Slayer - 5x09 - Journey

BLACK SCREEN
A WHITE DOT fades in and out across the screen, accompanied by “The James Bond Theme,” by Monty Norman.
As the WHITE DOT fades off to the right, it comes back to the left, a bit larger with a MAN wearing a TUXEDO.
The MAN stops at the middle of the screen and fires a shot from his GUN as he turns to face towards the screen – it’s SECRET AGENT TOBY COMPY.
RED “BLOOD” pours down the screen.
The RED CIRCLE shakes left and right and then expands to a larger scene.
CHARGER CITY BANK – HIGH OFFICES – MID DAY
DEVIN SUMMERS sits across from JENNY SUMMERS.
The both of them had been sitting in silence for some time.
Devin: I think one of us should explain something before the other one dies.
Jenny: Why are you here?
Devin: Why aren’t you in Dansville?
Jenny: Nobody else stayed, so I joined the crowd and ran.
Devin: Leaving my two sons to fend for their lives.
Jenny: Ben seemed quite capable of taking care of himself and River. Besides, he was always out at night in the graveyard. I hated the fact he did that. I wanted him and River to grow up away from being a Slayer, like their father.
DEVIN looked at JENNY.
Devin: You can’t escape destiny. It will always follow.
Jenny: How did you do it?
Devin: Do what?
Jenny: How did you survive?
Devin: To tell you the truth, I really don’t know. It was hard. The things they did, the things I saw…it’s enough to make a blind man cry.
Jenny: I’m sorry Devin.
Devin: For what?
Jenny: Well, a lot of things, but right now I’m sorry, but you have to go – I have to get back to work.
Devin: Oh, right. Sorry. We’ll catch up some other time.
Jenny: We will.
Devin: I love you, sis.
DEVIN got up out of his seat and walked towards the door. As he closed the door, JENNY sank in her chair and started to cry.
CHARGER CITY BANK – MAIN FLOOR
DEVIN walked towards the doors and bumped into THREE MEN wearing black bandana’s, cut shorts and RED & WHITE striped SHIRTS.
Devin: Is the circus in town?
THE THREE MEN glared at DEVIN.
Devin: Aye, aye matey’s.
DEVIN saluted them and LEFT the BANK.
Pirate #1: Now remember the plan, he said don’t screw this up or he’ll make us walk the plank.
The PIRATES pulled out their old fashioned PISTOLS and performed a stick-up.
CHARGER CITY BANK – SIDE OFFICE
A BANK MANAGER stopped talking to his client and paid attention to the scene outside of his office.
THE CLIENT rose up from his seat.
Client: If you’ll excuse me, I’ve been expecting this.
THE CLIENT pulled out a HANDGUN from his coat.
The MANAGER was shocked and fainted.
By now, we can tell the CLIENT was TOBY COMPY.
TOBY walked out of the office and placed the SILENCER on his GUN. TOBY rolled underneath a counter, he aimed at one of the PIRATES knees and shot, taking him out.
The Other TWO PIRATES were confused and quickly ran out of the BANK.
As they RAN OUT, DEVIN leapt from a BUSH behind them and LEG-SWIPPED them to the ground. One of the PIRATES leapt back up and tried to RUN, but DEVIN pulled him and pummeled him.
Devin: Who sent you?
Pirate: He’ll kill me.
Devin: And you think I won’t?
The PIRATE spit at DEVIN. DEVIN pulled a KNIFE from his waist and jammed it into the PIRATE’S LEG.
Pirate: Okay!! Okay! I’ll tell you!
Devin: Who?
Pirate: He goes by the name ‘Hook.’
Devin: You’ve got to be kidding me.
Pirate: Seriously.
Devin: Freaking Captain Hook is here?! Yeah, and I’m the Queen of England!
DEVIN round-house kicked the PIRATE to the ground.
LATER THAT NIGHT –
CHARGER CITY GRAVEYARD
BEN stood outside of a grave with FALCON.
Falcon: ...And they said “Captain Hook?”
BEN and FALCON bust out with laughter.
Ben: Excuse my laughter, but trying to get serious now. You’ve been around for a long time. Is Captain Hook real?
Falcon: As in the Neverland Captain Hook, no. Just a fable. However, there was a nasty pirate named Hook that sailed the Atlantic Ocean and terrorized children. He was orphaned and so he was very angry with all children.
