JP finished principle photography in 70 days, 12 days ahead of schedule. Considering Hurricane Ikiki swept through Kauai during the shoot and all but destroyed the sets, that's not too bad. (From: Dan J.)

Jurassic Park: Tales Of Evolution Book IV Denial

    ----***Prolouge***----

Nothing had come between them. Helena and Thomas were the dream couple, bound together by there love for each other. But sadness has draped over them, for Thomas has died. And now, Helena is crushed. And John Hammond is still in denial of the parks security. But now he an idea that he thinks will change the park. Hiring Robert Mullion to replace Thomas.

A cold bitter wind swept off the sea and through the hills of a small New England town.

Helena Robertson, stood crying, dressed in black, in front of Thomas Gordon's newly carved grave.

"Thomas, I just want you to know," She got choked up, and paused for a second.

"I just want you to know.....I love you, I always have," She placed a red rose on top of the grave. And walked away with the wind blowing in her silky blonde hair.

John Hammond sat in his office staring out the window, in awe of what he had created.

"John, I cant just get the man to come over and be are game warden. This man is a professional, and he is going to want a list of animals, a contract, and many other things," Ben Paterno was in yet another argument with John.

John still staring out the window, when he calmly said to Ben,
"You don't understand the importance of opening this park. I am up to here with the problems of this park, AND THIS TERRORIST ATTACK IS NOT HELPING BUSSINESS!...Not to mention the death of Thomas Gordon. And the Spinosaurus not getting to Nublar, because of the damned hurricane."

"Oh bullshit John, the entire park knows of your ignorance. The security of this park is-" Ben was cutoff by John.

"Ben, I swear to God, if I have to sir and hear you go through another one of your rambles; I will make sure that you cant work at McDonalds, let alone Jurassic Park," John still in a calm voice, staring out the window.

At this moment Ben was so mad that he thought he was going to explode. He had been in so many arguments with John already. He just wished that for once in his life, John would turn off his blinders and see what was going on.

"John, OPEN YOUR EYES! There is no way that Gennaro would give the OK for this park. The security is pathetic!"

"Ben, I'm not feeling to good today, and I don't feel like wasting another breath arguing with you. So lets just move along and continue with what we were saying." John said. Still with a calm voice, staring out the window.

    Ben huffed.

"All right.......I can tell you right now, Robert Muldoon will not take this job."

John finally swung his leather chair around and looked at Ben.
"You will get him here in two weeks, AND you'll have Helena back on Isla Sorna, she has taken a long enough vacation,"

"She is taking the vacation to go to Thomas Gordon's funeral."

"Why the hell would she do that? I knew they liked each other, but not that much." John said puzzled. He had never known Helena was that close with Gordon.

"John, everybody in the God damn park knew they were together, your so fucking blind you cant see what's right in front of you!" Ben said, almost disgusted with John.

"I'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING RIGHT NOW, IF I HEAR SOMETHING LIKE THAT OUT OF YOU AGAIN, YOU WILL BE LIVING IN A CARDBOARD BOX IN NEW YORK!" Johns head looked like it was going to explode. He felt foolish, and a jackass to boot.

Ben trying to hold back his burst of anger, walked out of the room and slammed the door.

    ----***Chapter I***----- Bye-bye Ben.
    Two weeks later.

"Mr. Hammond is prepared to give anything you want, we have to have you at Jurassic Park Mr. Muldoon." Robert and Ben were both sitting at a cheap bar just outside Kenya.

"Mr. Paterno, Im still not quite sure about all this. What kind of weapons will I be able to work with?" Muldoon didn't want this job, but he knew with all of his financial problems that he needed the money.

"Top of the line, you name a weapon and are weapon specialist Mr. Erickson can get it." Ben said with a smile.

"I.....Just don't know......" Robert said. As he slung back another shot of bourbon.

"Mr. Muldoon, I will not rest until you are our game warden at Jurassic Park." Ben wiped the sweat off his forehead.

Muldoon put on his hat, stood up, put his hat on, and said.
"Mr. Paterno, im sorry but I cant take the job. Thank you for the offer." Robert walked out of the bar and to his car. But Ben came running from behind.

"Mr. Muldoon, Mr. Hammond and I, don't take no for an answer, we have to have you at Jurassic Park." He said, standing at the door of Muldoons car, as he closed the door.

    Muldoon rolled down the window.
"I wont take the job unless I see the park first." He said with an almost annoyed voice.

