Jurassic Park IV: Extinction (Part13)

Damon pulled Casey towards him, and embraced her as a stalagtite fell where she had been. Everyone was frantically running, dodging the falling ceiling and Casey looked up in Damon's eyes. He looked down in hers. Brent Turner ran from behind them and tugged at Casey's shirt, motioning her to keep moving, father into the caverns.
Malcolm's lanky body ran between the crevices of the walls of the caves. Roland was not to far behind him, as was the blonde woman. She actually got ahead of them and jumped a clear 4 ft ledge. The other 5 guards were behind Turner helping eachother to keep going.
The blonde woman stopped and so did the others, the cave had been still for awhile, but they had been running in fear and confusion. Turner got in front of everyone and said, "Single file, Carlos and James to the back and Natalya, Matt, Alex, and Travis with me. Roland, Casey, Malcolm, and Damon were inbetween them, their hands still bound. Brent stopped and everyone listened. A large boom was heard in the distance and the whole cavern shook, "Not again Dammit!" Turner said.
Chris and Jane were in a cage, usually used for animals, but in this case used for them. They had been captured by BioSyn guards and brought back to headquarters. They had stayed overnight in the cage, leaning on eachother while sleeping. They both were weak. Their clothes were torn and ragged and they hadnt eaten in days.
"Chris.." Jane said, nudging Chris on the shoulder.
"What?" He said rubbing his eyes.
"What are they going to do with us??"
"I dont know, probably kill us, Dodgson will do anything to keep his project a secret."
"it's not like i have anything left to live for" Jane said looking at the floor.
Chris didnt respond, he didnt know her backround, and he didnt know what he could say to console her. He decided to change the subject.
"Did u see the volcano, it looked like it was about to burst!" Chris said looking at Jane.
"Yea, all that smoke was hard to see through, i remember in the helicopter we had to go around it."
"Ya, have u felt the small quakes recently? I really think that we might be in for a eruption."
"Yea, it's screwed my nintendo playing a bunch." Jane said smiling.
"this whole island was created by a volacano you know, all islands are, and most are still active, including ours...Nublar." Connors said.
"I hope it doesnt blow soon though!"jane said.
"Well at least till we get off, i dont care if it blows while everyone else is still here" Jane said with optimism.
They heard footsteps walking down the hallway and Jane scooted to the back of the cage, which was against the wall.
Dodgson walked in and a guard followed him. Dodgson looked at Connors and unlocked the cage door, he walked in and knelt down, "how did u egt here little girl?" Dodgson said. His face had a weird grin on it and Jane didnt even look at him.
"just leave her alone Lew, it doesnt matter anymore." Chris said.
"Dodgson put a gun to Chris' head and said. "I'd keep my opinions to myself if i were you." "You're lucky you're both not dinofood right know, and I can change all that with the snap of my fingers, but i couldnt live with myself for killing a young girl so you're spared, you on the other hand i want to see suffer." He said looking at Chris, who sat there and stared Dodgson in the eyes. Dodgson lifted his gun, and hit chris across the face with it, and turned and left the room. Chris moaned in pain and fell to the ground and Jane jumped on top of him to lift him up.
"Bastard!!!" She yelled as Dodgson as he left the room.
The earth shook violently beneath the crew. Then suddenly the ground gave up and All of the team fell in a hole. A pitch black hole. When they hit the bottom a huge crack was heard and it sounded like someones' bones. Noone knew who it was. They were all jsut lying there motionless trying to regain a drive, to get themselves on their feet, which was especially hard for malcolm casey roland and damon who all had their hands tied together. Brent Turner was the first to stand. He fired a flare and it illuminated a small circle around the 11 people. Natalya was the one whose leg had broken. Her bone jutted out of her knee and she tried to pick herself up, but it was no use. Malcolm looked into the darkness around them and rustling could be heard. He could barely see at all, but he felt he was not alone and the whole group sensed motion behind the black curtain of darkness. A clicking sound was heard on the cavern floor and a soft, gutteral purr echoed throughout the cave. Malcolm and the rest of the group stayed motionless, trying to grasp a sense of what was stalking them...
