Slayer - Episode 4x14 - The Yearbook

Rick: Previously on Slayer...
CHARGER CITY – THE MAGIC BOX
BEN, RIVER, TARA, MANDY and FALCON stood inside.
Ben: Well, it’s not bad – a bit of a fix-it-up job, but I think we can manage.
Tara: Who’s going to run it?
Ben: Well, Brad said he talked to his cousin, the owner of the one in Sunnydale. He said it was fine for it sprawl off, as the one in Sunnydale was destroyed.
Tara: Oh.
Ben: So when Brad returns from England, he’ll take over at the school as Librarian, and I’ll stay here as the manager.
The HOST cracked his neck and then cracked his knuckles.
Ben: I don’t want to fight you.
The HOST punched BEN into a wall. BEN fell to the ground but quickly got to his feet and got in the HOST’S face.
Ben: I said ‘I didn’t want to.’ I didn’t say I wouldn’t.
BEN flip-kicked the HOST into a TELEPHONE BOOTH sending him crashing through it. BEN picked up the host and gave him an upper-cut that sent him into POWER LINES. The HOST grabbed onto the POWER LINES, as soon as he did, he started to get a jolt of electricity and he flew into the air.
Ben: Buffy was right…
BEN looks at the POWER LINES.
Ben: …it is about power.
RYAN threw the DUFFLE BAG on his shoulder and started to walk out of the house.
RYAN’S CELL PHONE started to ring. RYAN pulled it off the waist of his belt. He threw the phone up in the air.
He pulled a gun from inside his COAT.
He OPENED FIRE on the falling CELL PHONE. The PHONE gave a small explosion.
RYAN got in his CAR and sped off.
NEW EPISODE
BEN’S HOUSE – AFTERNOON
BEN and RIVER sit across from each other at the DINNER TABLE. RIVER eats some of the mashed potatoes while BEN munches away at some chicken.
River: It’s really good.
Ben: Well, thank you. I haven’t really cooked since…I’ve never cooked.
River: KFC?
Ben: You got it.
River: Well it’s good, nonetheless. So what happened the other night, when you went to see Buffy?
Ben: I saw Buffy…no biggie.
River: No, the other part, when you came home.
Ben: Oh the new guy.
River: Yeah…what happened with that?
Ben: It was shocking, absolutely shocking.
DESERTED AREA OUTSIDE DOWNTOWN CHARGER CITY
A BODY lies in the ground, as if it had fallen from a plane. The GROUND was impacted and the body was a good THREE FEET in the ground. The clothes on the body were singed and had several holes.
BLOOD surrounded the body on the dirt and the body didn’t move. We’re forced to assume the body is dead, but out of no where, the BODY starts to shake. The BODY stands up and THE HOST stretches.
Host: My God! That totally sucked ass!
THE HOST shakes dirt off of him and starts walking back towards CHARGER CITY
DANSVILLE
DANSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
RYAN lies surround by VAMPIRES, looking scared. ONE of the VAMPIRES turns to dust. The REMAINING 4 pull back, looking around. MAJESTIC jumps from a bush and tackles TWO VAMPIRES down to the ground. RYAN scrambled to his feet and started to back off. One of the LARGER VAMPIRES followed RYAN.
RYAN pulled his gun out.
Vampire: Please tell me that you know bullets can’t kill us.
RYAN put the GUN right on the VAMPIRES throat.
Ryan: No…but decapitation kills you.
RYAN pulled the trigger and the VAMPIRES head flew off, turning it to dust.
RYAN ran over to MAJESTIC. MAJESTIC struggled with the two VAMPIRES, but he finally staked them.
RYAN pulled MAJESTIC up.
Ryan: Thanks man.
Majestic: Don’t mention it…but why are you back here?
Ryan: Oh…that’s a long story.
The FOURTH VAMPIRE springs into the air. BOTH MEN turn to face it, but are met with DUST as the VAMPIRE EXPLODES.
RYAN and MAJESTIC look at each other.
A MAN in a SUIT carrying a HAND-CROSSBOW steps out from the shadows.
Toby: Lucky for you guys, I’ve been tracking those vampires…
It was TOBY COMPY, a SECRET SERVICE AGENT.
Toby: I had some time off, but I’m always trailing vampires, and they led me here. No need to thank you.
Ryan: Can we buy you something to drink?
OPENING CREDITS
A Zoom in of Charger City at night. “SLAYER” appears in red text. Scenes of BEN, RIVER, PARA, RICK, RYAN, and TARA walking down a hallway.