    Ben started to smile.
"I'll book us both a flight for Wednesday."

Muldoon rolled up the window and drove away, leaving Ben standing in the dirt parking lot with his suite and a briefcase.

    "Hello?" A soft voice answered.

"Helena, it's Ben." Ben said, with a stern voice.

"Oh hello Ben." Helena said with pleasure.

"What can I do for you?" Helena asked.

"John wants you back at the park." Ben said with glee.

    "Ben...It's to soon....I just-"

"He said if you weren't back in a week he'd fire you." Ben said, who disagreed with John, but that wasn't very strange.

Helena didn't say anything, she just kinda of sighed.

"That stupid son of a bitch. That man is more evil than Satan." She said.

"Look, he had no clue about you and Thomas, the man is clueless." Ben was laying in his bed, in a five star hotel in Kenya.

"I have caller ID. What are you doing in Kenya?"

"I'm trying to get our new game warden." Ben said softly, he knew that he might upset Helena. Telling her that he was finding the man to replace her boyfriend.

"Who might that be?" Helena asked.

"You've probably never heard of him but, Robert Muldoon." He said.

"Your right, never heard of him."

    They both laughed.

"It sure does feel good to do that again." Helena said, who was walking around her New England home.

"Yeah." Ben said with a deep breath.

"Do you want me to book you a flight for later this week? Because im gona need your help showing the park to muldoon." Ben asked. He had always had a crush on Helena. Never outwardly though.

Helena took in a deep breath.

"Yes, I guess so. But when I get to Sorna im gona give that old bastard a piece of my mind."

"I think we should do that together."

"Listen John, I don't think this Muldoon guy is right for the job. The guy seems like a drunk." Ben was in another arguement with John about Muldoon being the right guy for the job.

"Nobody gives a damn what you think Paterno. Your oppinoin means absolutely nothing to me. IN FACT, IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT SON OF A BITCH ON THIS ISLAND BY MONDAY, YOUR FIRED!" John slammed the phone on the hook.

Ben had looked at Muldoons file, great record. But he had been arrested many times for drunk driving, and almost anything you could think of that had to do with booze. But of course, Hammond blind as a bat, dosn't see the whole picture. he thought.

And tomorrow is when he and "the drunk," was a nickname that Ben gave him. Were gona board the airplane that took them to Costa Rica, then Nublar, and he knew, that if he didn't get Muldoon working for Jurassic Park, it was bye-bye Ben.

    ------***Chapter II***----- The Bitch

Ben was waiting as patiently as he could for Muldoon to come out of his dirty apartment. He had been waiting for at least 30 minutes, and was about two minutes from bursting his door down and giving him a piece of his mind.

Finaly Muldoon stumbled out of his apartment.

"My god," Ben said to himself.

"The GUY IS DRUNK!" Ben leaned his head back and sighed.

Muldoon stumbled down the stairs, rubbing his head as if he had a headache. He got to Bens rented Suburban, opened the door and said.

"Why the bloody hell would you want one of these pieces of shit?" He asked in a drunk slurl.

"Well, Mr. Muldoon, I can see your drunk so I'm not even going to answer that question," Ben said as he pulled out of the apartment complex.

"Now you listen hear, you american piece of," But before Muldoon could finish his sentance, he passed out.

Ben shook his head and laughed. "And this is our new game warden for Jurassic Park," Boy, I can feel our security getting better already.

Ben knew Jurassic Park was going nowhere. So many problems in the first two years of the park, he was still suprised that Hammond was still alive.

"Sir.....Sir," a Stuertis was trying to wake Ben up for dinner.

His eyes opened slowly, his retnas feeling they were being pearced by the light, he looked at the women, then Muldoon. Who was still asleep. He had thrown water on Muldoon to wake him up when they got to the airport. Once they got in the plane, Muldoon ploped into his chair and went to sleep.

    He started to shake Muldoon.

"Robert wake up.....Robert wake up," He said.

    Muldoon wasn't budging.

"Sir, would you like the fish, or the steak?" The woman asked.

    Ben rubbed his eyes.

    "I'll have the......Steak,"

"Ok one steak comin-" The woman was cut off.

"Give me the same." Muldoon said, who looked fully awake.

"What in god's good name is your problem?" Ben asked.

"What? I havn't done anything." Muldoon was confused.

"Yes, you havn't done anything.....EXCEPT FOR PUKEING ALL OVER MY CAR!" Ben screamed.

"Sir, im gona have to ask you not to yell." The woman.

