    **************************************************
    OPENING…
Two years after “A Shadow of Doubt”

Morning sunlight spilt through a pair of dense rain clouds over the lush tropical forest island of Isla Nublar. The rays of light barely penetrated through the thick treetops giving everything under their huge umbrella like tops a sense of isolation. Tropical birds chirped and sung vibrantly as they glided through the cool air in search of their morning meal.

Somewhere inside the new visitors center, located a couple miles inland from the shore, a group of representatives from InGen’s security teams were having a meeting discussing the re-opening of Jurassic Park which was suppose to occur within a month. 27 days to be exact…

Amongst these representatives stood one man at the head of a long steel table where everyone was seated. His name was Bruce Green the newest head of InGen and the self-proclaimed savior of the floundering business. He was 42 years old with dark black hair that had a bit of gray sneaking up along the temples and he stood at nearly six feet in height. His steel blue eyes and worn forehead gave him a demanding look as he stared at the men and women seated before him.

“In 27 days,” he began once he felt he had everyone’s attention “the greatest dream the world has ever known will be reborn. In 27 days the vision of a brilliant mind will once again shine for all the world to see…and in 27 days InGen will once again be the most respected scientific organization in the world!”

The group of 20 or so security employees and representatives clapped loudly and some even shouted with joy, so much hard work had been put into the redevelopment of Jurassic Park and it was finally time for them to share there work with tourist from around the world.

“John Hammond was a demigod to some…and in some respects he WAS a God, giving birth to species that had been extinct for millions of years and…” he paused again, smiling “in 27 days his vision will finally be completed!” Once again the representatives clapped and cheered. “However, there are a few problems we must still overcome if the opening date will be met and these are just not minor problems. We have pending lawsuits…security problems…and other genetic companies resorting to any cause to sabotage our opening.”

Bruce Green stared hard into the eyes of the employees before him. “But before we address those points in this meeting and come to a solution, I would like to introduce to you a man that has sacrificed his life for the prosperity of InGen and to him we owe nearly everything. You see, nearly ten years ago before Jurassic Park was originally scheduled to open InGen was on the verge of collapse in terms of its profits and was ready to file bankruptcy…

“It was during this time that a rival company, Biosyn, sent a spy name Chris Griffin to sabotage our entire security system and steal the genetic code for the magnificent animals we have raised. However, his attempt was foiled by the man I am about to introduce to you and during a final battle with Christopher Griffin he was severely wounded and nearly killed. But to have Christopher Griffin convicted and to receive insurance money which would save InGen from going bankrupt we had to falsify the deaths of many employees…which meant that even there families and loved ones would have to believe that they were dead. This was Mr. Hammond’s darkest secret and many men that work for our company today are actually believed dead by their closest friends and family. Unfortunately, in order to collect the insurance benefits these family members could never and WILL never find that they’re loved ones are still alive and well….

“The man I introduce to you today IS a hero for InGen and he has sacrificed much for the good of this company, including someone he loved deeply. Ladies and Gentlemen I introduce to you Thomas Gordon…”

Everyone at the steel table turned to face the back of the board room where a long figure stood against the far wall. He was a tall man, very attractive and had dark brown hair which was thrown lazily back across the top of his head. Along the right side of his face a barely visible scar that traveled down from his temple to the lower part of his chin, it was the only visible scar that this man had from his gruesome battle with Chris Griffin but inside he mentally carried much deeper more prominent scars. Thomas Gordon stood calmly and acknowledge the group with a gesture he made with his right hand…

An applause steadily began and then reached a tremendous apex before Bruce Green whistled and drew everyone’s attention back to himself “Thomas Gordon it is a great pleasure for you to be working for us once again and I am sure I speak for everyone when I say you are model for everyone to follow and look up to…” Once again everyone clapped “Now, I am sorry to cut your welcoming short but we have more pressing matters to discuss which I am sure even you will be interested in Mr. Gordon.”

Thomas Gordon nodded his head “Then go ahead Bruce…I’m all ears.”

