In Michael Crichton's JP novel, the ages of the children are reversed: the boy is older, while the girl is younger. Spielberg reportedly flipped the ages of the kids so Joseph Mazello could play Tim.

    Batman: The Frightening (Part2)
    By Crisco

Delia Parker put on her makeup as Bruce entered the limo.

"What took you so long?" Delia asked, obviously annoyed.

Bruce ignored her and sat at the other end of the limo bench, looking out the window.

The limo arrived at the new Dinosaur Museum where a red carpet extended from the doorway to the sidewalk. Bruce tapped on the tinted glass to the driver.

"Alfred I'll give you a call when I’m ready." He said as Alfred nodded. Bruce opened his own door, and on his way out Delia said, "Remember to open my door!"

Bruce walked to her door and opened it, took her hand and smiled sardonically. She did as well and they proceeded down the carpet to the doors.

A huge Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton huge in the foyer and men in tuxedos and women in elegant dresses mingled and drank wine underneath it.

"I'll see you in a little while, be good." Delia said to Bruce.

Bruce walked to the hourderve table and took three and shoved them into his mouth. He knew that it wasn't appropriate but he really didn't care, there was no one to impress there, unless..."

"Bruce Wayne!" Bruce heard behind him. He quickly spat his food on a napkin and put it in his pocket.

"Hello Mayor Parker, How are you doing this lovely evening?" Bruce asked.

" Fine, Fine, Fine, What are you up to these days Bruce?" Mayor Parker asked.

"Not much.... I’m actually working on an addition to my home, an underground gym area." Bruce answered.

"Sounds...Worthwhile...I'm glad you're investing your time in such a large endeavor." The mayor said.

Bruce didn’t know how to take the comment and took a sip of a wineglass next to his table.

"Well I hope you're taking good care of my daughter." The mayor said glaring at Bruce.

    "Always," Bruce said smiling.

Mayor Parker walked away and Bruce was relieved, he picked the folded napkin out of his pocket and threw it in the trash.

"Oh yes, Bruce is wonderful mother. He takes me out to dinner all the time and always is a gentleman. He's working on an addition to his house and..." Delia said fakely.

"Yes yes my dear, I'd be very surprised if Bruce Wayne is the man you say he is. I've heard stories about all those girls at his mansions Delia I know what he's all about."

Bruce walked up to them and said, "Delia we need to talk."

    "Bye Mother." Delia said, smiling.

    "Ta Ta" Mrs. Parker answered.

Bruce led Delia to the back of the room and asked her to sit down.

"I'm fine standing thank you." she answered arrogantly.

"I think we need to talk about us."

"I know exactly where this is going Bruce and I need to talk to you before you say another word."

    Bruce let her continue.

"I have tried VERY hard to please you, I've been patient and I've waited, For WHAT Bruce?"

Bruce knew it was rhetorical and kept his mouth shut.

"Exactly, All you do all day is lay around your "castle" and play with those sluts and waste you money on bullshit! I decided months ago that it wasn't going to bother me because I really liked you."

"BS Delia, I heard you this morning, don't play me for a fool." Bruce said waving his hand.

"Yea well I don’t care anymore because it's over."

    Bruce smiled.

Delia continued, "And just to let you know, you're nothing but a brat with money, Do you even realize you're potential between your wealth and power? C'mon Bruce your not a kid anymore, start acting like a grown up, an adult, work for heaven's sake. You're just a pathetic son of a bitch I want nothing to do with any longer."
Then Delia stomped away in her high heels.

Bruce stood there for a moment. She was right, he was a loser. He had been numb to all he was doing the past year, laying around, fooling around, everything. He had been trying so hard to forget about his pain, his parents. He knew he had become what he hated about wealthy people. He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed one.

    "Alfred, I'm ready."

    "So soon Master?"

"Yea, I’ll meet you in the back.
He strided out of the room, at the door he saw Delia with her fake smile talking to the curator. She passed him a wicked eye as he left the museum.

Matt Streppman through a glow in the dark frisbee to his german shepherd. He was 17 years old and Captain of the Varsity football team. He had been trying everything to take his mind away from the mail. He had been waiting for college letters to see if he'd get recruited. He lived on a farm just outside of Gotham his entire life and he was ready to leave.

"Go get it Boe, good boy." The dog ran into the cornfield and caught the frisbee. It ran back very quickly and played tug of war with Matt.
After a long struggle Matt won and looked at Boe

"Get ready for this one, it's going to China." He threw the frisbee with great force and it flew in the night sky. Its outline was seen against the moon and then it descended into the cornfield. Boe immediately chased after it.

He heard the dog barking innocently for a while.

"Alright Boe, come on, lets go, do you want a treat?"

The dog continued barking, but it got louder and more ferocious. Matt ran to meet his dog. He pushed stalks of corn behind him and came to a 4 by 4 clearing where his dog stood barking at their scarecrow. Matt was just slightly taller than the corn and looked puzzled when he saw the scarecrow. He looked to the side and saw another. When he looked back at the one in front of him, it's head looked up and eyes behind a potato sack mask peered into his own.
He screamed as loud as he could and soon all he could see was a fiery orange smoke.

Matt Streppman was standing on a pillar high above Gotham City. He just had enough room for both of his feet and he stood alone. The Highest building in Gotham stood 50 ft. below him and he shivered because of the cruel autumn wind. He was balancing perfectly and sweating all over. He was crying, tears of salt fell to the ground from so high. His legs began to tremble and his knees buckled, he fell but his shirt got caught on a tiny imperfection in the metal that was structured so high in the sky. He closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable, then his shirt snapped, and the rushing wind came up at him. The skin on his face began to tear off and his closed seem to just evaporate. He looked like his body was inside out and blood fell to the ground around him as he neared the sidewalk. 20 ft. 10 ft.

    BAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMM Matt Streppman's life ended.