"THATS NOT MY BLOODY PROBLEM." Muldoon yelled right back.

People started to wake up in there chairs.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT YOUR PROBLEM? YOU PUKED IN MY FUCKING CAR!" Ben was so angry. He almost punched Muldoon.

"Sir, please stop yelling or I'll have to get the pilot." The woman said in a stern voice.

Muldoon just turned away from Ben and staired out the window. With an overwhelming feel of stupidity and shame.

"Helena, I heard about you and Thomas, and I'm sorry, I truly am. But a raise is out of the question," John was trying to tell Helena that the expenses of the park were alot, and they were climbing. So he was trying to explain that a raise was never gona happen.

"John, I love working for you," She crossed her fingers behind her back. "But I cant work for this much money under these conditions. And I am having serious financial problems."

"I am not going to get in a financial debate, I really will not. I'm sorry for your problems, but they are your problems," John said with his hands crossed over the desk.

"GOD, you are so difficult," Helena got out of chair and started to walk out the door.

"Thats right you bitch, and I'll be as difficult as I want," John said, trying to say it before she got out of the room.

Helena opened the door and turned around. "You dont give me that raise in one month, and I'm quiting."

She slammed the door and walked back to her office, on the west wing of the compound.

    ----***Chapter III***---- The Helicopter Ride

"We take helicopter from here," Ben said to Robert, while trying to get a taxi in front of the Costa Rican airport.

It was now 7:30 in the morning, Ben and Robert were both almost arrested for there actions on the plane. But Ben made sure that wasn't going to happen.

Ben finally got them a taxi, and they headed to the chopper.

"Mr. Erickson, Robert Muldoon is going to be here in five hours. If your not ready I will have I'm going to fire you."

Trevor Erickson was the Jurassic Park weapons specialist. Which meant, if sombody in security needed a gun, Trevor Erickson made sure they got what they wanted. He was also going to be Muldoon's partner.

"Trust me Mr. Hammond, he will be in hunter heaven," Trevor said, while pointing out boxes to the spanish workers. The boxes had AMMO written out on the side in red.

    "He better be."

"And Mr. Hammond, I just wanted to say how great this park is becoming, and what a great job your doing," He knew, he had just sunken to a new low.

"Why thank you very much Mr. Erickson," Hammond said with a smile.

But if kissing Hammonds ass got him more money, Trevor would have given John a foot masage.

"Were about 50 miles from Sorna, Senior Paterno," said the Helicopter Pilot.

Ben was sitting across from Muldoon, with a brown briefcase.

"Good, Julio, were making good time," Paterno said.

"So, Mr. Muldoon, im going to brief you on what we will be doing this afternoon," Ben said with a smile.
"First, were going to give a tour of the facilitys on Nublar. You will meet Ray Arnold, are park computer specialist. And John Wu, who has created all of the dinosaurs."

Muldoon rubbed his chin. "Good, but when will I meet John, and this Erickson fellow?" Muldoon said, with his Australian, yet New Zealand like accent.

"That will be tomorrow, when we travel to Isla Sorna," Ben said, while shoving papers into his briefcase.

    "Alright, sounds good," He said.

Muldoon slowly turned to the side window. He looked out and saw a flock of Birds. Moving in what looked like a flying v. As he saw it, he couldn't help but smile.

The Helicopter swooped swiftly passed a cliff, deep inside the gorges of Isla Sorna.

"200 yards from heli-pad, Mr. Paterno," The Pilot said.

Ben didn't bother to answer, he was too busy holding down the vomit that was slowly creeping its way up his throat.

He had always hated these Helicopter rides, especially when they got to this part, when the Helicopter would move downwards toward the heli-pad. The Helicopter would shake up and down, he would have to hold his briefcase and put on his seat bealt. But the thing he hated the most, was that every single time he took this ride, he puked at the end. And he really couldn't affored to puke now. Because, it was already 11:00, and he still had to show the whole park to Muldoon.

"Feeling a little sick, aren't we Mr. Paterno," Muldoon said with a smile.

    Ben looked at his watch.
"Yeah, I get sick every time I take this ride," He said with a low voice. Trying not to irritate his stomache.

"I have a question to ask you, but I'll ask you once we get down," Muldoon turned his head and looked out the window.

    "Thanks," Ben replied.

Ben had his head in the trash can, puking up the pancakes he had earlier in the morning.

"ARE YOU ALRIGHT MR. PATERNO?!" Muldoon yelled from the Jeep.

