Falcon - 1x05 - Lifeless In Seattle

SEATTLE – FALCON’S OFFICE, SAME EVENING
PARA continued to clean the LOBBY.
FALCON and AMBER walked out of his office.
Falcon: Don’t even bother, Para.
Para: I have to try.
Falcon: Don’t worry about it…
Para: Why?
Falcon: We’re leaving.
Para: What?
Falcon: Seattle is too far away.
Para: But the demons, the vampires?
Falcon: They’re everywhere – but this isn’t where I need to be.
Para: Hey! As your contact to the Powers That Be, I’ll tell you where we need to be…
PARA looked around…
Para: And here is probably not where they want us.
Falcon: We’re heading back to California.
Para: Where? Please not Charger City. Ben’s there.
Falcon: No, and Ben is the least of my concerns.
Para: Good.
Amber: Where ARE we going, Falcon?
Falcon: To the Hell-mouth…
PARA and AMBER both looked at FALCON.
In a flash, they rolled into a town, with a huge welcome sign inside FALCON’S CAR.
The camera panned off the car and focused on the SIGN –
“WELCOME TO DANSVILLE – DEMON CAPITAL OF THE WORLD”
BLACK OUT TO OPENING CREDITS
LIGHTNING STRIKES as “How Soon Is Now” or the theme from “Charmed” starts.
The word ‘FALCON’ appears in front of the MOON.
ZOOM into the SEATTLE SPACE NEEDLE, showing FALCON on top.
FALCON rams a wooden stake through a VAMPIRE.
FALCON walks through an underground tunnel, changing into his DARK CLOTHES, throwing his OVERCOAT on slowly.
FALCON’S FACE morphs into VAMPIRE-MODE.
FALCON pulls a SWORD and engages in a SWORDFIGHT with a DEMON. FALCON threw his ARMS down and TWO WOODEN STAKES popped out. HE raised his arms and the TWO VAMPIRES walked right into the STAKES, dusting themselves. [Starring Labyrinth as Falcon] FALCON wrestles a FEMALE VAMPIRE to the ground.
A STORM CELLAR filled with DEMONS start fighting each other.
PARA HARRIS appears inside FALCON’S OFFICE. PARA flip kicks a DEMON in the JAW, and in mid air FLIPS and spin kicks a VAMPIRE. PARA looks down at a few HUMAN BEINGS from a CRANE. [Para_girl as Para/The Oracle]
FALCON flies through a glass window, TACKLING a VAMPIRE that’s about to attack a SCYTHE-WIELDING BEN SUMMERS.
MARTY holds his head in agony as the CAMERA zooms into his face fast. MARTY fights with a VAMPIRE. [JP Junkee as Marty] MARTY and RIVER take on a slew of DEMONS.
PARA and FALCON kiss.
THE HOST appears from an EXPLOSION of a BRIGHT BLUE LIGHT in the MIDDLE of FALCON’S OFFICE. BEN SUMMERS and THE HOST battle. [The Host as Matt McGuire] MATT and ELAINE fight each other.
FALCON decapitates a vampire by throwing a SAW BLADE. The VAMPIRE turns to dust.
AMBER looks through papers in an office. AMBER’S long brown hair flows down as she spins around, holding a BATTLE AXE. [Ethena Marx as Amber]
RIVER SUMMERS and RYAN HAWKINS walk in the DOORWAY to FALCON’S OFFICE.
RYAN HAWKINS jumps into a BUILDING that is on FIRE. RYAN answers the PHONE inside the OFFICE. RYAN sword fights with a LARGE VAMPIRE. [And Dark Hunter as Ryan Hawkins]. RYAN lays in bed with AMBER, the two hold each other.
AMBER, RYAN and FALCON walk down a DARK ALLEY together. FALCON carries a WOODEN STAKE, RYAN a CROSSBOW and AMBER a BATTLE AXE.

COMMERCIAL
FALCON’S CAR –
Para: Stop the car.
Falcon: Why?
Para: Where’s the Scythe?
Falcon: I don’t know…I thought you had it.
Amber: Didn’t that witch-boy take it?
Falcon: Call Marty. Now.
Amber: Boss, they’re behind us in the truck.
Falcon: Right. Para, take the car to the old Magic Box. We’ll set up shop in there.
Para: What about the agency?