BEN thought for a second.
Ben: Do you think that’s who we’re dealing with?
Falcon: No, he was killed by a few friends of mine.
Ben: Really? Was he vamped?
Falcon: Not that I know of, but had he been given the chance to, he’d be a nasty vampire.
THE EARTH by the TOMBSTONE started to loosen.
Falcon: You ready?
BEN pulled a WOODEN STAKE out.
Ben: You betcha.
THE VAMPIRE rose from the EARTH.
FALCON charged at the VAMPIRE, but the VAMPIRE threw FALCON back. FALCON smashed his head through a CROSS TOMBSTONE.
BEN looked at the VAMPIRE, a little in awe at its strength.
Vampire: My name is Bruce.
Ben: My name is Ben…the Vampire Slayer.
Vampire: The Slayer is a male now?
Ben: Well, Buffy’s been a little busy. I’m plan B.
The VAMPIRE looked at BEN, then his face MORPHED into a VAMPIRE, releasing a growl.
BEN spin-kicked the VAMPIRE but it didn’t even faze BRUCE.
BEN followed through with MANY PUNCHES to BRUCE’S FACE. BRUCE just laughed.
Ben: What the hell?
BRUCE punched BEN and sent him FLYING. BRUCE started walking in the area BEN flew.
BEN landed on the ground hard, with a sickening SNAP.
BEN looked at his arm – he knocked his shoulder out.
BRUCE picked BEN up and started to lower his teeth to BEN’S NECK.
BLACK OUT
OPENING CREDITS
A Zoom in of Charger City at night. “SLAYER” appears in red text. Scenes of BEN, RIVER and PARA all armed with stakes, facing down some vampires.
BEN dives through a window and pulls out a crossbow with a flaming arrow on the end. He releases the trigger and hits a VAMPIRE which explodes into dust. [Starring Ben] BEN and RIVER fight back-to-back against hordes of vampires.
BRAD is thrown forward by an explosion.
PARA throws a blue glowing orb at a DEMON. She dances with BEN at a NIGHTCLUB. PARA and DAC face each other down. [Para girl] PARA glares in rage at BEN.
SHANE and MARTY begin to whisper a chant.
RIVER walks into his high school, greeted by SHANE and MARTY. RIVER punches DAC in the face, knocking him backwards. [Jedi A. Malcolm] VAMPIRES surround RIVER, he spins around with a sword, decapitating them all as they turn to dust.
RIVER dives at some UberVamps in rage.
TARA looks through her books of spells. TARA kisses MANDY on the lips. [JP3 Girl] TARA’S body splits in too DARK MAGIC and LIGHT MAGIC. Tara fires an electric blue beam at a DEMON.
BOB KLINE laughs uncontrollably.
RYAN is held at gunpoint. RYAN spars with BEN. [Dark Hunter] RYAN’S hands glow and they produce lightning. RYAN throws a DEMON onto a pike.
FALCON pulls JOEY up from the GROUND, as a HUGE SNAKE whips by. FALCON spin kicks at THE HOST and follows through with a punch [Labyrinth]
MAJESTIC rams a STAKE through a VAMPIRE and it turns to dust. BEN and MAJESTIC battle with THE HOST. [Majestic1] MAJESTIC pummels the HOST with a SLEDGE HAMMER.
MANDY’S EYES turned BLACK as she produced FIRE FROM HER HANDS. MANDY runs in a GRAVEYARD, carrying a sword, slicing at VAMPIRES. [Mandee] MANDY and TARA hug.
THE HOST and BEN battle on top of a building, exchanging many punches. BOB KLINE and THE HOST morph into other people. [And The Host] THE HOST and MAJESTIC engage in a sword fight.
BEN and RIVER walk the streets of CHARGER CITY with their BLACK coats flapping in the wind as if they were capes. On the screen - [Series Created by Ben Smythe]
COMMERCIAL
CHARGER CITY GRAVEYARD – SAME NIGHT
FALCON laid unconscious from the hard blow from BRUCE.
BRUCE started to sink his teeth into BEN’S NECK when he was THROWN OFF.
A WOMAN wearing very TIGHT BLACK CLOTHES attacked the VAMPIRE.
[Special Guest Star The Host]
[Special Guest Star Pierce Bronson as Don Summers]
Her BLONDE HAIR fell free in the wind.
