked over at Jerry from behind, Chris noticed this. "You like him huh?".

Alyson giggled, her cheeks turning red from the question. "No I don't...were all just friends, you guys are 'both' like brothers to me".

    "Right", Chris said sarcastically.

From behind Larisa was getting closer but still pretty far away enough for the group to not hear her whispering. Larisa thought she heard another noise this time nearby and decided to just let it all out, just as she was about to scream something grabbed her legs and yanked her into the trees nearby causing her to scream in terror. Alyson and the group turned around all gasping in surprise from the sudden screams, they peered down the path until Jerry began laughing.

"The seniors are just trying to scare us", Jerry said amused.

    "Didn't that scream sound a little, I don't know...realistic Jerry?", Chris asked.

Alyson just nodded staring at Jerry and then down the path. Jerry just nodded with a smile. "Yeah and thats why they probably used Larisa to do the screaming, shes been taking Drama classes since Freshman year, their probably laughing at us because were standing here and getting scared".

Ariana was also very unsure but just began walking quickly. "C'mon guys, lets at least walk fast...maybe we'll even catch a glimpse of that Compy we saw".

Everyone nodded and began following except for Alyson and Chris who were just staring at each other with unsurity until finally agreeing and walking with the group.
