Death Of An Island Chapter 3
    By Giant Wang

...We continue after the landing, everyone has there own agenda for the next day, and Bruce has hurt his leg extremely bad...what is going to happen?
    Dilbeck (cont.)

    Clark! Oh Clark! Come here!

    Clark

( Running In )...Yes Mr. Dilbeck.

    Dilbeck

Get the first aid kit please.

Clark gives a nod and runs to the cockpit door. Dilbeck tears off the pant leg that was covered in blood and puts it aside. Then Nick walks in with some ammo.

    Nick

Mr. Dilbeck, you should get rid of that...

    Dilbeck

    Why Mr. Van Owen?

    Nick

Dinosaurs know the scent of blood, we don't need that.

    Dilbeck

    Alright, no problem.

Nick drops what is in his hand and runs back outside. Dilbeck then goes to the stairway and throws the pant leg to the side of the plane.

    Dilbeck ( cont. )

    ...That's better.

He goes back inside where Clark stands with the first aid kit.

    Enter Night In Plane

Roger and Nick are up, everyone else is sleeping quietly on the benches.

    Roger

Nick, tomorrow is a big day.

    Nick

    Yeah I know.

    Roger

...Before, when you were acting strange while we were landing. Who was that friend, the one you remembered what he said?

    Nick

Malcolm, when we were on the island together...he said something when we arrived that as of then I remembered.

    Roger

Ian? Ian Malcolm? The man who told all those stories to the press about the island?

    Nick

    Yeah, that was him.

    Roger

    Oh...

The two all of a sudden become quiet, and Nick closes his eyes preparing for the long day.

    Enter Morning In SUV

Roger, Nick, and Clark are exploring in the SUV

    Nick

Alright, park it up on the high ridge then we can see when the helicopters are coming.

Clark who is driving does as Nick says.

    Roger

    What time is it?

    Clark

It's 7 am, they should be here within the next few hours.

    Nick

    Yeah, true...we should wait here.

    Roger

Hopefully they won't spot us, then we would have to abort.

    Nick

No, I don't think they would be able to spot us.

    Clark

No, me niether the colors blend with the background here.

    Roger

Alright, I was just making sure.

    Nick

Yep, yep this spot will suit us fine, we'll be able to see them.

    Enter Plane

Bruce, Dilbeck and Sue sit down on the benches.

    Bruce

Mr. Dilbeck, I can't move my leg at all.

    Dilbeck

Well, you did bust your knee open.

    Bruce

But now there is no pain, there is nothing.

    Dilbeck

    As I said...Shit happens.

    Bruce

Why you rich bastard, you only care for yourself.

    Dilbeck

I put that cast on you yesterday, you should thank me.

Bruce shakes his head, and looks to Sue. Sue acknowledges his pain but as soon as she does the plane shakes.

    Sue

    What the hell was that?

They all rush to the windows, but there is nothing. Bruce limps to the other side and Dilbeck follows. But as soon as they do an eye looks into Sues window. The huge eye looks around, and moves away. The plane shakes each step the huge animal takes.

    Sue

    Gu-gu-guys, there is a uhh...dinosaur here.

They head to Sue's side of the plane, but as soon as they get there an eye appears on the opposite side.

    Bruce

    Where...where did it go?

    Sue

It was just here, and it walked away.

Then there is a loud roar, they all turn at once to see the eye in the window. The pupil moves around, then another roar is heard. Dilbeck picks up a gun and he plays with it for a moment. Then just as he is about to pull the trigger it moves away again.

    Dilbeck

What in the bloody hell is it doing?

    Sue

It smells blood, did you listen to Nick?

    Dilbeck

    Listen to Nick when?

    Sue

Yesterday, when he told you to get rid of the pant leg with blood on it.

    Dilbeck

    I through it outside.

    Sue

    Where outside?

    Dilbeck

Outside of the plane, outside over towards the...

    Sue

Near the plane? That's why it's here...everyone is right you are a dumbass.

Dilbeck looks down in shock, he drops the gun he is holding.

    Sue ( cont. )

We are getting out of here.

Sue picks up a gun, then Dilbeck picks up another one. They turn to Bruce.

    Sue ( cont. )

    ...Can you run?

    Bruce

I can sure as hell try.

They nod three times and then open the door and run, Sue followed by Dilbeck. Then from behind the plane a Tyrannosaurus appears and walks around the front of the plane. Just as it does Bruce appears in the doorway, he makes it down the first few steps but trips on the final step. Bruce's leg starts to bleed again, as he crawls. The Rex walks past him quickly after Dilbeck and Sue, but then stops to sniff the air. His head turns and sees Bruce crawling desperatly, Sue and Dilbeck watch. The Rex walks at a fast pace over towards Bruce, Sue runs behind the Rex. Then the Rex gets up behind Bruce and sniffs him. Sue runs over and is about to pull Bruce to his feet when the Rex suddenly steps on Bruce's legs. Sue then runs back to Dilbeck as he runs into the woods. The Rex then lifts up Bruce's body and swings it while chomping down and gives out a mighty roar. It sniffs the air once more and heads into the woods.

Enter the SUV on the hill

Clark is sleeping in the front seat while Roger and Nick sit and talk.

    Roger

...So that's what happened last time? That's how you got stranded here?

    Nick

Yeah it was mostly my fault, I ruined everything.

    Roger

    I'm sure you didn't...

    Nick

Yeah I believe it was all my fault always have.

    Roger

Then why? Why come back to InGen for a job?

    Nick

I really moved away from photography, and then I barely had any money. I knew I could get in easily because of how I was on the island.

    Roger

Oh, so your not really that rich.

    Nick

( Looks down for a second )...Yeah.

Then there is a loud sound, it's the helicopters. Two of them flew far out, but close enough to see.

    Nick ( cont. )

There they are ( pointing ).

    Roger

    Alright watch where they land.

    Nick

( Pulls out binoculars )...K, I'm watching them now.

    Roger

    Clark!

Clark wakes up and turns to the back where Roger sits.

    Clark

    What?

    Roger

    The helicopters have arrived.

    Nick

    Yeah, straight ahead.

They all watch as they fly over the island, then Clark starts the truck and then drives off towards the landing spot.

    Roger

    What are you doing?

    Clark

Moving in so we can see better, we won't get to close.

    Nick

    Yeah, good...these binoculars suck.

Roger grins as the truck drvies through the green forest.

    ...To Be Continued...Yes Again...