Falcon: That’s what I meant, we’re not really opening the Magic Box. But what supplies are there, grab.
PARA scooted over to the driver’s seat and took off.
FALCON walked to the TRUCK and opened the door.
Falcon: Marty?
MARTY looked dead into FACLON’S EYES – only, he was in VAMP MODE
Marty: He took it. Ben’s the mayor, and they needed a Slayer, so Shane took it and made River a slayer. But I didn’t tell you that. You don’t know anything.
FALCON’S FACE morphed back.
Falcon: Thanks.
Ryan: What about Matt?
Falcon: I’ll find him.
Ryan: Are you going to Charger City?
Falcon: I think so.
Ryan: I don’t think that’s a good idea.
Falcon: And why not?
Ryan: Not now. Later. Matt’s there now, he’ll get the Scythe. I’m sure he knows about it.
FALCON sighed.
Falcon: If you say so.
MARTY started to shake. He GRABBED his head.
Marty: Holy crap!
MARTY’S VISION
A SLEW of DEMONS attacking innocent people at night. Everyone is fleeing for their lives, as the DEMONS attack.
The people started running right past a TRUCK with lots of BOXES in the back.
END OF VISION
MARTY gripped his head, out of breath, gasping.
Falcon: What was it? Where was the vision?
Marty: I’m fine…thanks.
Falcon: Are you okay?
Marty: Yeah…thanks for asking.
FALCON rolled his eyes. He heard SCREAMING in the distance.
Marty: That’s the same cry from my vision…
Falcon: What was it?
Marty: Demons…vampires…a whole bunch of them, chasing people out of a town past a big truck with some boxes, as if it were a moving truck…
FALCON looked at the TRUCK, then back at MARTY. He looked towards DANSVILLE, and saw TONS of people fleeing.
Falcon: Marty! Don’t your visions kick in to effect like at least a day after you have them?
Marty: No, I don’t know…I guess so.
Falcon: Where are the weapons?
Ryan: In the back.
Marty: You’re driving one.
Falcon: He’s got a point.
Ryan: No. I’d be much better off hand-to-hand.
Falcon: Okay. Marty…you drive, but don’t hit any humans…or me…I’ll be looking like…
FALCON’S FACE morphed into VAMP MODE.
Falcon: …this. So…let me take care of everyone who looks like this, okay?
Marty: You know, you seriously go through Rudolph syndrome.
Falcon: I am like Rudolph. All of the other Reindeer USED to laugh and call me names…but now I have a soul…and I kick their asses.
FALCON ran to the back of the truck and opened up boxes frantically.
FALCON pulled out AMBER’S hand-BATTLE AXE and put it in his belt, and picked up a bigger BATTLE AXE and a SWORD.
He picked up a shoulder bag and gave it to RYAN.
Falcon: I think this is yours.
RYAN looked through the bag and pulled out the crossbow, some bolts and some wooden stakes.
Ryan: Let’s do this.
RYAN and FALCON ran into the crowd, fighting the DEMONS.
PARA and AMBER ran from behind the demons to FALCON and RYAN.
Amber: We’re gravely out numbered.
Para: But not out smarted. This used to be our turf. We all abandoned it when the hell-mouth erupted.
Amber: What’s a hell-mouth?
Para: I’ll explain later.
PARA, FALCON, RYAN and AMBER lined up.
RYAN tossed some stakes to AMBER. FALCON threw AMBER’S AXE to her.
Amber: Thanks, Boss.
AMBER hurled the AXE forward. The CAMERA followed the AXE in a very MATRIX like move. The AXE spun around and around, in the background a blurry image started to become clear, it was a DEMON. The AXE landed smack dab in the middle of the DEMON’S FOREHEAD, dazing him for a second, and then he fell to the ground dead.
Para: Good aim!
Amber: I’ve improved.
SEVERAL VAMPIRES leapt to attack AMBER, and succeeded, as FALCON darted off with his sword drawn and started slicing at DEMONS. RYAN shot his crossbow and dusted a vampire.
PARA flew into the air and then with great speed flew back down to the ground and picked up two DEMONS with her arms and took them very high. She dropped them and the DEMONS exploded on impact.
The TRUCK floored it to the mass of VAMPIRES attacking AMBER. MARTY jumped out of the car and started kicking and punching the VAMPS, but his attacks were not strong enough.