The WOMAN bounced off of a TOMBSTONE and met the VAMPIRE with TWO FLYING-KICKS and in mid-air, flipped backwards landing on her feet.
BRUCE was stunned.
Bruce: Now that’s a Slayer if I’ve ever seen one.
Woman: Sorry, not the Slayer…just a God.
The WOMAN walked into light – it was BECKY!
Bruce: What the?
BECKY extended her arm and FIRE flew from her fingertips. BRUCE was embedded in FLAMES and exploded into DUST.

[Yvonne as Michelle]
BECKY, looking extremely sexy, walked over to the FALLEN BEN.
BECKY pulled BEN up.
Ben: Don’t touch me.
Becky: I’m not here for that.
Ben: No. I know you’re not. I’m ashamed.
Becky: No, don’t be. We knew this time would come.
Ben: What time is that?
Becky: When the weapon that would change your fate was introduced to you.
Ben: You know where it is?
Becky: You’ve held it, that’s why you’ve lost your power. And since you don’t have it anymore, your power is gone.
Ben: So I’m not the Slayer anymore?
Becky: You are, just easier to kill.
Ben: I’ve never been easy to kill, you should know that.
[Beck-Why as Becky]
BEN and BECKY looked at each other. BEN placed his hand into BECKY’S and they walked.
CHARGER CITY – DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK
BEN and BECKY continue to walk hand in hand.
[And Tobycompy2.0 as Secret Agent Toby Compy]
Becky: You’ve been doing very good.
Ben: I’ve been trying.
Becky: I don’t mean to be here too long. I’m here to tell you that it’s time you go on your journey.
Ben: My journey?
Becky: Every Slayer must embark on this journey.
Ben: With the gang, it’ll be a piece of cake.
Becky: Alone.
Ben: No friends?
Becky: No friends.
Ben: No phone, no lights…
Becky: No motor car, not a single luxury.
Ben: Damn it!
Becky: Someone is here to take care of things while you’re away. You should go now.
Ben: But how will I know?
Becky: You will know. I will guide you…but you must leave.
BEN and BECKY embraced each other and made out.

PARA stood behind a NEWSPAPER stand, hidden and watching.
[Characters that died in this episode are mourned by You] (haha, we joke!)
“BEN” came up from behind her.
Ben: That dick.
PARA kept watching.
CHARGER CITY MARINA
A huge, very old style PIRATE SHIP sat harbored on the shore.
PIRATE-style music was being played as the PIRATES danced around.
MATT MCGUIRE stood out like a sore thumb in that crowd. He walked towards a DOOR and opened it, allowing himself in.
THE HOST looked at the CHAIR that was facing away from him.
Matt: You called?
Voice: I need you to take care of something for me.
Matt: Yes?
Voice: A man attacked my men today. Very well trained. Kill him.
Matt: Yes, sir.
Voice: And Matt?
Matt: Yes?
Voice: Kill him a lot.
Matt: Yes, sir.
MATT walked out of the ROOM and left the BOAT.
THE HOST walked past a bar where a MAN stood leaning against the WALL.
Man: Going somewhere so fast?
Host: I don’t suggest you talk to me.
Man: Oh really? Why is that?
Host: I could kill you faster than you could blink.
Man: Not if I killed you first.
THE HOST stopped and turned around – only to be CLOBBERED in the face with a SLEDGE HAMMER.
MAJESTIC ripped off the overcoat and hat he was wearing and continued to pummel THE HOST.
MAJESTIC was being relentless.
THE HOST kept trying to block, but failed each time.
THE BRONZE
RIVER, MICHELLE, JOEY and the more popular kids were out dancing with each other, just having a good time.
RIVER and MICHELLE were with each other, just smiling at each other while holding each other.
DOWNTOWN CHARGER CITY
BEN walked towards an alley. BECKY hovered above him.
Becky: When you walk through there, this world will fall apart.
Ben: I’m not going through there then!
Becky: No, it will freeze and you will still be here. As a God I have the power to create any scenario I want. This is what’s going to happen; pending things don’t change before you jump through.
BEN looked surprised.
Becky: When you walk through there, River and his friends will form a new group and will over throw the Scrappy Gang. Ryan, Tara, Mandy, Falcon and Toby will take care of the Scrappy Gang until you return.
Ben: Why will River overthrow me?