Ben didn't respond, he just put his hand in the air and waved it.

Finally, he took his head out of the trash can, adjusted his tie. And walked down the dirt path, to the Jeep.

---***Chapter IV***--- Welcome To Jurassic Park

"Welcome to Jurassic Park Mr. Muldoon," Ben said, as he handed him a map from the front seat.

"The Jeep tour is not completely finished, it goes as far the T-rex paddoc, and were still not sure that you can take that. Because there is a hurricane moving in from the south," Ben explained.

Muldoon sat in the back seat, looking at the map, while bouncing up and down uncontrolably.

"What would you like to do first?" Ben asked.

"Considering the jeep tour is not finished, I'd like to take a look at the labs. And some of the people I might be working with," Muldoon said.

"Ok, I'll give you the general tour, except we'll skip the tour. And I'll just show you the jeeps for the tour," Ben said.

"Sounds good," Muldoon said, who was trying to buckle his seatbelt.

    ---***Chapter V***--- Co-Workers

"This will be our main lobby. This is where the guests will come in, and really get a feel for what were all about," Ben explained to Robert.

They had just started the tour. Ben opened a large door, and they entered a huge room. The room had beautiful tile floors, and ahead of them was a group of men, that seemed to be putting some kind of skeleton.

"Now if you will just follow me," Ben said, "We can see the labs," He said while walking up a large group of stairs.

Muldoon and Ben walked through a white room. There were around a dozen men working on computers, and writing things down. Muldoon started looking around, like a small child. He had never been so fasinated.

"So this is how you make Dinosaurs?" Muldoon asked.

"It sure is, you'll never see anything in the world like this," Ben said.

Muldoon looked ahead and saw Ben talking with an asian fellow. Ben looked at Muldoon.

"Robert, come here and meet John Wu, the man that makes dinosaurs," Ben said with a smile. And John started to laugh.

Muldoon walked over with a smile.

"Hello," Muldoon said, while putting his hand out to shake.

"Hi, im sorry I cant really shake your hand now," John said, as he put up his hands that had gloves on them. "I have to keep my hands away from any kind of germs. No offense," He said.

"Oh, none taken," Robert felt foolish.

"Well, Mr. Muldoon, what would you like to know?" Wu asked.

"Ben told me earlier the whole process. But one question I didn't aske him was, how do you stop the animals from breeding?" Muldoon asked cruiously.

"Well, it's a very complicated process. The animals have a certain gene that makes them male, we simply take it away." Wu explained, while writing down notes on a piece of paper.

"Ok, do you mind if I take a look around?" Muldoon asked

Ben took a look at his watch.
"Yes, but we don't have much time," Ben said.

Muldoon walked slowly through the cold room. It was like a bee hive, everyone was buzzing around like little bees. He walked up to one of the glass bins. A chart was laying next to the bin. He picked it up and stared into the bin.

The chart said "Velociraptor," he stared at the dozen's of eggs. He was so amazed, his mouth dropped, revealing his bad breath, he'd forgotton to brush. He quickly snapped it shut, trying to rid of any embarasment.

He slowly moved his hand forward, to try and pick up one of the eggs. His hand was just about to touch the egg, when one of the scientists walked over to him.

Sir, please don't touch the eggs," He said with a blank but cautious stare.

Muldoons hand came back to his body, like a bullet out of a gun.

    "Sorry," He said.

"MULDOON!" Ben yelled across the room, "C'MON, WE GOTTA GET TO THE SECURITY OFFICE!"

Muldoon looked over at Ben, who was waving his hands in the air. The Hunter walked between the different bins, all with different names, and different sized eggs.

Muldoon caught up to Ben. Ben reached into his back pocket and brought out a security card. He walked up to a door that said:

    AUTHORIZED PERSONEL ONLY!

In red and yellow. Ben swiped the card, in a lock similar to those found in hotels. The red light on the lock turned green, Ben swung the big metal door open, and they walked through.

The door opened to a long hallway. They walked down it and came to another door, it also said:

    AUTHORIZED PERSONEL ONLY!
    NO TRESPASSING!

Ben did the same routine, and they walked into a slightly dark room. It had dozens and dozens of computers, all facing a large TV.

One of the men working on a computer, got up and started to walk towards them.

The man came up with a big smile.

"John Arnold, nice to meet you Mr. Muldoon," Arnold brought his hand out to shake.

