It was theorized by some in the scientific community not too long ago that the back vertebrae of Spinosaurus didn't support a sail as most often depicted, but actually a large hump, like bison. (From: jurassiraptor)

Jurassic Park IV: Evolution PART 7
    By Carnotaur3

    EXT. OUTSIDE CAVE – DAY

Billy and Ellie saw Barron run out, still looking like he was going to fall and black out. Behind him the Barys caught up, tripping him down to the ground. His heart thumped loudly.

But then a Triceratops smacked into one of the Baryonyx, sending it straight through one of the horns.

The Barys charged at the trike. Barron escaped with his life.

Barron caught up with Billy and Ellie and they left all together into the jungle.

    EXT. LAGOON – DAY

Grant and King found a better route to the lagoon and were now on the coast meeting up with a Costa Rican.

    COSTA RICAN
We have American you can talk to, seniors.

    KING
    Where?

The American saw Grant and King and immediately ran to them.

    AMERICAN
What the hell happened to you guys?

    GRANT
    Long story.

    AMERICAN
    What you all need?

    GRANT
2 rescue choppers. One for us and for your people.

    EXT. CREEK – DAY

Lewis Dodson felt blood dripping down his brow. His head was aching like nothing before. His blurred vision began to restore.

Then, he remembered what had happened. He sat up in the creek, blood all over his face.

Dodgson was now damning King for doing what he did. If Lewis ever got hold of King he’d kill him.

Then, Dodgson noticed his soggy pack of cigarettes in the very shallow water. He picked them up, water dripping from the bottom.

    DODGSON
    Damn, they ruined my pack.

He opened the top, there was one good cigarette in it.

    DODGSON (cont’d)
    Almost…

He took out the stick and put it between his top and bottom lips.

A chitter rang through the air.

Dodgson was alert. He looked around, still sitting in the creek. A dozen Compsygnathus bobbed their heads up and down.

    DODGSON
Ah yes… I remember you’ll. Harmless little buggers. You want food?

They still chirped and bobbed up and down.

    DODGSON
I don’t have any food. Go find someone who does.

He threw a rock at them. Immediately they all scattered to different ends of the jungle.

Dodgson laid himself down in the creek looking up at the sky.

The sky was blue and clear. Not a cloud up there.

He smiles, still with his cig in his mouth.

Then, out of nowhere, a sound like a swan call entered his ear. It sounded familiar. It was something he had heard back when the facilities were running.

< What was it… A dinosaur? Yeah, it was a dinosaur… But was it a carnivore or a herbivore? What’s the point Lewis? Who cares. I just feel like sleeping. Nothing matters anymore. >

A splash, like an animal had ran through the creek, was heard. Hooting sounds all around him.

    A Dilophosaur came into view.

It’s head jerked back like it was surprised to see Dodgson there.

The carnivore stood 9 feet tall and 6 feet long. It’s crest, a colorful green, not to mention the reds and blues on the frill.

    DODGSON
    You intimidating me?

He laughed. Three more Dilophosaurs came out and joined the adult. They were the children, about 3 feet tall and 3 feet long.

    DODGSON
Any you guys got a light?

They opened their mouths showing off their teeth and making a low growl.
Dodgson was now struck with fear. His legs trembled. His heart raced. He had no way out. And this time he was going to get what he deserved.

    DODGSON
(Can’t get the words out with out stuttering)
    I guess not.

The adult Dilophosaur pinned Dodgson down with his foot. Dodgson howled through the air, feeling the claws gouging at his chest. He managed to get out from underneath the foot. And just as he turned around to run, another Dilophosaur showed it’s colorful frill and then blackness engulfed his eyes. It was some kind of black goo. It started to sting.

Dodgson ran around the creek, trying to regain sight, but it never showed up.

    DODGSON
Is anybody else here? I can’t see! Help me!

The young Dilophosaur jumped on his chest, sending him down in the water again. Then, he felt the burning sensation of flesh being shredded. As he tried to scream the mouth of the other Dilphosaur child opened wide then closed shut over Dodgson’s face.
