Slayer - 5x14 - Scythe Matters

River: Previously, on Slayer…
RIVER started swinging, but the blows were just cutting the DEMON open.
The DEMON flicked its fingers at RIVER and RIVER flew through a TREE, leaving him knocked unconscious.
The DEMON started charging towards the SCRAPPY GANG – until a HIGH PITCHED SCREAM came from the DEMON –
When the DEMON turned around a FAMILIAR AXE was thrown into its BACK.
BEN jumped from a CRYPT TOP and charged at the DEMON as it was wailing in PAIN.
BEN jumped onto the BEAK of the DEMON and flipped backwards over the DEMON’S BODY, pulling his SCYTHE from its BACK.
BEN ran forward and SLICED its HEAD OFF.
The DEMON dusted like a HUGE VAMPIRE.
Ryan: Nice of you to come back and join us.
PARA stomped on THE CLOAKED FIGURE’S foot and elbowed him in his stomach and reversed the HOLD on to him.
FALCON tore off the CLOAK – revealing MAYOR BOB KLINE.
He back handed PARA and leapt down to BEN.
Bob: You can’t stop me. You know that, right?
Ben: I will stop you. You know that, right?
DEVIN SUMMERS leapt from a tree behind BOB – unheard.
DEVIN started to sneak up on BOB.
Bob: And without him…you’re nothing.
BOB swung his HOOK backwards connecting with DEVIN.
DEVIN looked in shock at BOB and then at BEN.
Ben: No!
Devin: I’m dying…
Ben: No you’re not.
Devin: I’ve chased him all over and our battles ended here…but you will pick up for me son. Don’t make it personal.
BEN looked confused.
Devin: With that scythe, you have the power to reshape the world. Use it and its magical power wisely.
BOB’S SHIP
Cabin Boy: Sir! The Slayer, they’ve taken one of our ships and taking out pirates on the land. We’re under attack!
Bob: Get this ship moving towards the portal!
Cabin Boy: Aye, sir!
BOB looked at the reanimating corpses. He then looked out the porthole, clearly looking at Ben.
Bob: You’d best be hopin’ that no cannon’s come blowing through here ruining my process…or you’ll surely be walking the plank.
SHORE
RICK, SAM, TOBY and the rest of the SCRAPPY GANG file into the LONG BOATS and row out to the now stolen ship, captained by BEN.
As the BOATS got next to the LARGE SHIP, the SCRAPPY GANG started boarding the SHIP.
BOB’S SHIP had already started to take off.
Ben: Open the sails and follow them!
As the CAMERA pulled back showing the SHIP opening its sails and taking off into the WIND, we see on shore TWO GHOSTLY FIGURES holding each other by the waist.
Joan: There they go…
Devin: And a battle will be fought on land and on sea, and the Slayer will face the ultimate sacrifice with the Scythe.
Joan: I just hope he’s ready.
JOAN and DEVIN disappeared
CHARGER CITY BAY – SAME NIGHT
BOB KLINE’S PIRATE SHIP sailed ahead, but the one STOLEN by BEN was not far off.
BOB’S SHIP
BOB stood below deck, watching his creations come back to LIFE.
GLASS was the first to be fully animated and he approached BOB.
Glass: I haven’t a clue where I am, but you look very familiar, sir.
Bob: It is I, Mayor Bob Kline of Charger City.
Glass: Oh.
Bob: You are here to do my bidding. Do you remember Ben Summers?
Glass: That was the Slayer. My creature, Falcon Glick…
Bob: Falcon Glick is no more. He is merely Falcon. He has a soul.
Glass: Oh my.
PAYNE raised to his feet.
Payne: I’m back.
Bob: You’re the one I’ve been waiting for.
PAYNE threw a ball of LIGHTNING at BOB. The BALL bounced off of BOB and back onto PAYNE. PAYNE fell down hard.
Payne: How did you do that?
Bob: I am in charge, boys. I am Bob Kline – the biggest, baddest, ultimate evil you will ever get to know.
CLARK GABLE and SHANE GUPTOM stood up.
Bob: You are my Four Horsemen. The Slayer and all of his friends have stolen another ship like this and are right on our sails. We must get aboard that ship and kill the Slayer and all his friends once and for all. Do you all understand?
Four Horsemen: Yes.
Bob: Use what powers you have and take them out, but be cautious. He’s destroyed you all once, so he could do it again. I’ve mixed my blood with yours, hopefully you’ll be able to withstand some more pain.
THE FOUR HORSEMEN HEADED UP TO THE MAIN DECK. MIKEYMIKE stepped forward.
Mike: Sir?
Bob: Yes?
Mike: What about this one?