The real Arnold wasn't quite what Muldoon was expecting. When he imagined Ray Arnold, he was thinking a skinny white man. But this man was way different. His skin was black, and he was very ripped. He was also wearing a lab coat, and a cheap cigarette hung from his mouth.

Muldoon reached out and shook his hand.
"Those things will kill you," Muldoon said, while pointing at the cig.

Arnold took the butt out of his mouth,
"Yeah I know. I've been trying to quit, but just too much stress," Arnold said. He gave a look though, that almost seemed like he didn't mean to say that.

"Anyway, let me tell you how this works," Arnold said, while turning around and heading back to the computer.

Ben and Muldoon followed behind him.

Arnold sat down in his chair.

"We have over 300,000 security cameras in Jurassic Park," He explained. "Now, do you see that screen up there?" Arnold said, while pointing to the huge screen in front of all the computers.

"I can access any camera, through my computer, and then on to that screen," He explained.

Ben just stood there, looking at the different workers. Muldoon was paying close attention to everything

"What would happen if the park's power went down?" Muldoon asked.

    Arnold just chuckled.
"Theres no way that it could happen. The only way to shut off the power, is from THIS room. And you would have to hack into our mainframe, which only I, and the maker of this entire program Dennis Nedry can do. And it's still almost impossible for us to do it" he explained.

"How do you track the dinosaurs?" Muldoon asked.

"Hold on to your butts! No need for so many questions! Many different ways, the one we use most though, is the motion-senser cameras," Arnold said.

"And when can I meet this Nedry fellow?" Muldoon asked.

"He doesn't usually come in alot. When he does come in it's hell. The man is a slob, and not a very nice person," Arnold said while taking another puff of his cigarette.

Ben looked at his watch again. It was now 5:00. And they had to get to dinner. Ben walked over to Muldoon.

"Robert, we need to get to dinner," He said.

"Alright. It was a pleasure meeting you Mr. Arnold," He said while shaking his hand again.

"You too," Arnold sat back down and started typing on his computer.

    ---***Chapter VI***--- Wake Up

Ben and Muldoon both sat in the restaurant of the park. Muldoon was still looking at the menu. But Ben didn't even bother to look at it, he had been here so many times, he had tried everything they had...several times. He probably knew that menu better then the man who wrote it.

    Then their waiter came over.
"What can I get for you two gentleman?"

    Ben spoke first.
"I'll have the Salmon," He said.

The waiter just shook his head, and started writing on the notepad.
"And for you sir?" He asked, while turning to Muldoon. Muldoon put his menu down, and folded it. "I'll the Steak" He said emotionlessly.

"Ok," The waiter said, "Can I get you drinks?"

Ben again spoke first, "Water," He said. "I'll have a scotch," Muldoon said. "With a little ice"

Ben just looked up at Muldoon, knowing what would happen if he got drunk again.

"We have a six o' clock wake up call tomorrow you know Robert," Ben said.

"Oh alright, alright" Muldoon said angrily. "I'll have a lemonade instead"

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------

The night was cold. Like a night back home in Washington, Trevor Erickson thought. But tonight they had to get somthing done. A pack of Velociraptors had to be picked up at Isla Nublar, put on the cargo ship, and taken to Isla Sorna to have them put down. Now Erickson was sitting in front of the cargo ship. Waiting for it to move.

If they left now, they could have the Raptors back to Sorna, by 5 o' clock tomorrow, just in time to meet Mr.Muldoon and 100cc's of poison!

And just as he thought that, the ship's engine started, and they took off.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------

"This is just fucking great," Ben said. He was now carrying, drunk Robert Muldoon back to his hotel room. "YOU PROMISED NOT NOT TO DRINK ROBERT YOU F**KING IDIOT!!!!!!"

All Ben could hear besides the crickets, was the clacking of his shoes against the concrete. The night was cold, and he would have to get up early to wake a hungover Muldoon.

Finally Ben turned the corner and saw the rooms. Each of them like a little cabin. They stood seperate from each other, looking over a cliff that saw the entire park. Ben got up to Muldoons cabin, and sat him down on the ground. Ben unlocked the door and then carried the drunken hunter to his bed"

Muldoon grunted loudly as he was layed down, and then opened his eyes. A fleeting attraction came between the two men, Ben pulled back though and left the room quickly.

He closed the door behind him, and went to his own cabin. He layed down on his bed, in his suit and all hs clothing. Then slowly drifted into sleep................

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Ben's alarm clock sounded. He sat up with a quick jolt, rubbed his eyes, and walked into his bathroom for a quick shave.
Five minutes later, he slowly walked into Muldoons room. He flipped the light on, and walked slowly over to the front of Muldoons bed.