BEN dives through a window and pulls out a cross bow with a flaming arrow on the end. He releases the trigger and hits a VAMPIRE which explode into dust. [Starring Ben] BEN, BECKY, and ICE attack dozens of DEMONS.
BRAD throws an AXE in a GRAVEYARD, missing the VAMPIRE, but sending it the other direction.
PARA throws a blue glowing orb at a DEMON. She dances with BEN at a NIGHT CLUB. PARA and BECKY roll on the ground, PULLING each other’s hair. [Para girl] PARA looks at a map with RICK.
SHANE and MARTY swing BASEBALL BATS at a HUGE SCALY DEMON.
RIVER walks into his high school, greeted by SHANE and MARTY. RIVER runs at a wall of lockers and flip kicks himself over a bully. [Jedi A. Malcolm] VAMPIRES surround RIVER, he spins around with a sword, decapitating them all as they turn to dust.
RIVER and HEATHER RUN from VAMPIRES.
TARA looks through her books of spells. TARA kisses MANDY on the lips. [JP3 Girl] TARA’S body splits in too DARK MAGIC and LIGHT MAGIC. Tara throws herself into a portal and it seals.
SETH REX starts throwing SHOES from the shoe store at BEN inside CHARGER CITY MALL.
RICK spars in a ring with BEN. RICK pulls his crossbow out and fires. RICK thrusts his ARM out at an oncoming VAMPIRE. The VAMPIRE turns to dust as a WOODEN STAKE goes back into RICK’S sleeve. [Rick Arnold] Rick embraces SAMANTHA.
RYAN is held at Gun Point. RYAN spars with BEN. [Dark Hunter as Ryan] RYAN’S hands glow and they produce lightning. RYAN throws a VAMPIRE into a BONFIRE.
BRAD blows a dust which begins to GLISTEN in mid air. BRAD stands on a stage holding a microphone. BRAD, BEN and PARA run down a hallway [And Brad as Bradley Giles] BRAD and DAC engage in a sword fight.
BEN and RIVER walk the streets of CHARGER CITY with their BLACK coats flapping in the wind as if they were capes.

FALCON’S CRYPT – MID-DAY
FALCON lies on top of a TOMB, sleeping.
RIVER opens the door to FALCON’S CRYPT
[Special Guest Star Mandee as Mandy]
FALCON shoots up from sleeping.
River: Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.
Falcon: It’s the middle of the day or for me to you, the middle of the night.
River: They got the shop opened.
Falcon: Did they?
River: Yeah. Ben wanted me to tell you on my way to school.
Falcon: That’s good.
River: Spell books upon spell books. Most of the inventory is from Mr. Giles’ store in Sunnydale.
Falcon: Okay. Well, don’t you have school to get getting to?
River: Oh, yeah. All work and no play…
[Guest Starring Aragorn as Shane]
[JP Junkee as Marty]
[PunkNerd as Joey Russo]
RIVER walked out of the CRYPT.
FALCON’S BODY morphed into THE HOST.
Host: A magic shop? I’m so there.
[Special Guest Star Kristine Sutherland as Jenny Summers]
THE HOST walked out of the CRYPT leaving the door open. FALCON crawled up from the basement of the CRYPT.
[SamFan as Samantha / Sam]
Falcon: Who left the bloody door open?
CHARGER CITY HIGH SCHOOL
RIVER walked on the front SIDEWALK entering the school when he bumped into JOEY.
[Labyrinth as Falcon]
Joey: Summers, listen.
River: Yeah?
Joey: I’m sorry.
River: We all make decide to do things we aren’t proud of.
Joey: After that attack, well, I just want to be able to help.
River: You’re more than welcome to help.
Joey: I just can’t be seen in public with you or Shane or the other one.
[And TobyCompy as Agent Compy]
River: Marty. I understand, you’re popularity is a big issue.
Joey: Who knows, maybe my friends will all die in some fiery apocalyptic death and I can start over.
River: You’re friends aren’t the ones that should be controlling you…it should be you behind the wheel.
SHANE and MARTY waved at RIVER as they were coming down the stairs.

River: See you later tonight Joey. My house, at 8, be there.
RIVER, SHANE, and MARTY walked off to their classes together.
CHARGER CITY HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY
BEN stood showing a lady around.
Ben: Now, no one is to get into this closet until I have it cleared out, which won’t be until later. It’s very important no one gets in this closet.
Lady: Okay. Closet will remain locked. You take the key.
Ben: Thank you. If you have any further questions, just call one of us at The Magic Box.
Lady: I despise anything about the occult.
Ben: We’re surrounded by it.
Lady: I know.
Ben: Aunt Jenny, there is nothing you can do to stop all this occult.