Green nodded his head “As most of you are aware there have been many tragic incidents that have plagued this park over the years and all of them have been thoroughly dealt with and solved…except for one…A few years ago a married couple was stranded on our sister island when there small yacht struck shore. On their journey inland in search of help the woman, Stephanie Gravision was killed. The man, Jake Gravision was captured and was going to be sent to Costa Rica for trespassing charges but somehow he escaped and returned back to the mainland, from where he has been a thorn in our side ever since…

“He is the only force that could stop this park from opening this month but fortunately we have come to an understanding with him. His has agreed to visit this park and sign a legal document stating that he will no longer pursue legal or illegal actions against our company…in return we will finally compensate him for the loss of his wife. Personally, I am surprised that we have been able to even get this far in our negotiations he is a very stubborn man. Next week he will be coming to this island to go on a full tour to see if the security meets his approval and our new head of security…Mr. Gordon,” he gestured toward Thomas with his right hand “will be the one that takes him on this ‘tour’…

“Everyone has a job to do and I expect them to do it in a professional manner so that everything runs smoothly…”

    **************************************************
    CHAPTER 1…

Jake Gravision, now 42 years old but none the less handsome or charming as he was years ago, stepped down onto a landing platform from the small jet that had taken him from Costa Rica to Isla Nublar. He had never been on the island before, but as he looked across the open landing strip towards the thick green jungles images of his wife poured into his mind. It had been nearly four years since she was tragically killed on Isla Sorna yet Jake still carried a deep and heavy wound over his heart…

At the bottom of the landing platform a man waited for him smiling largely with and extended hand as Jake reached the bottom step and hoped on to the pavement just below. Both men shook hands.

“Hello Mr. Gravision it’s a pleasure to meet you,” the man said “I’m Thomas Gordon, head of security here on Isla Nublar and I speak for everyone…including the new President of InGen, when I tell you how sorry I am for your loss all those years ago.”

Jake nodded his head politely, “Thank you Mr. Gordon…”

“Mr. Green, the President of this company, is anxious to meet you….why don’t you follow me to my jeep and I will take you to the visitors center where he awaits you.”

With that Jake Gravision and Thomas Gordon walked across the hot pavement and both stepped into a black jeep. Their drive to the visitor’s center was fairly quick…Minutes later Jake Gravision was standing in the lobby of the center which featured a large welcoming banner and a statute of John Hammond in his memorial. Standing across the way was Bruce Green who quickly made his way over to the two men and introduced himself to Jake.

“Mr. Gravision, I just want to apologize on behalf of Mr. Hammond and the ‘former’ InGen that overlooked the tragic incident involving your wife. The reason I have invited you here today is to show you that this park is no longer a safety concern and we would also like to fully compensate your loss in a manner that the late Mr. Hammond refused to do…”

“Thank you Mr. Green, I have fought hard for the past several years to help close you and your company down…” he grinned “but I can tell already that this isn’t the same company…the hospitality and genuine sorrow over my wife’s tragic passing is already evident and I look forward to coming to a mutual agreement with you.”

It was hard for even Jake to tell if he truly meant what he said. He had finally accepted the death of his wife and was grateful that InGen was going out of its way to somewhat compensate him, but he never knew if he could truly be rid of his hatred towards them.

“So Mr. Gravision,” said Bruce as they began walking across the lobby towards the dining area “When would you like to go on the tour of the newly configured island?”

Jake shook his head, “Whenever I am finished with lunch…” he laughed “I haven’t eaten a thing since yesterday evening…”

“Well in that case Mr. Gravision,” smiled Green “Why don’t I lead you further into the dining area where you will find world class meals awaiting you.”

Two hours later Jake Gravision sat in an eerily familiar vehicle from Jurassic Park’s first tour that had ended tragically with at least four men dead and several others wounded. Its paint scheme was bright and outrageous and was completely electronic running along an electric railing centered down a long road that traveled all over the island. Thomas Gordon, his ‘tour guide’ was sitting next to him in back seat as they prepared for the trip to commence.

Suddenly the vehicle lurched forward and they were heading into the park. Jake Gravision felt a rush of adrenaline. The last time he experienced these animals in person he was nearly killed and his wife…The memories stopped and he tried to push them into the back of his mind. He was going to try and enjoy this trip, not dwell on mistakes of the past.

“So, Mr. Gordon how long have you worked for InGen,” he decided to start up a conversation…

Gordon smiled, “First off…call me Tom, we are going to be in this vehicle for the next couple hours so we might as well be a little less formal and to answer your question…too many years…”

Gravision laughed, “Must be a wild experience everyday, I mean you never know what is going to happen, uh?”