BOB looked at the FIFTH TABLE…with another DEAD BODY.
Bob: Leave THAT Slayer here. Prepare the ritual to open the portal.
Mike: Yes, sir.
FADE TO OPENING CREDITS
A night scene from above downtown Charger City – the word “SLAYER” appears.
BEN dives through a window and pulls out a crossbow with a flaming arrow on the end. He releases the trigger and hits a VAMPIRE which explodes into dust. [Starring Ben] BEN and RIVER fight back-to-back against hordes of vampires.
BRAD is thrown forward by an explosion.
PARA throws a blue glowing orb at a DEMON. She dances with BEN at a NIGHTCLUB. PARA and DAC face each other down. [Para girl] PARA glares in rage at BEN.
SHANE and MARTY begin to whisper a chant.
RIVER walks into his high school, greeted by SHANE and MARTY. RIVER punches DAC in the face, knocking him backwards. [Jedi A. Malcolm] VAMPIRES surround RIVER, he spins around with a sword, decapitating them all as they turn to dust.
RIVER dives at some UberVamps in rage.
TARA looks through her books of spells. TARA kisses MANDY on the lips. [JP3 Girl] TARA’S body splits in too DARK MAGIC and LIGHT MAGIC. Tara fires an electric blue beam at a DEMON.
BOB KLINE laughs uncontrollably.
RYAN is held at gunpoint. RYAN spars with BEN. [Dark Hunter] RYAN’S hands glow and they produce lightning. RYAN throws a DEMON onto a pike.
FALCON pulls JOEY up from the GROUND, as a HUGE SNAKE whips by. FALCON spin kicks at THE HOST and follows through with a punch [Labyrinth]
MANDY’S EYES turned BLACK as she produced FIRE FROM HER HANDS. MANDY runs in a GRAVEYARD, carrying a sword, slicing at VAMPIRES. [Mandee] MANDY and TARA hug.
THE HOST and BEN battle on top of a building, exchanging many punches. BOB KLINE and THE HOST morph into other people. [And The Host] THE HOST and MAJESTIC engage in a sword fight.
BEN and RIVER walk the streets of CHARGER CITY with their BLACK coats flapping in the wind as if they were capes. On the screen - [Series Created by Ben Smythe]

BEN’S SHIP
BEN and THE HOST sat across from each other in the CAPTAINS SUITE.
[Special Guest Star The Host]
[Special Guest Star Bob as Mayor Bob Kline]
Ben: So this portal, he’s opening it soon?
Matt: That’s right.
Ben: And it will take him back to when?
Matt: A girl Slayer once stabbed a man thinking he was a vampire…
Ben: I’ve heard this story. Clark Gable was the man she murdered.
Matt: Right – well, apparently he can end the Slayer line by that death.
Ben: How so? She’d still die and a Slayer would be activated.
Matt: With no council there to decide on the Slayer…
Ben: He’s going to take out the Council?
Matt: Why not? They’d be more than vulnerable. They would never see this attack coming.
Ben: Very true.
Matt: But I must remind you – none of the Council you’re used to are alive at this point. But they might know you.
BEN grabbed his SCYTHE.
Ben: Does this still have a weakness on you?
MATT flinched.
[Guest Starring Aragorn as Shane]
[JP Junkee as Marty]
[PunkNerd as Joey Russo]
Matt: No.
BEN placed the SCYTHE in MATT’S LAP. MATT started to pass out.
BEN pulled the SCYTHE from MATT’S LAP.
Ben: You’re no good to me weak. I’ll have this thing out a lot.
BEN picked up a small knife and cut his and MATT’S PALMS open.
BEN slowly placed his HAND into THE HOST’S. Their HANDS locked around each other.
A SMALL GOLDEN LIGHT shocked through the both of them.

Ben [Telepathic]: You may be strong, but you don’t have this blood. This is Slayer’s Blood – run from a family and through the generations a Slayer is born. One child in all the world, they alone will stop the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. They are the Slayer Line.
Matt [Telepathic]: Why are you sharing this with me?
Ben [Telepathic]: Because I trust you. I need you to take care things if something should happen to me.
Matt [Telepathic]: And I will. I will protect your brother and your lovely girl. I will honor your family’s name and protect your friends.
Ben [Telepathic]: I trust you.
The GOLDEN light shocked through AGAIN but faded.
BEN and THE HOST pulled their hands away – both men a little out of breath. BEN looked at his hand.
Ben: You bleed green.
BEN starred in amazement at the GREEN BLOOD that THE HOST produced.
Ben: I’ve cut you so many times and it was red!
Matt: It was red because Bob made me that much weaker…with the power and trust you’ve given me – I’m myself again.