Jenny: I know, but you can, or you try. You always tried.
Ben: I still do.
Jenny: So how is that baby brother of yours?
Ben: Oh he’s grown up, Aunt Jenny. He’s so strong, so much like me.
Jenny: I’m trying so hard to remember him right now, but I can’t. I can only remember him as an infant. You and Becky took him away from me.
Ben: Aunt Jenny, we thought it would be best. We thought it would be best if we raised him to battle the things that surround us.
Jenny: I understand that Benjamin, but you corrupted him.
BEN’S eyes got wide.
Ben: Aunt Jenny, I don’t have the time to get back into arguments like this.
Jenny: But you made your mother put up with them and now look at where she is.
BEN’S EYES swelled with tears, but none came.
Ben: I have to go.
BEN walked out of the LIBRARY.
THE MAGIC BOX
TARA and MANDY stood behind the counter.
Tara: This is so exciting!
Mandy: It looks twenty times better than the one in Dansville!
The DOORBELL rang as the DOOR opened.
BEN walked in, still a little teary-eyed.
Tara: What’s wrong?
Mandy: How did your Aunt work out for the new job?
Ben: I’d rather not talk about it, please.
BEN walked back to the OFFICE.
Mandy: Did I say something?
Tara: Ben and his Aunt got into a big fight a few years ago, back during our senior year at Dansville High.
Mandy: What happened?
Tara: When Joan conceived River, she sent him to Jenny, Ben’s Aunt to watch him, but Ben felt it was a better move to protect River like a son. So he did, and his Aunt hated him and apparently still hates him today. She was such a nice lady to me and Ice.
Mandy: Were you guys over a lot?
Tara: Of course! We were the gang. We did the patrolling and the slaying with Ben and Becky would be there.
MANDY shuttered.
Tara: She was evil, Mandy. She didn’t mean to do it.
RICK ARNOLD walked into THE MAGIC BOX.
Rick: Girls! Girls!
MANDY and TARA ran to RICK and welcomed him with HUGS.
Mandy: How are you doing?
Rick: I’m okay, actually. I’ve been better, but we all know what that’s like. Hey, listen; I’m really pressed for time. I need a book.
Tara: What kind of book?
Rick: A time travel book, a book of spells with time travel spells. Got anything like it?
Tara: We have ‘Astral Projection Spells & You.’
Rick: Would that send someone or something back in time?
Tara: Yeah, well, sort of.
Rick: How sort of?
Tara: You would need an item to trap them into touching it. Once they touch the item, BOOM!
Rick: They blow up?
Tara: Back into time.
Mandy: It’s kind of like a ‘Time Travel Spells Book for Dummies,’ they set it up really easy for you to learn the spell and master it.
Rick: Wonderful…we’ll give that nasty jerk Dac a taste of his medicine, eh?
Mandy: Yes!
RICK walked out with the BOOK.
AFTER the DOOR closed, RICK’S BODY transformed into THE HOST
Host: So simple. Now the Slayer will be out of my way.
DAC tapped on THE HOST’S SHOULDER.
THE HOST turned around to see DAC holding a blaster.
Dac: Why don’t you clue me into your plan of getting rid of the Slayer?
COMMERCIAL
See how shiny The Magic Box looked? You guessed it. Windex helped make it shine!
THE ELITE HEADQUARTERS
PARA and RICK look around at the TROOPS. SAM works on healing some of the wounded.
Rick: We need to get supplies.
Para: Yeah, we need something more than regular food. We need super food, or magic or something.
Rick: Too bad there isn’t a magic shop downtown.
JESTER POCUS walked in front of RICK.
Jester: Sir, there is. The Magic Box. It opened two days ago.
Rick: Wasn’t that the name of the one in Dansville?
Para: Yeah. Perhaps Brad’s cousin is here in Charger City?
Rick: Perhaps. Para, Jester, come with me. We’ll go there and get supplies.
Sam: I’ll stay here…watch over.
Rick: Oh. Sam, stay here. Watch over the place.
BEN’S HOUSE
THE HOST formed his FINGER into the shape of a HOUSE KEY and unlocked the DOOR. He WALKED inside the house.
DAC followed behind with three of his TROOPS.
Dac: Check the upstairs, quietly.
THE HOST put his arm out and a YEARBOOK came into his hands from a BOOK SHELF in the LIVING ROOM.
Host: This. This is what we will use as our key to the portal. It will send him back to 1999, Dansville.
Dac: Very good. Very good indeed. I can see this new alliance we have made will be one of the best Charger City has ever seen.