Gordon nodded his head recalling some of his ‘adventures’ from the past.

“You married?” Jake pressed on and this time he knew he hit a nerve with Thomas because he seemed to flinch, if only for a second before regaining his composure.

“No…but I had a beautiful girlfriend once and we were planning to marry…” he seemed to trail off as the vehicle made its way up to the large gates which lead into the actual park, “But terrible events occurred that prevented that…”

    “Is she dead?”

Gordon grinned, “No, but she thinks I am…It’s a long story Jake and I don’t really feel like sharing it. I am sure you aren’t into sharing your experience with anyone else, either…”

“Not really…but sometimes it helps to talk with someone about it, especially someone that understands the feeling of loosing a loved one. I’ve learned that the only way to enjoy life is to accept the tragedies that occur and move on…”

“That’s easier said then done Jake…easier said then done…”

The vehicle continued on, deeper into the park until suddenly it stopped. Thomas Gordon looked nervously over at Jake and then reached down below the seat to remove a walkie-talkie. He checked to make sure he had it on the right frequency before speaking into it

“Command Center this is Gordon, do you copy…?” Static… “Repeat Command Center, do you copy?” There was still no response…Finally somebody responded.

“Gordon…sorry about that, we have a problem on the tracks just around the bend, it seems that one of the gates has collapsed onto it and everything short-circuited. We are sending a Jeep to pick you guys up.”

“Roger that…” he turned towards Jake, “Well not exactly the way we wanted things to turn out on the first tour but we would rather be safe then sorry. Don’t you agree…”

“Of course, safety is my primary concern during my stay here…”

    CHAPTER 2…

Back at the Control Center Bruce Green slammed his fist down on a table. Things were falling apart…A twenty yard section of security fences had just been completely blown away and other systems were failing throughout the park. A recent update from Security showed that Biosyn spies were behind the attacks and so far they had not been located. This was not how things had been planned…

“Damn it…” he said aloud to nobody in particular. What was he going to do? The whole purpose of having Jake Gravision come to the island was to have him sign an agreement in which he would state that the security had met with his approval…So far though things were becoming a disaster. This was the third attack by Biosyn in the last 6 years…Suddenly the phone next to him rang. He picked it up…

    “Yes?”

“Mr. Green, we have spotted a small vessel a half mile off our shores and we have reason to believe it is the property of Biosyn. Do I have permission to dispatch a helicopter patrol after them?”

“Yes…” replied Bruce “and I want you to radio into the mainland and alert the Costa Rican government that there has been another terrorist attack on our property.” He paused “Meanwhile, I will personally see to it that Mr. Gordon and Mr. Gravision make it back to the Control Center in one piece.”

    “Affirmative…”

Bruce hung up the phone and turned back to Darren Walker the second in command for security on the island, “Mr. Walker do we have any reports on the status of the animals? And which animal paddock did the fencing belong too?”

Walker worked quickly on his computer and came up with a visual reference to the park, “Looks like it was only the fencing to one of the herbivore sections on the tour…”

“Good, how quickly can we have the systems fixed and get that fencing back up?”

“Four hours, maximum the system should be back up in a matter of minutes but unfortunately the fencing will take a few hours because we only have a skeleton crew on the island this weekend…”

Bruce Green nodded his head, but there was something that didn’t seem exactly right…Something didn’t add up about the attacks…There timing…purpose… “I’m going to be in my quarters Darren. If anything else happens give me a call.”

    “Yes sir.”

A jeep with the Jurassic Park logo pulled up along side the tour vehicle just as Thomas and Jake were stepping out of it. The driver of the jeep hoped out with two other men and turned to face Thomas.

“I’m taking my men just around the corner to begin work on the fencing, it appears we have had some sort of terrorist attack. Mr. Green said for us to leave you the jeep so you can head back to the control center,” said the driver.

“Alright,” replied Gordon “How many people are still at the Control Center?”

    “Only Mr. Walker.”

“Thanks,” Gordon turned to face Jake as the men ran off down the road to join up with a group of workers that were arriving at the spot of the explosion “I guess me and you should head back to the Control Center and see what is happening there…There’s not much we can do to help them out with that,” he gestured towards the destroyed fencing.