BEN nodded at THE HOST.

[Majestic1 as Majestic]
Ben: I have to go.
BEN started towards the door.
Host: I know you’ll never forgive me. You must think I’m a monster – but you make me a better man.
BEN looked at THE HOST and smiled, then he walked up to the MAIN DECK.
MAIN DECK
[Icebreaker as Ice]

RIVER stood on the edge of the SHIP, looking at CHARGER CITY as started to disappear out of view.
BEN walked over to RIVER – but RIVER knew BEN was there.
[And Colin Liddle as Toby “Compy” Smith]
River: Why are we leaving so soon?
Ben: We can’t let Bob escape.
River: I know that. But Ben, we just moved into Charger City. We’ve been there for one year! And now we have to leave. Are we just going to be living on this Pirate Ship the rest of our lives?
BEN placed his ARM around RIVER.
[Big surprise here…Episode written and directed by Ben Smythe]
Ben: No. When we are finished, we will return.
River: Where were you?
Ben: What?
River: The past week when you were in ‘hiding’ – where were you really? Because if I didn’t know any better, that was the Ben-Bot.
Ben: It wasn’t the Ben-Bot and I don’t want anyone else to know about this. Becky showed me to a dimension where this Scythe was at. There, I learned it’s power and strength and how to harness it.
River: I’m a Slayer now – and you can’t tell me what it’s strength is?
Ben: I didn’t want you to go. I never wanted this for you. I love you, and I want a different life for you.
River: Yeah, well guess what. This is my life. You’re not controlling it. I am.
Ben: I know. That’s why I decided the way I did.
BEN pulled the SCYTHE from his BACKHOLSTER. He HANDED the SCYTHE to RIVER.
Ben: Hold on tight.
The SCYTHE started to GLOW and it sent a PULSE through the SHIP – and eventually shocked through the WHOLE WORLD. Everything around them was BLACK AND WHITE. They were the only two MOVING.
BEN and RIVER started to walk around the SHIP.
River: Where are we?
Oracle: In a place only Slayer’s can enter.
River: Where’d that come from?
THE ORACLE appeared. It was in the form of BUFFY SUMMERS. She wore very GODDESS-LIKE clothes.
Oracle: Ben, you’ve returned with a new Slayer?
Ben: He wanted to learn of the Scythe.
Oracle: Is he up for the trials that you did?
River: I am ready.
Oracle: I asked your brother.
Ben: He thinks he is. But as you saw – I wasn’t even ready.
Oracle: Would you like to accompany him?
Ben: Yes I would.
BEN handed RIVER the SCYTHE.
AN ISLAND came up from the BOTTOM OF THE LAKE.
River: How are we supposed to get there?
BEN pushed RIVER over the side of the ship – and RIVER landed ON TOP of the WATER.
River: What the hell?!
Ben: Time and everything around us is still.
BEN jumped down and WALKED across the LAKE with RIVER to the ISLAND.
BEN pulled a WOODEN STAKE from his BELT. They started to walk on the BEACH.
Ben: I remember this.
UP FROM the SAND – a HUGE DEMON AROSE. The DEMON back HANDED RIVER and sent him flying.
Ben: River – you’ve got to get up and fight this. I’ve already done this.
RIVER leapt to his feet and picked up the SCYTHE.
River: It’s made out of sand! How can I defeat it?
Ben: Think, River. Think.
RIVER lured the DEMON out to the WATER – but RIVER was actually going into the water this time.
River: What’s happening?
Ben: You’re restoring time – it’s okay. You’re doing it right.
The DEMON charged at RIVER, but once it hit the water, it FROZE. RIVER leapt up from the LAKE and SLICED the DEMON’S HEAD off with the SCYTHE.
The DEMON died and a huge pile of SAND formed. The BEACH and the WATER returned to normal color.
River: I don’t know how much I like this Demon Fun House.
Just as River spoke, an ARMY of VAMPIRES appeared.
Ben: Here I can help. The Oracle helped me.
The ARMY charged at BEN and RIVER – but the TWO SLAYER brothers proved to be much more powerful than the VAMPIRES.
RIVER swung the SCYTHE and DECAPITATED TEN VAMPIRES in one SWIFT BLOW.
He FLUNG the SCYTHE around to the sharp end, which was a WOODEN STAKE.
He started STAKING VAMPIRES left and right.
Before they realized it – there was nothing but a bunch of VAMPIRE DUST around them.
The SUN broke free of it’s HOLD and started to shine on the ISLAND.
RIVER and BEN entered a TEMPLE and climbed to the MAIN CHAMBER.
The DOOR LOCKED behind them and BOB KLINE appeared.
