    Ingen: Ice Age
    By DarthRex

Ok...get this for JP4...or any other JP movie in the future. I think the way that I've explained it...it could work...here goes...

    "Ingen: Ice Age"
There's more to the chill down your spine than the weather...Something bad is going to happen...Again...

Perhaps Ingen (or Biosyn) found an area covered in ice, which was filled with certain life forms from the Ice Age era... Then they dug 'em up thawed the corpses out and used Mammalian DNA to fill in the original sequence caps... That's where they would come from. After all, without the animals being made by man, it loses the Jurassic “Park” feel. It wouldn't necessarily have to be an Ice Age that covers the whole globe... It could be possible that the area they are keeping the animals is a particularly cold place... a fictional island near Greenland perhaps... Then the plot could go something like...

The main characters are a research party of 7, sent to explain something about the life forms of the island. Only on arrival their transportation to the area is destroyed in an accident; the pilot is killed. Then they must escape the "plateau" they are on by trekking through the wilderness up and down the sides of mountains through the snow tundra and woodlands because they know of another research team (also 7 people) on the other side of the island... But what they don't realize is that the "ANIMALS" kept at an Ingen research base have escaped, killing the skeleton crew that was keeping the facility running for the weekend, and are now free to roam around in the wilderness.

Eventually, through trial and tribulation, they get to the other side of the island (after several encounters with beasts unknown to them at the time… including wooly rhinos, mammoths, brontoteries, giant bears, megaloceros (giant deer), and diatrymas (giant ostrich like birds) …) only to realize that the other plane has been destroyed after landing and THAT research party is missing except for one or two that are dead. They begin to lose hope but one of them sees smoke in the distance... it appears to be a village of some sort...it's the Research Facility! They run to it to find every one gone and that there is no communication to be had in the facility. "Why wouldn't they have any contact with the outside?” One of them says... "This was supposed to be a secret... we're not supposed to be here...” our hero states. "

Well, no $#*@!" we think as they proceed to be killed and chased within the compound by a pack of excessively larger than usual wolves which have been following them with out notice since their arrival ... They find one survivor that is badly injured and most of the other people die... They seem to have beaten the wolves after trapping several wolves in a building and setting fire to it. Instead, the other wolves help them out of the building as it continues to burn. The crew realizes there is a dock on a river that will lead them to the ocean and off of the island... they use the small cargo ship, but the wolves are even more persistent now, after losing some of their pack to heavy artillery... The wolves (which are extremely smart build a dam-like structure on the river in front of the boat and the boat crashes. It isn’t damaged, but it is stopped long enough to drag off the girl of our story (which by no coincidence is in love with our hero and visa versa).

The hero tracks the wolves back to their little camp like area along with a few of the main characters (the others stayed back to take the dam apart so the boat could get through). The wolves living area is in a steep valley that can be over looked when a top the cliff-side. They have several caves one which has a shoe by it. They decide to wait until day when they sleep (I think, correct me if I’m wrong…wolves are nocturnal right?) and decide to infiltrate with what ammo they have left, which are 2 shotguns a 9mm pistol and a grenade. They wait, but then they hear a large commotion.

They look down and see the Wolves in trouble; a Saber tooth cat is attacking them. Now is the time… they go down behind start blasting away. They get to the cave with the shoe by it and go in. The wolves are distracted for long enough for them to find the girl. They get outside and there are no wolves around. Then a body of a wolf falls from one of the caves above in the cliff side… It’s the Saber tooth! They blast away at him but he seems unharmed. One of them is attacked and tells them to run… he’s killed.

They run to the boat just as the rest of the group finishes getting the debris from in front of the boat (perfect timing as usual). They start the motors up and speed down the river. The Cat runs through the forest to catch up. The boat turns a corner and they travel down a cliff valley.

The valley walls are caked with ice and snow combined with large lose boulders. As the walls seem to get closer to the sides of the boat, the motors begin to make the snow vibrate. Chunks of rock and Ice begin to fall. They stop the engines quickly. They will let the current carry them the rest of the way. They see the ocean now, but the hull begins to scrape the river bottom… they’ve entered water that is too shallow for the boat to pass through. Some get out and try to push the boat, but it seems impossible. They look behind them to see the giant cat jump from the cliff side into the shallow water. He easily stands up and glares at them. Our hero stares back, as they both stand there motionless. The water reaches our hero’s waist. The others struggle to push the boat with no success. “Get in the boat!” our hero yells. He grabs the shotgun and begins to shoot at the charging monster. The noise sets off a chain reaction as large boulders begin to fall narrowly missing the boat and the charging cat. He runs out of ammo in the shotgun and remembers he has the grenade. He throws it wildly. His heart sinks as a branch about 20 ft. out, 30 ft. in the air catches it. He closes his eyes accepting his fate. The grenade explodes sending rocks everywhere. It knocks all but our hero to the deck of the boat. The Cat pounces… less than 5 feet away from our hero… the cat is suddenly crushed by a falling boulder. It hits the water with such force that it raises the water at the back of the boat. The boat continues to float rapidly down the river as the cliffs continue to collapse behind them.

They start the motors and speed as swiftly as possible. Water begins to rush faster, then they see it… a wall of water speeding through the valley straight for them. They are consumed as the water throws the boat forward.

Our hero opens his eyes up among all the rest of the survivors, which lay on the deck along side him. He stands up and looks back. The island… He stares, amazed. Then the girl walks up beside him. They look at each other. They take each other’s hands in their own. They look back as we see the rest of the crew walk up behind to admire the sight. The island… The island…