They both climbed into the jeep and sped it off in the direction it had come from. Gordon was in the drivers seat and Jake sat next to him. There was an awkward silence as they raced back to the Control Center…

“Tell me Thomas…” commented Jake out of the blue “What sort of extremes would you go to, to avenge someone’s death?”

“What?” Gordon looked over towards Jake “What do you mean?”

“I mean…how far would you go to ‘put things right’ in your life?”

Thomas looked down for a second trying to push away the horrible memories. Suddenly images of his dear girlfriend Helena flashed in his head, he hadn’t seen her in many years…Slowly he responded, “I suppose I would go pretty far…” he looked back up towards Jake and to his surprise he saw the barrel of a semi-automatic handgun point at his face.

    “Stop the vehicle Thomas…”

He complied with Jake’s request and pulled over to the side of the dirt road and shut off the ignition.

“I’m sorry,” said Jake “This is something I have to do…I never thought I would get the chance to come to this island, but when Mr. Green unexpectedly invited me to check out the security systems I knew it was my finally opportunity to set things right…Now I am going to have to take your weapon and walkie-talkie, for my safety.”

Gordon handed over both of them at Gravision’s request.

“Sorry Thomas, I am going to have to leave you here and by the time you get back to the Control Center I will probably be gone,” he glanced down at the ground “But somehow…I know you understand why I have gone to these extremes…Farewell.”

With that he slid over into the drivers seat, started the ignition and sent the vehicle screaming down the dirt road that headed towards the Control Center. Thomas Gordon stood alone amidst the foliage hard in thought…He understood why Jake had done what he had done and he released the amount of planning it had taken to stage a fake terrorist attack. It was all apart of his plan, the Control Center would be all but abandoned leaving him alone to tamper with and destroy anything he pleased.

In fact, Gordon even respected the plan…His thoughts trailed off but there was one thing he knew he had to do and that was getting back to the Control Center as soon as he could. With a deep sigh, he turned and sprinted as fast as he could towards the direction Jake Gravision had taken his jeep…

Meanwhile out in the sea, Rick Stiller and Richard Levine were heading out away from the island as quickly as they could on their speedboat. The boat hit small waves at tremendous speed and sent it catapulting through the air until it landed and then bounced off again. They had just returned to their boat on a raft after completing a diversion for their friend Jake Gravision.

They had snuck on to the island the night before and set up a perimeter of explosives around some of the fencing. They had also hacked into the main security system setting it to have a sudden failure the following day. Everything had worked out and just before the left for their boat this afternoon they had set of the explosion and triggered the security breach.

If everything worked out as planned Jake would have enough time to get back to the Control Center and crash the entire system before anyone at the park realized what was going on. Stiller and Levine would be long gone as well by the time things were realized.

To help aid in Gravision’s escape Levine had dropped off a small motor raft at a designated area so that when Jake was finished he could leave the island…It was a well conceived plan and so far it was looking as though it would work.

Suddenly a sound emerged from the horizon that caught both men’s attention. It was the rythmatic pulsing of helicopter blades…Rick spun backwards and looked out towards the island…

“Shit!” he yelled “They’ve scrambled two choppers after us Levine. This isn’t going to be as easy a get away as we planned…”

Levine looked over his shoulder, still control the craft “Damn…” he said under his breath “Alright Rick, hold on tight. This is going to be a wild ride!”

With that he reached forward and pushed the throttle down to full and the boat seemed to explode from the water nearly throwing him backwards. Behind him he heard Rick hit the deck and roll. Yes, he thought, this was going to be one hell of an escape!

    **************************************************
    CHAPTER 3…

Jake Gravision slammed open the door to the Control Center and raised his weapon up to eye level. Across the room a man was typing lazily on a keyboard trying to restore the security system back to normal. He casually glanced over at Jake and then saw the weapon…

“Don’t move,” said Jake calmly “Get your ass out of the chair and move to the far wall…and make sure your hands are where I can see them!”

The man did as he was told, slowly making his way over to the wall. Suddenly he dropped to a knee and removed a gun from his holster. Jake was faster though and unloaded to rounds into the mans chest dropping him to the ground in agony.

Gravision would have at least made sure that the mans wound was covered to stop the bleeding but he knew he was running out of time. Soon the Control Center would be full of men looking for him…Quickly he ran to the central computer and worked like a mad man to make sure that things were completely shut down. The only thing he kept running was the main power.