Marty: You give me your visions, Powers That Be…but not your strength?
MARTY was backhanded by a vampire and went flying backwards, landing hard.
PARA flew up again, but this time, one of the DEMONS could shape-shift, and formed into a BOULDER. PARA collided with the boulder, sending her body half-way in, and stopped.
The DEMON morphed back, and batted his stomach.
AMBER was being held by her arms by the VAMPIRES.
FALCON had a wooden stake next to his heart by a VAMPIRE. He dropped his sword.
RYAN looked around, and went to fire at the VAMPIRE by FALCON, but was knocked backward by a ball of ENERGY.
A SHADOWED FIGURE descended to the scene. It was a woman…
Voice: I told you this wasn’t over.
ELAINE stepped forward with GLASS and dozens of VAMPIRES behind them.
ELAINE raised her hand, and the VAMPIRE holding the STAKE at FALCON left, but the STAKE remained in place…ELAINE pushed her hand outward more…the STAKE started to drive into FALCON’S SKIN.
Elaine: Do you feel that?
FALCON was trying to not show the pain, but was in big time pain, but as he looked at ELAINE…he saw something…a wonderful sight…FOOTPRINTS being made in the dirt, but no visible body…
Falcon: Do you feel that?
Elaine: Feel what?
FALCON looked in front of him and saw another set of FOOTPRINTS, only they were smaller.
The STAKE was being pulled out of FALCON’S CHEST – ELAINE looked perplexed, but suddenly to stunned as she went flying.
The TWO INVISIBLE BODIES became visible. The one from behind ELAINE was MATT MCGUIRE.
The one in front of FALCON, BECKY SUMMERS.
Falcon: I wasn’t expecting you.
BECKY winked at him.
Becky: I’m not alone.
The VAMPIRE from behind GLASS started dusting…Enter the Calvary.
RIVER, holding the SCYTHE was decapitating, and staking the VAMPIRES, switching his combos.
SHANE was throwing miniature balls of energy that were yellow, when they touched the VAMPIRES, they immediately dusted.
JOEY held a BOW and shot arrows that were dipped in HOLY WATER.
AMBER broke free and pulled the WOODEN HAIR PICK from her hair and STAKED the VAMPIRES surrounding her.
AMBER threw the HAIR PICK to PARA.
RIVER flung the SCYTHE at the DEMON PARA was inside. The SCYTHE ripped across the DEMON’S STOMACH, spilling open his intestines.
Falcon: Ugh…it’s like watching Orson Wells’ autopsy.
PARA slid out of the stomach, covered in guck.
RIVER pulled his hand out and the SCYTHE flew back.
ELAINE and GLASS looked surprised.
Elaine: It’s not like you to hide behind kids, Falc.
Falcon: Who said I’m hiding?
Glass: Are you kidding me? The Slayer’s kid brother? Where’s big brother?
River: He’s dead.
FALCON’S EYES got wide.
River: Like you will be soon.
ELAINE formed her fists and they started to glow.
SHANE stepped forward with glowing fists as well.
Shane: Remember what happened last time, Glenda?
ELAINE looked embarrassed and put her hands back down.
Glass: You don’t scare me, kid.
GLASS ran at SHANE.
SHANE threw his hands out.
Shane: Aleesh Astras.
LIGHTNING and ENERGY flew from his hands. GLASS fell to the ground.
PARA was amazed.
Para: It’s like Tara and Mandy mated…some how…and had the wonder child.
Elaine: Right…well, we’ll be going.
ELAINE looked at FALCON…and then at the group of his helpers, that were far away from him.
ELAINE’S EYES went black and she threw a ball of FIRE at FALCON –
RIVER looked up…
SLOW MOTION –
The BALL moved in towards FALCON…RIVER had a double image of him running (like CLARK KENT in SMALLVILLE) as he RAN in front of FALCON. RIVER swung the SCYTHE like a BASEBALL bat and hit the FIREBALL away from FALCON.
ELAINE called RIVER out…
RIVER flipped into the AIR and landed in front of her.
Becky: River! What did Michelle and I talk to you about?
ELAINE punched RIVER hard and he flew backwards, sending the SCYTHE far away.
Now, TEAM FALCON doesn’t know that RIVER has SLAYER strength…so they are all shocked to see:
RIVER flipped right back up and looked at BECKY.
