Cold-Blood ch2

~~~Colonel Bill Ritch paced throughout his office pondering over what to do. He sent five of his best men to Isla Sorna, and lost radio contact 48 hours ago. He couldn't very well just send another team. He was very angry, his recon team failed to give him any information on the layout of the Island. As far as he was concerned, all hope was lost.
~~~Bill's intercom buzzed, startling him. "Colonel," his secretary's voice came over the radio, "The head of InGen is on line one, sir." Bill stared for a minute, not sure of what to do. "Okay," he said, "I'll get it in here." He picked up the phone and pressed the button for line 1, "What is it?" he asked, visibly upset. The person on the other end hesitated a minute and said, "I hear you went against my pleading and sent a recon team to my Island. Now what did we discuss? Legal action may be in-" "I dont give a damn about your thoughts!" Bill yelled at the man, "And to hell with your legal actions, I should file legal actions against you for making the name of our country bad and for endangering the lives of American citizens! Now that Island is in need of military attention, and the Costa Rican government has requested we clean up your mess. Not our mess, your mess! Now you'd better stop calling you english prick!" Bill slammed the receiver down.

~~~Richard didn't know what to do, he sat curled up inside a cage waiting for the raptors to lose interest and go somewhere else. His legs were numb and stiff from being cramped up, and he hadn't eaten or slept in two days. "Christ," he thought, "Where is the rest of the team? And where is my radio?" There was a loud noise as one of the Raptors jumped onto the cage he was in, and the bars began to bend under the strenuous weight.

~~~Bill sat behind his desk and scrolled through his rolodex, searching for a specific name. "Ah, there it is," he said. The card had the name of Roland Tembo printed on it. He knew Roland wouldn't except, so he had to make him an offer he couldn't refuse.