All the gates and fences were down now leaving all the animals free to roam the park at will. Jake smiled, his plan was working…now he just had to erase all the records of the park, which would leave it completely helpless. Suddenly from behind Jake heard the cocking of a trigger, slowly he turned around to see Bruce Green holding a handgun.

“Somehow I knew it was all you…I shouldn’t have trusted you Jake, but I actually felt sorry for you…I cared about what happened to you…”

“All you care about is the success of InGen,” retorted Jake “Your worse then Hammond, you don’t give a damn about anything…just your pocketbook and how well you will be received by the press when your park opens to people around the world.”

Jake kept his gun at his side preparing for action, fortunately Green hadn’t seen the weapon. He took a step forward…

“Stop right there our I will shoot you,” said Bruce “I was trying to help you…Don’t you see! You could have been rich! Rich, powerful and famous…isn’t that what you wanted? Isn’t that why you have tried so hard to shut us down? The fame…”

Green smiled wickedly “You’re a hypocrite Jake your not doing this for your wife…Your doing it for yourself…You love the feel of power, just like me…we are similar Jake, I understand the way you think…”

Jake stepped closer again, this time slowly so that Green would not notice it, he was preparing for an attack, “No…you have know idea what I am like Bruce.”

Bruce’s smile turned into a frown, “Hm…I was going to give you a chance Jake but now I think I have to end this.”

Slowly he began to squeeze the trigger and Jake prepared to make his move. He was timing everything perfectly…it was only a matter of seconds…Suddenly Bruce was hit hard in the back of the head and dropped to the ground in pain before loosing consciousness.

Jake grabbed his weapon and pointed it at the shadowy figure that hit Green and waited. The figure stepped out of the shadows revealing himself. It was Thomas Gordon…

“Tom? What in the hell are you doing?”

He sighed “I re-thought my life on my way over here…and I realized how closely I can relate to you. I am sick of working for InGen Jake…”

Jake smiled “You coming with me?”

Gordon stared down at the lifeless body of Bruce Green and grinned “I don’ think I have much of a choice anymore.”

Jake chuckled “Alright…let me finish up with the security system…”

Levine turned the wheel hard left nearly flipping the boat at 70 mph. It landed hard throwing Rick back once more before it bit into the rough sea and straightened out. Just above them two choppers swooped in and fell on there tail. Immediately security personnel seated on the edge of the landing pads opened fire with automatic weapons.

Bullets ricocheted off the side of the boat and pounded into the water as Stiller clawed his way up to the front of the boat so that he was alongside Levine, “Damn it…see this ALWAYS happens when we try and help Jake out. The man is going to be the death of us Richard, I just know it…”

Levine turned hard right now nearly throwing Rick off the boat once again. This time though the bullets from the helicopter ripped through the port side railing and nearly hit Levine in the leg. He was rattled slightly but tried to keep his cool, the choppers were directly above him now.

He reached into a small compartment and retrieved a flare gun and tossed it at Rick who nearly missed it…

“Rick!” he shouted over the choppers roaring above and the crashing waves below, “When I say so I want you to fire that round into the side of the first chopper!” Rick nodded his head, “Alright…brace yourself!”

Out of the corner of his eye Levine could see Rick grabbing on to the starboard side railing. Then without notice Levine slammed on the ‘brake’ and cut the engines on the boat. He turned hard to port and boat came to a rough sliding stop across the waves. Above them the two helicopters soared past and then both turned sharply back in pursuit.

“Now!” he screamed to Stiller who was already steadying his arm in preparation for the shot.

Rick squeezed the trigger and a flare was sent spiraling at the nearest chopper, it flew into it through the sliding side door straight past the gunner who ducked for cover. Suddenly it exploded releasing sparks of light and smoke inside the cockpit…The pilot lost control and sent the helicopter in a downward spiral.