THE HOST laid the book on the coffee table and started the ritual from the book he took from the MAGIC BOX.
THE MAGIC BOX
RICK opened the door and the bell on the door rang. PARA and JESTER followed behind him.
Rick: Girls! Girls!
TARA and MANDY looked up at him, but saw PARA and JESTER.
Tara: Oh my God! Para!
TARA ran over to PARA and welcomed her with a big hug. PARA accepted.
Para: How are you?
Tara: I’m fine, we’re fine.
Para: How is he doing?
BEN walked out from the BACK.
Ben: I’m fine.
Para: …Ben…
Ben: General Arnold, anything I can help you with?
Tara: Yeah, are you having problems with that spell book?
Rick: What spell book?
Ben: The one you just came and took from us. I have it on camera.
Rick: I wasn’t here at all earlier. I didn’t even know there was a Magic Shop downtown.
Ben: Perhaps you’d like to look at the video, then?
Rick: Yes.
RICK and BEN walked to the back office
TARA looked at PARA
Tara: He’s been doing really good, uh, well, without you.
Para: I’m sure he is. He’s strong. So much stronger than I could ever be.
BEN’S HOUSE
THE YEARBOOK produced a strange glow of glitter. The BOOK fell with a THUD onto the COFFEE TABLE.
Host: The spell has been cast, and I will need a place to seek refuge until the Slayer is gone.
Dac: Why is that?
Host: Because when the Slayer goes away, I can absorb a crystal that his Watcher carries, it’s the time honored tradition in the Watcher’s Council to carry this crystal. Once I absorb its energies, I will be untouchable…a God, if you will.
Dac: Then we shall leave.
DAC, THE HOST and DAC’S TROOPS walked out of BEN’S HOUSE, closing the door.
The HOST reshaped his finger into a KEY and locked the door.
The GROUP walked off towards the WEST, while on the EAST, SHANE, RIVER, and MARTY all headed down the sidewalk towards the HOUSE.
Shane: So you said there are pictures of the demon in the yearbook?
River: Yeah, it’s so sweet.
Marty: Awesome.
RIVER unlocked the house and the THREE boys filed into the LIVING ROOM, starring at the YEARBOOK.
River: Odd, I had it put away. Oh well.
RIVER picked it up and the THREE boys started to glance through it. The PAGES started to turn on their own and the THREE BOYS were sucked into the BOOK.
The BOOK dropped.

BEN’S OFFICE
BEN rewinds the tape and plays it again.
Rick: Wait. Look at that shadow on the outside, its changing height. The sun didn’t move or go behind a cloud, I’m sure of that.
Ben: The Host.
Rick: Who?
Ben: New big bad.
Rick: Worse than Dac?
Ben: I can’t believe those words actually formed a sentence…its Dac, Rick. How hard is it?
Rick: Pretty hard. It’s like he’s not himself.
Ben: Tara thought that too.
Rick: Listen, I want you to close the shop for a few days. We’ll double this. Maybe Dac and the Host or whoever is working together.
Ben: …and I will not eat them in a box, I will not eat them with a fox.
Rick: Huh?
Ben: You rhymed.
Rick: Oh.
BEN and RICK walked out of the office.
PARA and JESTER had their hands filled with BAGS.
Para: We’re ready to go, sir.
Rick: Right. Ben, good luck on your mission.
Ben: Same to you.
Para: Bye Ben.
Ben: Goodbye Para.
PARA, JESTER, and RICK all walked out of the MAGIC BOX.
Ben: Mandy, close down the register. Tara, get everything ready. We’re closing down for a few days.
Tara: Why?
Ben: I’ll explain at the house.
Tara: Okay.
BEN’S HOUSE
BEN, TARA and MANDY walked into the house.
Ben: We need to find River right away.
Tara: Who had the yearbook out?
Ben: Probably River…why?
TARA picked up the yearbook and was sucked into the pages.
Ben: TARA!!!!
BEN and MANDY looked at each other.
Mandy: What happened?
Ben: No time to ask questions.
BEN grabbed MANDY by the arm and they both grabbed onto the BOOK. BOTH of them were sucked into the YEARBOOK.
DANSVILLE 1999
BEN and MANDY landed ONTOP of an OUTDOOR PICNIC TABLE, BEN on TOP of MANDY, so it looks like a SEXUAL POSITION.
TARA pulled BEN off, as a crowd of STUDENTS were laughing.
Ben: Tara?
Tara: I don’t think we’re in Hell anymore…
Ben: No…you’re wrong…we’re back.
BEN looked at a giant banner saying “DANSVILLE HIGH GRADUATION IN 3 DAYS!”
