The Quest of Hengus

The year’s 2018. Scientists have decided to try to create creatures from the myths and legends all around the world from all different cultures. This was decided on March 20th. After a long time, with a lot of hard work, which includes splitting up different creatures DNA, Scientists finally create some of these mythical creatures. September 1st, the first Embryos were put into eggs.
A few months later on July 9th, the eggs hatch. So far only two creatures have been created. Dragons, giant winged lizards that can breathe fire, and Griffons, creatures with the head, wings and front legs of an Eagle and the body, tail and back legs of a Lion. Excited about this, Scientists began to create more and more of these fantastic animals. A few years later Minotaurs, Unicorns, Hippogriffs, Chimeras, Cockatrices, Jabberwockies, Vampires, Harpies, Pegasai, Boogey Men, Fairies, Werewolves and Phoenixes were successfully bred.
But as always, something bad happens. On the Summer of August 17th, 2038, the creatures escaped. They destroyed cities and town everywhere. They were then classified as Monsters. Civilization was soon brought to it’s knees. By October 8th the same year, civilization was a fantasy. Many found it ironic that reality became fantasy by fantasy that became reality.
After this tragic event, Humans began to live life like the Ancient Celts of the Iron Age did. Living in villages in huts.

A thousand years later, the monsters became a part of every day life. But one day a giant and mighty Dragon came to the Highlands of Scotland. It feared many of the natives so they raised a huge battle force to kill it. They marched into the mountains to try and kill it. No one returned.
Then one day the son of the General of this battle force was eating his haggis on a rainy day. This man’s name was Hengus McDonald. He had reddish hair, reddish goatee and a large built body and arms with muscles the size of mountains. Just as he finished his food there came a tapping at his door.
He went to open the door and saw an old man standing outside.