Becky: Majestic will die. River is the next in line. That is something you can’t prevent.
Ben: Damn it. I don’t want that for him.
Becky: I know, but what’s come to pass will come to pass. The Powers That Be arranged it.
Ben: The rest of your plan?
Becky: Even though you are really gone, a body and mind that is identical to you will remain and keep them content – but incase things got weird I arranged for your double to disappear for a while and stay out of sight.
BEN looked at BECKY.
Ben: You didn’t mention Para.
Becky: She will be fine. I promise.
Ben: Okay.
BEN kissed BECKY once more and started down the alley – THE ALLEY started to GLOW and BEN WAS sucked into another DIMENSION.
THE ALLEY stopped glowing.
CHARGER CITY DOCKS
THE HOST kicked MAJESTIC off of him and started his onslaught.
THE BRONZE
As everyone was dancing, a GROUP of VAMPIRES overtake the STAGE.
RIVER, JOEY and MICHELLE, typically, are the only ones left near the stage – everyone else has fled to the back.
The THREE of them readied themselves.
CHARGER CITY DOCKS
THE HOST picked up the SLEDGE HAMMER and started to ram it into MAJESTIC. Even as a SLAYER, MAJESTIC did not have the strength and quickness to heal like THE HOST.
THE HOST picked MAJESTIC up by the NECK. MAJESTIC’S FEET dangled by THE HOST’S THIGHS.
MAJESTIC gagged for air.
Host: You’ve been in a pain in my ass for sometime. Now that time is over.
THE HOST smashed his arm forward, SNAPPING MAJESTIC’S NECK.
MAJESTIC fell (slow-motion).
THE BRONZE
Mid-Battle, JOEY is holding two of the 6 off. MICHELLE is in VAMP mode and has two others cornered.
RIVER is battling with the other TWO –
CHARGER CITY DOCKS
MAJESTIC’S BODY hit the floor…but for good measure, THE HOST snapped one end of THE SLEDGE, making a HUGE WOODEN STAKE.
THE HOST rammed the STAKE through MAJESTIC’S heart. BLOOD oozed from the wound.
Host: Odd…Slayer’s don’t go “poof.”
THE BRONZE
A YELLOW/GOLDEN LIGHT hit RIVER and his punches onto THE VAMPIRES became STRONGER…much more like his brothers.
RIVER was faster and more agile as he flipped backwards and followed through with two high kicks.
JOEY threw a STAKE at RIVER and without looking RIVER caught it and rammed the stake through the VAMPS. The remaining four started to flee.
MICHELLE pulled out a hand-crossbow from her bag and took her two VAMPS out.
RIVER and JOEY threw their WOODEN STAKES at the other two fleeing VAMPS and DUSTED THEM.
RIVER looked shocked…as did the crowd.
Joey: Uhhh…
Michelle: That was just … err…
River: Nothing to see here people, go about your business.
The THREE of them ran out, avoiding everyone they could.
OUTSIDE of the BRONZE
RIVER, JOEY and MICHELLE looked at each other, puzzled.
Joey: What the hell? I mean you just became Super River or something!
River: I don’t know what it was, just out of nowhere, I was given more power.
MICHELLE looked at RIVER.
Michelle: Does this mean you’re going to kill me now?
River: Huh? Why would I kill you?
Michelle: You’re the Slayer.
RIVER’S eyes got wide and his jaw dropped.
River: How do you know?
Michelle: It’s an instinct us Vampires have, much of that of The Slayer. You can find Vampires like hotcakes and we know the Slayer just by seeing him or her.
JOEY walked over to RIVER.
Joey: Well, I mean, think of it this way, Football will never be the same.
River: This changes everything. Rally the troops…things are changing.
RIVER started to walk down the street, followed by MICHELLE and JOEY
MR. HUNT stepped out in front of RIVER, and all three of them stopped.
Mr. Hunt: River Summers…you must come with me immediately.
River: Mr. Hunt? Why?
Mr. Hunt: There isn’t any time to loose.
River: Time for what?
Mr. Hunt: Time to stop the killing. Time to stop the Vampires.
RIVER looked at him.
River: What, are you like my Watcher or something?
MR. HUNT looked very confused.
Mr. Hunt: Yes…how do you know of your destiny?
River: For a Watcher, you don’t know much of my family.
THE FOUR of THEM walked towards THE MAGIC BOX together.