River: Bob.
Ben: This didn’t happen last time.
Bob: Oh come, come. Did you really think you were the only one who could channel the Oracle?
Ben: How did you get here. You have no Scythe…
Bob: No – but I have your friend’s dead body on my ship. So by mixing his blood with mine – I’m here.
River: Why is it always blood?
FALCON walked up behind RIVER.
Falcon: Blood is the circle of life. It makes you warm, it makes you cold, it makes you feel.
Bob: How is he here?
Falcon: Fed off a few Slayers in my non-soul days, mate.
Bob: Ben, you really don’t think you can stop me, do you?
Ben: I don’t ever think. I act irrationally. So if by taking you out, I, or anyone else dies – so be it.
Bob: Then, prepare to die.
BOB pulled a very UNIQUE SWORD from his waist
The Oracle: Ben, he has breeched the mystic forces protecting this realm…only you can destroy him.
River: Why not me?
Oracle: You’re not this realms champion…Ben has already proven his worth.
River: Then it’s my turn.
Ben: River, no!
RIVER ran out at BOB with the SCYTHE pulled forward.
The sound of metal banging against metal was heard as the battle between BOB and RIVER began.
BOB forced the SCYTHE against RIVER, holding him back –
Bob: I remember when you were just an infant. Then big sis used that spell and turned you into a teenager. You’ve missed out on the fun times in your life – and now you’re about to die.
River: There’s one thing you don’t know, Bob.
Bob: And what’s that?
RIVER forced the SCYTHE upward, ramming the handle right into BOB’S NOSE and sending him on his ass to the ground.
River: I’m not a kid anymore.
BOB’S fists started to glow and he hit the ground. THOUSANDS of SKELETONS arose from the ground.
THE ORACLE FROZE TIME. She moved to BEN and UNFROZE JUST HIM.
Oracle: The Scythe will call for you. When it does, you will be stripped of your powers. It is the final test. I risk it all warning you.
Ben: Final test? What final test?
Oracle: Into every generation, a Slayer is born.
Ben: I know this…
Oracle: Then you must understand why you will be stripped of your power. The Powers That Be will return them when they feel it necessary.
Ben: What will happen to them?
Oracle: That is for them to decide. They all support you.
Ben: What will I do if I defeat Bob?
Oracle: Only you will know. Now – you must help your brother.
THE ORACLE UNFROZE TIME
BEN ran into the middle of the FIGHT. He grabbed BOB’S arm that held the SWORD and forced it onto his knee, making BOB drop the SWORD. BEN followed through with an ELBOW into BOB’S stomach, sending BOB to go forward. BEN then thrust his arm up, connecting it to BOB’S face as he was hunched over. BOB jolted back up into a standing position.
BEN paused and looked at BOB.
RIVER started taking the SCYTHE and attacking the SKELETON DEMONS.
BOB staggered away.
Bob: You don’t what it’s like Slayer…you’ll never know.
Ben: I’ll never know what?
Bob: What it’s like to be normal. I had that that and you never will. You’ve always been different and you will always want to be different but not in the way that you are. You’re powers are burdens to you…
BOB continued walking away, backwards.
Bob: You’re witch friends; you don’t know what it’s like for them…and your vampire friends, well I don’t even know what its like to be them.
FALCON grabbed BOB by his shoulders and held him tight. FALCON’S face morphed into VAMPIRE like.
Falcon: You will soon.
FALCON lunged into BOB’S neck as his mouth opened.
BEN started helping RIVER take down the ARMY of ZOMBIE SKELETONS.
RIVER saw a tunnel open up.
River: Ben! Come on!
Ben: You go ahead, we’ll be right behind you.
BEN swung his arms, sending a few ZOMBIES back.
RIVER dove to the tunnel and slid through it – it was like it were a portal right back to the boat as he landed on the deck.
FALCON continued to feed off of BOB.
BEN pulled them apart and pulled FALCON with him to the TUNNEL.
BOB’S body fell to the ground, motionless.
FALCON and BEN appeared on the SHIP.
BEN looked at FALCON.
Ben: I don’t understand why you followed us, or how…
Falcon: I can explain…
Ben: But I appreciate it.
FALCON looked up at BEN, a little surprised. For once in his entire existence – a noble deed from such a heinous vampire is now being rewarded.
Ben: It’s good to know that if something should ever happen to me, you would take care of my brother.
Falcon: I would die for your brother.
BEN started to walk towards his ROOM on the SHIP.
Falcon: I would even die for you.
BEN turned around and looked at FALCON.
BEN nodded.
Ben: Goodnight, Falcon.
BEN walked into his ROOM…FALCON just starred at the closing door – releasing a smile.