As this happened Levine re-fired the engines on the boat and began speeding off in the other direction…He looked back just in time to see the chopper crash into the sea as the men jumped out just before impact. Rick screamed in delight…

“Yahoo! Lets turn this baby around and head back out to sea!” he shouted. However the second copter was not going to quit its pursuit that easily. The pilot maneuvered it so that it was directly behind the boat as it tore its way back towards the island in an attempt to loose it…

Suddenly from the directly in front of the bow Levine heard the rumbling of another speed boat. Nearly a quarter mile directly in front of him a black boat speed its way to join the pursuit as the helicopter gunner once again opened fire…

“Damn it…not good!” shouted Levine, “Rick, get ready to dump the spare fuel tanks, we need this sweetheart to be a little lighter if we’re going to evade these guys!”

Rick clamored back towards the stern of the boat as he loaded another flare into the pistol and fired it at the copter that was now in hot pursuit. The flare richocheted off the cockpit bubble and bounced back onto the deck of the boat next to one of the fuel canisters…

“Shit!” Rick yelled as he attempted to shove the canister into the sea before it exploded. The speed boat that had caught up in the pursuit was now up against the side of the boat as Levine desperately tried to avoid it. The two boats slammed up against the sides of each other…and both rocked violently.

Rick grabbed the canister and tossed it over the side of the railing as hard as he could and it landed on the other boats deck just as they smashed into each other…the canister ripped open spilling gasoline everywhere.

Thinking quickly Rick grabbed at the still lit flare on the deck and tossed it overboard as well…it hit the deck of the other boat and flames erupted everywhere just before exploding entirely. The heat of the explosion threw both Stiller and Levine to there own deck and Levine lost control of the boat nearly flipping it…He leapt back up and grabbed the controls again…

Two enemies down…one to go…Levine looked back to see Stiller celebrating and then he saw that some of the debris from the exploding boat had damaged one the blade of the copter and that it was malfunctioning. The blades sputtered and then stopped completely as the helicopter began to tumble down on top of the boat.

Stiller shouted something inaudible as Levine boosted the speed to full power. The speed boat leapt forward just as the chopper came down and exploded in the water…Both men sighed and Stiller collapsed to the deck in exhaustion...

    **************************************************
    CHAPTER 4…

Jake and Thomas ran through the dense jungle as quickly as they could towards the designated location of the raft. Earlier in the week Jake had finished planning everything with Rick and Richard and hopefully they had done there part in hiding the raft in the right area. In the distance the two men could hear the shouting of security teams in search of Jake…it was entirely possible that they still didn’t know of Gordon’s involvement.

As they ran along through the foliage they could hear the chirping of birds, the moans of herbivores in the distance and the rustling of branches which was dangerously close. Jake knew that it was possible that some of the carnivorous dinosaurs had gotten loose, but he was hoping that by the time they explored there new freedom he would be out of the area.

About a hundred more yards ahead was where the raft should be, Gordon was closely along side Jake as they continued to sprint…finally they reached the designated area and just over a small bend leading to the ocean was the raft. It was perched on a wooden branch and hidden under some small camouflage. Jake moved forward to get it ready, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him.

He turned and looked at Thomas who was frozen in place, quietly and cautiously he waved his left hand in a movement suggesting that the two men should move closer too the ground, in the distance the shouting of the security team got louder and occasionally a helicopter would fly over the canopies above.

    “What is it Tom?”

Gordon refused to move, he continued to stare into some foliage up ahead, finally he spoke, “Over there…in the bushes…what do you see?”

Gravision glanced over and saw nothing, “Some dried up branches and vines…now lets get to the raft…” he started to stand but once again Thomas grabbed his shoulder, this time though he thrust him to the ground.

“Stop, there is something in those bushes…” he said quietly, “and I think I know what it is, we need to move back and try a less direct route to the raft. We’ll head back the way we can and sweep around the other side to get to it…”

Jake was confused, “But why? I don’t see a damned thing!”

“You can’t…but I helped create the monsters that are hunting us right now all those years ago…” he paused and saw that Jake still didn’t understand, “Velociraptors, Jake…they are hunting us…”

Jake gasped and reached for his weapon, he had lost his wife to one of the deadly creatures…he looked at Tom, “Alright, you see to know more about them then I do…you be the lead now…”

Gordon nodded and cautiously stood and started to make his way back in the direction they had come from, but something wasn’t right…he could sense it. High above a helicopter flew by once more looking for the two men. Suddenly a branch snapped in a nearby bush and Gordon knew it was too late…

“Run!” he shouted to Jake who was still in bewilderment.