"MULDOON GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED!" He screamed.

Muldoon quickly jolted and sat right up. He opened his eyes and saw that it was Ben.

"C'mon, get out of bed, and take a shower. The Helicopter takes off in one hour," He said, while gathering Muldoon's clothes. Muldoon reached over for the clothes Ben had put out. He grabbed them and walked into the bathroom, to change. Because today was a big day.............................................

The Helicopter was once again swooping over the open sea. And once again Ben and Robert were sitting across from each other.

"Whats the plan for today?" Muldoon asked.

"The first thing we'll do, is meet Mr.Hammond. Then we'll meet Ms. Helena Robertson," Ben returned. Muldoon just simply, nodded.

The Helicopter started moving slowly down towards the muddy runway on Isla Sorna, surrounded by jungle. Ben, once again, almost feeling sick. But this landing didn't bother him as much.

With a final big jolt, they were on there ground. Ben looked at his watch, it was 9:45. They needed to get to Hammonds office at 11:00. They needed to get in a gas powered jeep and step on it.....................................

The jeep splashed through a deep puddle of mud, making it splash onto the side of the vehicle. Muldoon and Ben flew around in the jeep like ragdolls. When finally, the jeep came to a heart pounding hault.

Ben and Muldoon jumped out and headed for Hammonds office. Going through halls, and in elevators, they finally got there. Ben slowly opened the door.

He peaked his head inside and saw Hammond, with his chair turned looking out of the window. Muldoon and Ben both walked in slowly.

    "John, it's us," Ben said.

But there was no answer. The chair didn't move either. He started to walk up closer, and saw that his hand was flopped over the chair. Ben was worried. He ran up to Hammond's chair. His glasses were still on his nose. But it didn't look like he was breathing. Ben ran over to the old man and checked for a pulse. Nothing.

    Ben looked up at Muldoon.

"GO GET HELP, NOW!" He screamed.

Muldoon ran out of the room and went to the secratary.
"HAMMOND'S NOT BREATHING, GET SOME MEDICAL PEOPLE UP HERE NOW!"

The woman picked up the phone and dialed the Islands medical hospital. while Muldoon ran back into the office, where he saw Hammond laying on the ground, and Ben giving him CPR.

"C'mon you son of a bitch breath," Ben said, just before he gave the old man a breath of air from his own lungs.

Muldoon just stood behind the desk and looked at Ben and Hammond. Just before Ben was about to stop, the Medic's came in.

"Clear out of the way sir," One of the Medic's said to Ben.

Ben moved as one of them took out electrical padals. He rubbed the padals together.

    "CLEAR!" He screamed.

And hit the padal to Hammonds chest. Making his body jump a a few inches off the ground. Hammond then opened his mouth and gasped for air. The old man opened his eyes, he looked around the room, breathing heavily. And one of the Med's got the stretcher they had brought in. Then they lifted Hammond onto the stretcher, and carried him down to the ambulence, and drove him to the Island Hospital.

    ---***Chapter VII***--- Darkness

Cold air from the air-vents swooped through Hammonds office, and onto Ben and Muldoon. They both sat, waiting patiently for the phone call from the Hospital.

RING RING RING RING RING RING........

Ben stood up, and picked up the phone.

    "Is he alright?" Ben asked.

"He suffered a mild heart attack, he should be out of the Hostpital by tomorrow," the woman answered.

Ben sighed with relief. Even though he really hated Hammond, the old man didn't deserve to die.

Ben hung up the phone, and sat down in Hammonds chair.

"Well, they said he just suffered a mild heart attack, and should be out of the Hospital by tomorrow," Ben explained.

    "Good," Muldoon said.

"So, why don't we wait till tomorrow for the tour," Ben said, while biting one of his finger nails.

    "Sounds good," Muldoon returned.

"But, what should I do now?" Muldoon asked.

Ben sat puzzled for a moment. Then he looked at his watch.
"Well, it's three o' clock, so lets get lunch,"

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------

Trevor Erickson was once again sitting at the front of the cargo ship. They had bagged the Velociraptor's with ease, and were only ten miles from Sorna. Now all they had to do was get them off the ship........................

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------

Ben and Muldoon both were walking down one of the many sidewalks in Jurassic Park. They had just ate lunch, and it was now 5:00.

"So when do I get to see one of these bloody things?" Muldoon asked Ben.