River: Never hit a woman…
RIVER ran at ELAINE and clocked her in the FACE.
River: …Unless she hits you first.
ELAINE flew into BECKY’S ARMS.
BECKY turned her around.
Becky: Sorry, bitch. It’s just not your lucky day.
BECKY clocked her in the JAW, sending her back to RIVER.
RIVER head-butted her and threw his knee into her stomach.
RIVER flung his hand out and the SCYTHE came.
PARA looked at RIVER…and then at the SCYTHE.
FALCON noticed it as well.
RIVER held the SCYTHE, ready to decapitate ELAINE, and as he started to release his SWING – FALCON charged at him knocking him down.
Falcon: Not yet, River.
ELAINE scattered away.
Elaine: Well…you haven’t seen the last of me, Falcon! Even if you have a Slayer on your side.
ELAINE flapped her arms and she disappeared with a flash.
RIVER looked up at FALCON.
River: Why did you stop me? I could have gotten rid of her!
Falcon: With that power you stole?
RIVER looked at the SCYTHE.
River: Screw you. You don’t even know what’s going on?
Falcon: Actually, I do. Ben is the Mayor of Charger City. So you figured, as he isn’t available to slay demons, you needed to be the Slayer.
River: So?
Falcon: You’re not ready for it yet, River.
River: You don’t know that.
Falcon: Para, reverse the effects.
PARA extended her arm and the SCYTHE flew to her. PARA felt the SCYTHE.
Para: Magics have undone the Scythe. The last one to touch it inherited the powers of the Slayer.
The SCRAPPY GANG stood behind RIVER now.
River: Yeah, so if you don’t mind, I’d like to have that back.
Falcon: We’re keeping it.
River: Over my dead body.
Falcon: If that’s the way it has to be.
FALCON’S FACE morphed back into VAMP MODE.
FALCON threw the first punch, RIVER dodged down and got back up as FALCON threw another punch, but RIVER grabbed his fist in his hand. FALCON squirmed in pain, but RIVER punched FALCON in the CHEST, releasing his hand and FALCON flew into PARA, knocking them BOTH DOWN.
FALCON flipped back up and ran at RIVER. RIVER stopped him be several punches to the face.
FALCON fell down and RIVER jumped on top of him, pinning him to the ground. RIVER pulled FALCON up by the hair and started to pummel his face. After about twelve punches, FALCON’S face morphed back to normal, but he was terrified, as RIVER was about to strike again, he saw FALCON’S bloodied and scared face. RIVER put his hands down and started to weep in FALCON’S ARMS.
River: I can’t do this by myself.
FALCON sat up holding RIVER in his arms…
FLASH BACK –
DANSVILLE 1995
The SUMMERS HOME – DAYTIME
RIVER was outside playing, and as he ran up the sidewalk, he tripped and fell. Blood gushed from his leg.
FALCON looked out the window and saw this.
FALCON ran out the front door into the sunlight, he was already starting to smoke. He picked up a crying RIVER and ran back into the house.
FALCON starred at all the blood on RIVER’S LEG.
FALCON comforted RIVER.
FLASH BACK to PRESENT DAY –
RIVER sat with FALCON on the ground.
Falcon: I know you’ve been through a lot, but don’t cry. Never let your enemy see your weakness. You are strong River. You have always been strong.
FALCON wrapped his arm around him.
Falcon: This is why Ben and I didn’t want you to be the Slayer so soon. We didn’t want you to figure it out this way.
River: Figure what out?
Falcon: That you’re alone. The Slayer is always alone.
River: Even with my friends?
Falcon: You’re still alone. Even with me. You’re still alone.
Brad: Not necessarily.
BRADLEY GILES walked forward.
Becky: Brad, where did you come from?
Brad: Well my parents, originally, then to Dansville, Charger City, England, back to C.C., and then back to England, and back here.
BECKY’S eyes got wide with annoyance.
Becky: How did you get here?
Brad: Oh. My Taurus. It’s behind the big truck.
BRAD walked over to RIVER and FALCON.
Brad: The Slayer is only truly alone when their watcher dies or leaves them. I’ve yet to die, made you all think so, but yet to die. And I won’t leave.
BRAD helped RIVER up.
BRAD looked at TEAM FALCON.
Brad: So, this is your new team?