At that moment a group of Velociraptors surrounded them in a circle but Thomas knew they had to make a break for it…he tore by the nearest Raptor with Jake on his heels and headed into the denser foliage. Behind him he could hear there shrieks as they joined in pursuit.

Up ahead was a small cliff that lead to a drop to the sea…he could go that way, the only way was to hug the perimeter of the cliff and make their way back towards the beach where the raft was waiting.

On they ran now still in pursuit, but the stealthy animals chasing them were too silent. Neither Jake nor Thomas knew exactly where they were at…Up ahead now was the raft where they had originally stopped but this time they wouldn’t do that. Gordon reached the raft and ripped the camouflage off it and hurtled it into the see, Jake was right behind him with his weapon drawn searching the foliage for the Raptors…while Thomas started the engine on the raft.

    “Come on!” he shouted.

Jake turned to run after him and just as he did a team of security personal burst out of the jungle, they raised there weapons but were instantly pounced on…not by Jake or Gordon…but by the Raptors still hiding in the bushes. There screams muffled by the sounds of tearing flesh and braking bones sent a chill down Jake’s spin. He holstered his weapon and jumped into the raft as Gordon led it out to sea.

Jake looked back once and saw the small group of Raptors finish off the remaining guards and then settled down to finish there well earned meal. One of them looked towards the escaping raft and hopped wildly shrieking, but soon turned its attention back to the raw flesh meal before it…

A few days later Thomas was sitting in Jake’s home drinking a glass of wine as he spoke with Jake’s friends, Richard Levine and Rick Stiller. They were re-telling there escape (for the third time) and there amusing dramatization had Gordon laughing. It was the first time in many years that he felt relaxed.

“…So I told Rick to hit the deck, but the idiot blew a fuel canister open and nearly blew us up!” Levine was saying.

“Oh shut up Levine, if it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t be standing here right now!” commented Stiller.

Jake Gravision who was sitting next to Thomas on a couch laughed and turned towards him, “So what are you going to do now that you’re a wanted man Tom?”

Gordon laughed and stood up, placing his glass on the table before him and began heading towards the door, “Well Jake, I have to be going…but to ease your curiosity…I am going to find Helena, I just hope she can forgive me after all these years. Don’t worry, I will keep in touch though.”

“You know Tom…thanks, you really helped me out and I appreciate it. Its unfortunate that InGen is still opening the park, but at least we let them know that we’re watching them. Thanks…”

Thomas turned back from the open door and stared hard at Jake… “No….thank you…” with that he turned and exited the house towards his car, never looking back.

Jake shut the door and turned back to see his friends smiling at them. Once again they had lost a battle with InGen, but this time it wasn’t a complete loss…but more of a setup for the finish of the war…

    Finale…

The crowd of press photographers grouped around Bruce Green as he cut a red ribbon which covered the doors to the visitors center of Jurassic Park. Bulbs flashed everywhere as Green smiled along side his aides and waved to the large crowd below him. All the major news networks were there to see the opening of the park and thousands of tourists were in line to be the first people in the world to vacation at Jurassic Park.

Cheers erupted from the people and he smiled…his dream had come true. Suddenly he flinched in pain and reached up towards his bandage that was placed on the back of his head. It still hurt from the blow he had received from Thomas Gordon…

He knew this should be a time of rejoicing but it wasn’t, his primary concerns were on what to do with Jake Gravision and Thomas Gordon…the two men had eluded his security personal, but they wouldn’t elude him for much longer…

Slowly he stepped up to the small podium that was set in front of the doors and prepared to give his opening speech, it wasn’t much of a speech, rather an opening comment, he waited until the crowd was hushed and then began…

“Ladies and Gentlemen…many years ago John Hammond, the founder of InGen, had a dream. This dream was to build the greatest live animal park in the world…” the crowd cheered, “…and now after several failed attempts to open this wonderful park, the dream has finally been reborn!” once more the crowd erupted in applause, “It is my great honor, ladies and gentlemen” he paused and stared deep into the eyes of the crowd before him, taking in the wonder of everything, “to welcome you…to Jurassic Park!”

At that same moment, in the distance, the bellow of a Tyrannosaur echoed throughout the canyons shaking the earth itself…a creature from 65 Million years previous had been reborn…along with a Nightmare of a Dream…