"Tomorrow my friend, definetly tomorrow," but just as Ben said that, one of the Jurassic Park security guards ran up to them.

"MR. PATERNO! THE VELOCIRAPTORS HAVE ESCAPED!" The man screamed.

Ben's mouth dropped. He looked at Muldoon.

"I think you'll be seeing them a little sooner than you think," He said.

Both of the men ran to the nearest gas powered jeep, and headed to the Cargo ship.........

    "Ms. Robertson,"

    "Yes Kerry?" Helena replied.

"There's been a security breach mam, half a dozen security guards are dead, Ben is on the phone and needs to speak to you," Kerry said.

Helena frantically picked up the phone.

"BEN! Whats going on?" She asked.

"The pack of Raptors broke loose when they got here. Erickson said that they somehow opened the padlock on their cage, must've bitten through it. Me, Muldoon and the rest of the security guards are going after them," His voice started to break up over the cell phone, "Don't--------tell------Hammond-------anyone-----"

"BEN!?" She yelled. And the phone went dead.

"SHIT!" Ben screamed, as he threw the cell phone into the jungle.

Erickson handed Muldoon a high powered rifle, and Ben a pistol.

Ben looked around and saw where the cage had broken off, and the pile of security guards bodies. One of them had their neck twisted 180 degrees.

They were now on the beach, and would have to move quickly to catch up to them. Ben could see the Raptor tracks on the sand, they led straight into the jungle....But he figured if anyone knew about this kind of stuff, it would be Muldoon.

"What do you think we should do Robert?" Ben asked.

Muldoon slowly kneeled down next to one of the footprints.
"How many of them are there?" Muldoon asked.

    "Six" Erickson replied.

"Send ten men to follow the tracks, and send another ten to circle around the island in jeeps. Erickson, you go with me and the ten men that are going after the tracks, Ben your going with the jeeps. In all likely-hood, all of them are going to stay with each other. So if anyone see's them, get on the radio and tell somone, now lets go" Muldoon said.

Trevor and Muldoon seperated the group, and everyone took off......But soon it would be night....And it looked as if there was a storm rolling in.............

Muldoon looked at his watch, it would be another 30 minutes til night, and rain was falling like bricks out of the sky. Nobody had seen anything yet. But Muldoon knew they were close......He could feel them. As the wind whipped acros his face, he lifted up his fedora, and placed it onto his head.

Everyone moved slowly through the dark, wet jungle. Muldoon and Erickson were in front of the group.

Muldoon stopped, he raised his hand to give the stop sign. Erickson came up behind him.

"What are you stopping for?" He asked.

"They're right ahead of us," Muldoon replied, "There's one of them, I don't know where the rest are. Keep all the men close, something isn't right."
Muldoon said, while staring from behind a bush.

Muldoon looked to his right and saw a 50 x 50 clearing. The grass stood about waist height, and he thought, if they flanked to the field, they could ambush the Raptor. He turned around and gave the signal for Erickson to come up next to him.

"Were flanking into that field. But just half of the men, if we send too many it'll see us," He said.

Ben jerked up and down in the jeep. He hadn't seen anything yet, and he didn't expect to. He had just gotten a radio call in, saying that they had found one of the Raptors. But one thing Thomas Gordon had once told him was, "Those damn things don't leave each others side."

Muldoon lay quietly in the tall grass. Erickson by his side, and at least 10 men behind them. They had been crawling for the last 5 minutes, and he knew they were finaly in the right spot.

He slowly got to his knees. And aimed with the rifle toward the brown spot in between the green bushes. His finger slowly started to pull down on the trigger, when...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The men in the woods yelled. They screamed and ran out of the woods, with 5 of the Velociraptors running, and jumping on the backs of the security men. All Muldoon could hear was the blood curdling screams of the men.

The Raptors were like machines, they would pounce on one man, then get up and pounce on the next. Taking them down one at a time. The last man broke into the grass, his arm was torn off, and he was running toward the rest of the men. Muldoon didn't recognize the man. But it seemed like Erickson did. Because he yelled.

    "JERRY!"

And took off running towards him, Muldoon tried to pull him back, but he broke loose. He didn't get very far though, because before he could get to Jerry, the Raptor that they were originaly hunting, jumped out of the trees and started to feast on Erickson.

Muldoon got up and blew a bullet into the side of the Raptor, and tried to help Erickson. But when he got to the body, it was too late. Half of his face was torn off, and his skull was broke open, making part of his brain ooze out of his head. And the Raptors took off into the jungle.

