Jack - Part 4

Jane was seen in the bottom of the stairs.
JANE
What’s going on around here?
She had a sack of groceries in her hand.
MIKE
Mark’s dead, and somebody just chased us through the house with a sickle.
JESSIE
Mike, Ryan said that the kids who were murdered might have a connection through all this, that was him. The guy who killed the kids…And, possibly, Mark!
MIKE
Oh it was him, alright!
JANE
I don’t understand.
Mike turned to her again.
MIKE
It’s hard to explain…
A sickle went straight through the door. Mike jumped and pointed down the stair towards the door to the garage. They all ran like dogs to it. Then they got to the car.
JANE
Mike, hurry, open the door!
MIKE
I’m trying. I’m trying!
The jack o’ lantern man ran towards them as they all went inside the car.
JANE
Put the keys in!
Mike turns the keys and it won’t start. Now, the jack o’ lantern man is right beside their car.
He starts to tap on the windows with his sickle…
And then Mike remembers back when jack Forman was decapitated.
The jack o’ lantern man was Jack… Jack Forman.
JACK
It’s me Mikey boy! It’s me!
Jack throws the sickle at the window and it cracks.
JACK (cont’d)
You killed me! Ahh!
Jack screams as he beats on the car door. Mike, finally, gets the car started and it vromms down the street. Jessie and Jane are terrified.
JESSIE
Where do we go now!
MIKE
I don’t –
Jack thumps on the front windshield of the car. Mike stops the car and Jack falls to the ground. The car goes dead on Mike.
MIKE
Oh, come on… Start, baby, start!
Jack gets back up and breaks the window to the back seat and pulls Jessie out. Jessie falls to the ground.
JANE
Jessie!
Jack grabs Jessie again but she escapes and run down the street.
MIKE
Where’d she go?
Mike looks around and doesn’t see Jack or Jessie in sight.
EXT. STREETS – NIGHT
Jessie was running at high speeds when a police car came driving by.
JESSIE
Help me, please, help me!
The cop came out of the car. He started to grab her.
COP
What’s wrong? What happened?
JESSIE
Some one’s trying to – to – kill me!
The cop could tell she was running a long time because of the hard breathing.
He directed her to the inside of the car.
COP
You’ll be safe in here!
The cop went straight back to his seat.
COP
We got a 10-4…We got a 10 –4!
He said in the CB- RADIO.
Then, the lights of the car captured a shadow run by him on the right of the car.
The cop pulled his gun out and waited.
He turned around.
COP
Miss, stay in-
What he saw was the girl’s head dangling off her own neck.
And the passenger door wide opened.
COP
Oh, crap!
A sickle went straight through his head. Before he could even get out of the car. The camera shows Jack wipe the sickle off with his hand and fingers.
EXT. OUTSIDE OF JON’S HOUSE – NIGHT
We see Mike and Jane running towards Jon Fray’s house.
They stop when they get to the door. They look exhausted. Jane starts to cry.
JANE
Don’t give up! Don’t give up!
She nods to him, and they ring the doorbell.
We see in the inside part of the house as Jon goes up to open the door.
He opens it.
JON
Mike? Jane?
INT. JON’S HOUSE – DAY
We see Mike talking to Jon.
MIKE
It was Jack Forman.
JON
That’s heavy duty doc.
MIKE
I’m serious!
Jon turns toward… Then he starts to put ice in a cup.
JON
It’s hard to believe though, Mike! I mean isn’t Jack… Humph, dead!
MIKE
Not anymore!
Jon walks up to him with a glass of water.
JON
Where’s he… Here you go… Where is he now? Do you know?
MIKE
He disappeared.
JON
Nature calls. Sorry, hold on!
Jon walks to the bathroom.
JANE
He doesn’t believe us, Mike!
MIKE
Give him time…
We then, here a thump. And glass breaking.
JON
Ahh, crap!
Mike and Jane run over to the bathroom.
They see Jon looking at writing on a mirror. It was smeared with blood. And it said “Hey, Mike, Jessie was really a pain in the head.
Jon pointed down towards the toilet. Blood was dripping from it. Jon went and slightly opened it and then, completely. Inside, laid Jessie’s head.
Mike fell to the ground and he blacked out.
INT. CAR – NIGHT (HALLOWEEN 2:45 A.M.)
Mike awoke only to see a ceiling of the car. He swiftly moved his head and saw that Jon was driving. Jane was holding his head on her lap.
MIKE
What’s going on?
JANE
Were going to get Ryan!
MIKE
What?
Mike was really drowsy and he couldn’t get his head up.
MIKE (cont’d)
Won’t that be a little hard! I mean, I never knew what he did on Thursday nights.
JANE
This ain’t Thursday, it’s Friday. Halloween…
Mike’s eyes went opened.
MIKE
The day Jack Forman was killed.
JANE
Yep!
MIKE
We can have a surprise any second.
JON
Hey, Mike, they said Ryan was at a carnival.
MIKE
It’s too late, now.
JON
I know, the carnival’s closed, but he always stays there late. He helps clean up the place after it closes.
Mike, finally, gets his head up.
MIKE
Well, it’s worth a shot!