Falcon: Yeah. Might be recruiting River pretty soon.
Brad: Maybe when he’s ready.
Falcon: You’ll train him?
Brad: Yeah. If anything, he’ll be like Ben…
Falcon: Oh help us all.
FALCON and BRAD laughed.
Brad: By the way. The P-T-B told me to tell you something.
Falcon: P-T-B?
Brad: Powers That Be.
Falcon: Oh.
Brad: They wanted you to know that something big is coming. You moved to the right spot at the right time, but something big is coming, and you’ll have help.
Falcon: Well…that’s good.
Brad: But we’ll get out of your hair for now. Good luck.
Falcon: You too. River?
River: Yeah?
Falcon: You take care.
River: I will.
Para: I suppose I won’t be needing the Scythe anymore. Take care of it.
River: I will.
PARA stepped in front of SHANE.
Para: And I know it was your magic that undid the Scythe.
Shane: I’m flattered. Thanks.
Para: I’ll be watching you.
The SCRAPPY GANG walked away.
[Sister Hazel “Change Your Mind” begins]
FALCON looked at his team.
Amber: So what are we going to do here, boss?
Falcon: What we’re good at. Solving crimes and killing demons.
FALCON walked towards his team, and they headed off towards the MAGIC BOX.
As they walked in, they starred at the MESS it was left in.
Falcon: It’s okay, it’s a bit of a fixer-upper.
The MAGIC BOX was magically cleaned, as daylight shone through – but it wasn’t magic, it was just a quick fade to the next morning.
FALCON walked out of the back office – wearing a T-Shirt and JEANS.
AMBER and PARA went wild.
Para: See…vampires can pull off all these other looks.
Amber: And for a dead guy, you’re way hot!
FALCON looked a bit embarrassed.
RYAN handed him a tool belt.
Falcon: We solve crimes my way, not like Batman.
Ryan: No…there’s a hammer and nails…if we’re going to get this office done, you better help out.
Falcon: Sunlight?
Ryan: This morning, Marty and I replaced all the windows in this building with Double-Panned Magic Enhanced Windows. You can sit in the sunlight and it won’t turn you into a fiery vampire.
FALCON was excited.
Falcon: You get it at Lowes? No…Home Depot.
Ryan: Ace.
Falcon: Ace!
Marty: It’s the place to get everything…or something like that.
The time faded away, to that evening.
The Office was actually built, just needed to get painted and decorated.
The next morning….we see everyone working hard on different jobs. AMBER flirts heavily with FALCON.
The screen fades to black…
…then bursts open as the door opens up with a burst of sunlight. FALCON, dressed in all black with his long coat, steps forward…
Falcon: Welcome to Falcon Investigations. I’m Falcon, my office is directly in the back, to my left and right we have Amber Hedrick and Ryan Hawkins. Amber is the office secretary, and Ryan is in charge of cases.
AMBER and RYAN fall in behind FALCON, continuing their march through their office.
Ryan: Past our offices are Para Harris, a former lieutenant for the government.
Amber: And Marty Holmes, a loyal friend. Together, they work on the cases with Ryan.
MARTY and PARA fall in behind RYAN and AMBER.
Para: And Falcon carries out our cases.
Marty: With all of our help.
We’re now inside FALCON’S office. FALCON’S chair is turned around.
RYAN and AMBER take to the left side of FALCON’S chair, as PARA and MARTY take to the right side.
FALCON’S chair spins around.
Falcon: And we’ll take any case, at any price. Just call us at 867-5309, but please, don’t ask for Jenny.
EVERYONE looked serious, while FALCON laughed.
FALCON noticed everyone else and went back to serious, fast.
Everyone: Falcon Investigations – We Help The Helpless.
TEAM FALCON smiles, but are shut off by a well dressed man and woman in another office.
The WOMAN places the remote for the TV on her desk, and we see ELAINE is sitting, watching the TV.
Elaine: That’s them. All of them.
The well dressed man came forward.
Man: We’ll take care of them. We here at Wolfram & Hart deal with all sorts of problems.
The man continued to talk as the well dressed woman looked at the picture on her desk – it was the TEAM FALCON picture. She rammed a WOODEN STAKE through FALCON’S HEART in the picture.
The CAMERA panned up from the picture to the HEADER on the paper –
“WOLFRAM & HART – DANSVILLE OFFICE”