Muldoon peaked his head up. He looked and saw that only three of the men were still alive. The grass wasn't green anymore, half of it was blood red. He could still hear the men that were injured. There screams like they were being torchered. He couldn't see the Raptors anymore. And he had only killed one of them. Who knew if any of the security gaurds had bagged any. The surviving men still did 360's looking to see if any of the Raptors would come back.

Everything was quite. The screams had stopped. And now Muldoon was searching Ericksons body for the radio. He checked in his jacket pocket, BINGO! There was blood splattered on the front of the radio. But it was working.

"BEN! BEN! WE'VE BEEN AMBUSHED, SEND MEDICS NOW! WERE AT THE CLEARING!" He screamed.

Ben listened over the radio, what hit his ears was what he had feared. Then he picked up the jeep radio, turned the nob to the Hospital frequency, and screamed to the other end.

"WE NEED MEDICS AT THE CLEARING NEAR THE SPINO PADDOCK!" Ben screamed. But then he realized what he just said.

Muldoon gathered the other men, and they stood together in a circle. The sun was just barely showing. But he saw somthing in the corner of his eye, it made the hair on his neck stand, and his whole body got goosebumps.

They were back, but there was only three of them, which meant that one of the security gaurds got one. They moved slow, and they all came from different directions. One of the security gaurds freaked out and started to shoot at them. But all he was hitting was air. Missing the Raptors by feet. But finally he hit the first Raptor in the chest, making blood splatter, as it fell to the ground.

Muldoon looked at the other two men, they looked to scared to move. It was going to end up being, the mad security gaurd, and him that were going to kill these Raptors. But the loan Security gaurd, started drifting away from the group while shooting, he kept screaming and then shooting.

"GET BACK IN THE GROUP!" Muldoon screamed. He moved his gun up and aimed at the Raptor in front of him. His finger smushed down on the trigger. But nothing happend. He had tons of ammo, but the gun wouldn't shoot. He looked behind him, and saw that the loan shooter, had already been attacked, and the other two were running for the jungle.

Muldoon stood alone, with two Raptors left. All of them with blood on there faces. He wanted to run, but he knew that if he did, he was just going to die tired. But he heard somthing, it wasso loud that it deffened his ears. He looked to the left and saw a dinosaur bursting through the trees. It wasn't a normal dinosaur though. It's face looked like a Crocadile. And it had a sail on its back. He didn't remember it on the species list. But whatever it was, it was going after the Raptors. The Dino swooped its big jaws down, and squashed the Raptor between it's teeth. It lifted it's head to swollow the Raptor whole, with the blood pooring from it's jaws.

The other raptor jumped onto the side of the Dinosaurs sail. It slowly moved up to the back of its head, trying to keep its balance, as the Dino shook like a wet Dog trying to dry himself. It started to naw on the back of it's head. Muldoon saw this and took off into the jungle, he ran until his blood pumped battery acid. He looked behind and saw that the Velociraptor was now in the Dinosaurs gigantic claws. Like somthing out of King Kong. The Dino threw the Velociraptor into it's bloody jaws, and chomped.

    ---***Epilouge***---
    4 Weeks later.

Ben now sat in John Hammonds office. The air was cool, so cool that it would even turn Ray Arnold white.

It had turned out that Hammonds heart attack was much worse than everyone had thought. He had to walk around with a heart monitor. And this latest incident wasn't helping his blood pressure.

"John, I think you have to realize that the security in this park.....It's just pathetic," Ben proclaimed.

"Muldoon, will help the security, trust me Ben," Hammond said.

"Hammond, your denial is going to destroy this park. One man is not going to help this entire park. And now we need a new weapons specialist. This park is going down the toilet," Ben said.

There was silence for a few moments, all you could hear was Hammonds heart monitor.

"Now, you listen hear you little fucker," Hammond was now standing, pointing his finger in Bens face. "If you don't like this fucking park you can just leave.........In fact YOUR FIRED!" Hammond screamed.

Hammonds heart monitor now made even louder, and faster beeps.

Ben stood up, and started to walk out. He turned around to Hammond and said:

"You know what, I'm glad you fired me. Because if you didn't I'd probably end up dead. Just like half of your workers," Ben said. He closed the door and walked out.

Hammond sat down, almost like he had been proved wrong.

But Ben was better now, almost as if, His life had been saved. He was out of the job, but, his life was now better. And now, it was time to look for a job.....
