Death Of An Island Chapter 2

Roger
There it is...
Nick
Just as I remembered.
Bruce
That is one big island...
Nick
Yeah full of big animals...
Dilbeck
Yeah and when we get there we will be giving them another one with a big ego...
Nick
What was that? Refering to me?
Dilbeck
No, no of course not.
Roger
Hey, shut the hell up...I feel like I'm frigging baby sitting.
Nick
Yeah, yeah he started it.
Dilbeck and Nick exchange looks. The plane starts flying over Isla Sorna.
Clark
Where are the dinosaurs?
Nick
I see a few towards the valley over there.
Nick points out towards a valley in the distance.
Clark
Oh, yes I see them.
Bruce
This is great, I never thought I would ever see this stuff.
Nick
Yeah, Ian was right...in the beginning it's great...but then everything goes wrong. We shouldn't be here, we shouldn't do this.
Roger
What?
Nick
Bruce just reminded me of something an old friend said.
Roger
But it's too late, we're here.
Nick
( Looking back out the window )...But, Oh shit.
Dilbeck
Second thoughts...it's a little late.
Roger
Stop starting trouble.
Then the wheels come from the bottom of the plane and a runway could be seen.
Bruce
We're landing.
Roger
Nick, are you going to be ok?
Nick
Yeah, yeah I just feel a bit sick. But don't worry I'll be ok...but you have to promise we are all going to stay together.
Roger
I promise, don't worry.
Then the plane is lowering and the wheels touch the ground and everyone bounces around on the plane. Then the plane starts to slide down the runway.
Clark
Ok, we are slowing down now.
The plane comes to a complete stop in the middle of the runway. Nick jumps up and runs outside, he throws up in the dirt on the side of the runway. Everyone follows him. Then after all of the men, out comes a woman, she is the pilot of the plane.
Dilbeck
Everything ok Sue?
Sue
Yeah the landing went farely well except for a bump in the beginning. I see someone had a little problem with the landing.
She looks over to Nick who is still bending over.
Roger
No he was a little sick while we were still in the air.
Sue
Oh, alright.
Dilbeck
Well what do you say we make camp?
Roger
Yeah we should make it right here near the plane.
Dilbeck
Yeah, we should because if something happens we just hop on the plane and go.
Clark
Let me get our gear. Sue lower the deck of the plane so we can drive the trucks out.
Sue
You got it.
Bruce
I'll get the fire power, set up some guns around the perimeter.
Nick
Yeah, we may not have enough fire power.
Bruce
Are you kidding, I've got some amazing machine guns in there.
Nick
Don't you guys know what your dealing with?
Bruce
Yeah animals, big animals.
Nick
Yeah, but that's not going to kill a dinosaur.
Dilbeck
Remember, we don't want to kill the dinosaurs that is why we're here.
Nick
You expect to scare them away?
Dilbeck
Why yes. After a few shots they will leave us alone.
Nick
Yeah and after eating a few of us.
Roger
Calm, calm down.
Nick
No, no because he is going to get us all killed.
Dilbeck
( Ignoring him )...Clark, get out the jeep I want to explore.
Nick
( Silently to Roger )...He is going to kill us, I'm having uhh...bad memories.
Roger
He isn't going to get us killed,if anyone he is going to get himself killed.
Nick
What about those shitty guns he brought?
Roger
Listen, if all else fails we can escape, we have the plane.
Nick
Yeah...( To Dilbeck, loud )..you'll get yours buddy! You'll get yours!
Dilbeck
( Turns and walks into plane, to Bruce standing on the stairway into the plane)...What an immature idiot.
Bruce nods, and walks inside with Dilbeck. Then the back part of the plan lowers and a SUV pulls out followed by a jeep driven by Sue.
Roger
This will all work out fine and we will be out of here in no time.
Nick
Hopefully your right.
Bruce then runs out with tons of ammunition and weaponry. He runs past Nick and into an open field but then he falls and disappears.
Roger
Bruce!?!
Nick and Roger scream his name and run into the field. They come across Bruce laying there.
Nick
Are you ok Bruce?
Bruce
No, I busted my knee...I've got blood all over my pants.
Blood drips from his left knee.
Nick
Do you think you can walk back to the plane?
Bruce
No, it hurts to much.
Nick
What did you trip on?
Bruce
That rock back there, and I landed on that stump.
Nick looks around and sees the stump is covered in blood.
Nick
Let me see your leg...( Nick grabs his leg and rips off his own vest...he wraps it around Bruce's knee )...there now grab my shoulder.
Roger
Mine too, we will walk you back to the plane.
Bruce does what he is told and they help him limp step by step.
Roger ( cont. )
Where you bringing all that ammo?
Bruce
To set up a perimeter with some machine guns...make sure everything was safe.
Nick
Nothing is safe here, nothing on this island.
They help Bruce up the stairs of the plane and lay him on a padded bench. Dilbeck sits across from him.
Dilbeck
What in the blue hell happened?
Nick
He tripped and busted his knee wide open.
Dilbeck
Shit.
Nick
Maybe you should watch your investments, no wonder they are shutting you down.
Dilbeck
You know what? Shut the hell up before I use you as bait.
Nick doesn't give him a stare, him and Roger walk out of the plane and go towards where Bruce fell to pick up the stuff he had dropped when he fell.
