Jack - Part 5

EXT. CARNIVAL – NIGHT (HALLOWEEN 3:36 A.M.)
When they got there there was no lights, no life, and no Ryan… They sat there after looking forever and finally Jon got up.
JON
I’m tired.
MIKE
Me too!
JANE
Guys, I think we better get going quick before Jack comes.
JON
He might not know where we are!
MIKE
I kind of think dead guys can be really smart.
JON
What else is new!
Jon chuckles and starts to walk over to a PORTA JOHN.
JON
Excuse me, gotta go to the little boys room.
Jon walks over to the JOHN, and he opens the door.
INSIDE:
Jon starts to hum The Brady Bunch song. We then see a shadow appear on the ground, outside the JOHN.
A knock on the door and Jon jumps.
JON
Hey, Mike, I think you better wait your turn.
A spear ran towards him and he got to his feet. The spear cut his skin; it went back out. It came back in and went straight through his leg. He was trapped. Nothing he could do but wait. Wait for Jack.
The roof of the JOHN flew off. And he could see something on top.
JACK
Hey, Jon, Jack’s back!
Jon screamed as Jack flew down in with him.
Mike could hear the screaming of pain and torture, so he ran to get him.
Jane followed close behind. She was scared too death.
MIKE
NOOO!
Mike screamed as he saw Jack come running at him and saw the lifeless body of Jon laying on the ground.
Mike saw a pole laying on the ground so he dove for it. He grabbed it in his hands and swung it constantly. It hit Jack in the back and Mike ran for it.
He grabbed Jane and they started running back to their car.
INT. BAR – NIGHT (HALLOWEEN 4:03 A.M)
Ryan sat at the bar with his liquor in his hands. He was about to doze off when a man tapped on his shoulder.
MAN
Hey, hey, wake up, man!
RYAN
Huh?
MAN
You look a little dead right now.
RYAN
I am!
MAN
Really?
RYAN
Yep!
Ryan takes another drink of the liquor.
MAN
You’re in no condition to drive!
RYAN
Oh, yeah!
Ryan throws a 5 dollar bill at the bartender. The bartender puts it in his pocket.
MAN
Hey, you wouldn’t happen to be chief of police? Would you?
RYAN
Yeah, why ask?
MAN
There’s a dead body over at the carnival.
Ryan stopped dead in his tracks from going out the door. The bartender looks up.
RYAN
Come with me…
The man follows Ryan outside, and they start to talk.
They talk as they walk!
RYAN
What happened. Would you like to confess something.
MAN
Yes, I should’ve called the police, but I was too scared that they might think I would’ve done it.
RYAN
I imagine why!
MAN
Look, he was a police officer. Because, I looked at his ID!
RYAN
Nashville police?
MAN
Oh, yeah. I believe his name was Jon Fray.
Ryan stopped and looked at him in concern…
RYAN
Jon Fray?
Ryan asked it in a jittery voice.
MAN
Yeah.
RYAN
I got to go.
Ryan jumps in his car and starts it up.
MAN
I’m sorry for not calling the police.
RYAN
I forgive you (YELLS out when he rolls down his car window)
He, then, drives off. The man watches him drive off and, then, he smiles. We then see his eye change to a jack o’ lantern eye.
INT. CAR – NIGHT (HALLOWEEN 4:15 A.M.)
Mike was driving the car towards his house. He got out with Jane and ran to the door.
DANNY
Dad!
Danny came running out the door. And he hugged him.
MIKE
Dan!
DANNY
Where’ve you been?
Danny asked in a concerned voice.
MIKE
That’s not important. What’s important is that you’re going to your grandmother’s house.
DANNY
What?
JANE
We can’t explain right now, but you’ll be safe there!
DANNY
No, dad! What’s going on?
MIKE
Just get in the car, Danny!
DANNY
But, dad!
A shadow appeared at the wall. It was Jack Forman. But this time, it was in his human form.
JACK
We don’t want Danny to go somewhere boring do we?
Jack comes up behind Danny. He shows off his sickle behind Danny. Only Mike and Jane saw it.
