Ben The Flooder Slayer - Episode 3x07 - And They Lived Happily Never After

MORGUE
BEN walks between CLOSED CASKETS as the only light is from CANDLES. He looks at a BROWN CASKET.
He continues to walk around, very coldly, his face with no expression. He goes back to the BROWN CASKET and opens it.
The LIGHT TURNS ON. BEN jumps back, startled.
BRAD, RIVER and The MORTICIAN walk in.
Brad: Ben…are you all right?
Ben: Yeah.
Mortician: Did you find something?
BEN looked down at the BROWN CASKET.
Ben: This one.
RIVER looks at the casket.
Mortician: It’s a fine choice. It speaks of your true feeling for the deceased.
BEN and BRAD look at the Mortician. They all start to walk out, but RIVER stays behind. BEN stops.
Ben: You don’t like it?
River: No. It’s not that, it’s just that…what if mom liked something else better?
Ben: River…
River: How do we know for sure? She’s the one who has to be in it forever.
Ben: River, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea for you to come along.
River: It’s fine…it’s just…
Ben: I’m serious; you shouldn’t have to deal with this stuff.
Mortician: If you’d like a few more moments…
Ben: No! It’s done. It’s fine.
BEN looks at RIVER.
Ben: Okay?
RIVER nods.
Ben: Okay.
BEN, BRAD, and the MORTICIAN walk off. RIVER looks at the casket, then over his shoulder and back to the casket.
BLACK OUT TO OPENING CREDITS…

Ben runs through a graveyard, wooden spike in hand – Ben inside of his casket, struggling to get free – Ben gives his mom a hug – Ben fighting Becky – [STARRING: Beno_yo] – Ben kisses Para with fireworks around them.
Para jumps from the roof of her car to the roof of The Elite’s SUV – Para fights with Black Magic Tara – Para does a somersault and pulls her laser out and fires – [PARA-GIRL] – Para gets her freak on with Ben at The Bronze.
RIVER shoots a flaming arrow from a crossbow – River flees from a flooder – River and Ben hug outside of a gravesite – [RIVER] – River’s eyes glow.
Anya’s face turns from normal to a vengeance demon – A huge fireball flies right through Anya, she stands there unharmed – [JURASSICCHIC31] – Anya fights with Ice.
John Arnold points his finger at three men dressed in military garb – A huge blue orb comes flying in front of Vanessa, John jumps in front of it – John takes aim with the Plasma Cannon and fires – [JOHNARNOLD] – John pats Dac on the back.
Tara’s hair goes from blonde to black, as her eyes turn from blue to black – Black Magic Tara throws her arms out and lightning flies everywhere – White Witch Tara places her arms on Ben, as he lay on the ground riving in pain. [and AUSSIEEMBRYO as TARA] – The left side of Tara’s face turns to Black Magic Tara and the right side remains White Magic.
Ben walks toward a huge shinning light with Para, River and Rick following. Tara and Brad come up from the sides. An explosion then reveals the logo…

RICK ARNOLD’S APPARTMENT – Evening
RICK sat in his chair. DAC sat next to him.
Dac: What in the hell happened here?
Rick: I don’t even know.
Dac: Whenever you and Para are ready to come back, the HQ in Charger City is at your disposal.
Rick: I’ve been thinking of that…I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to stay here, but I know I will be going to Charger City and taking over what’s left of The Elite.
Dac: Yes, sir.
A KNOCK ON THE DOOR
Dac: Who could that be?
Rick: I don’t know.
RICK got out of his chair. He walked to the front door. He picked up a wooden stake.
He slowly turned the handle and opened the door.
VANESSA stood waiting for him.
Vanessa: Hey there, Rick!
RICK shoved the stake into her heart.
Rick: It’s over between us.
VANESSA exploded into DUST.
BEN’S HOUSE – The NEXT Day
BEN sat on his BED in darkness, wearing formal clothes. RIVER sat on his BED in darkness, wearing formal clothes.
The two BROTHERS met at the stairs. They just looked at each other.
BEN started down the stairs, followed by his younger brother RIVER.
PARA got up from the living room with TARA, RICK, ANYA, and DAC.
Para: Are you ready to go?
BEN nodded.
THE GROUP walked out of the house and to their cars.
GRAVESITE
TWENTY some people stood around the gravesite. BEN and RIVER stood closest. PARA stood next to RICK and TARA, BRAD stood on the other side of PARA. DAC stood by RYAN. ANYA put her arm around RYAN.
THE PASTOR stepped forward.
Pastor: We commend to almighty God, our sister Joan Summers, and we commit her body to the ground.
BEN places his arm around RIVER as they stare at the casket. BRAD and PARA shed a tear.
Pastor: Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, and dust to dust.
A SHOVEL digs into the ground and dirt is thrown upon the casket as it is placed into the ground. RIVER places his tearful face inside BEN’S CHEST.
Pastor: The lord blesses her and keeps her. The lord makes his face to shine upon her and be gracious to her.
As people start to leave, ANYA gives BEN a hug. RIVER receives a hug from PARA and TARA. BRAD hugs BEN, followed by RYAN. RICK pats BEN on the shoulder, but the pat becomes a hug. DAC shakes BEN’S Hand. TARA looks at BEN and cries. She places her head in his chest. BEN sobs a little, but kisses TARA’S forehead. PARA steps forward to BEN. She kisses him and hugs him.
Pastor: The lord lifts up his continents upon her, and give her peace.
The group starts to walk away. BEN still stands at the site of the grave.
Pastor: Amen.
TARA walks to BEN.
Tara: River’s ready to go. Are you ready?
Ben: I’ll be home later you guys go ahead.
Tara: Okay.
TARA, PARA, RICK, DAC, BRAD and RIVER all leave.
BEN stares at the ground. Before he knows it, moonlight hits the graveyard.
FOOTSTEPS approach him.
Female voice: I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner…
It was BECKY.
BEN places his hand into hers.
TARA’S HOUSE
Tara: Oh River. I wish you could feel better. It’s going to get better, I promise.
River: How do you know that?
Para: She’s a witch…she knows everything.
River: What? Life goes on and I forget about her?
Para: Not forget. You put a place in your heart for her and she becomes a part of you.
Tara: There has to be something we can do.
River: Actually there is.
Tara: What?
River: Tara, you’re a witch. Para, you dabbled into sorcery a while ago.
Para: So?
River: I want to do a spell.
Tara: What kind of a spell?
River: I want to bring my mother back.
COMMERCIAL
RYAN’S APPARTMENT
ANYA and RYAN sit, listening to music and making out.
Ryan: Wow that was intense.
Anya: It’s because of Joan.
Ryan: What?
Anya: She got me thinking…about life.
Ryan: Right.
TARA’S HOUSE
Tara: It’s understandable you want to bring her back, but you can’t.
River: Why not?
Para: Because that messes with the natural order of things.
River: But it was okay to bring Ben back?
Tara: That was different.
River: How so?
Tara: Ben died because of a supernatural force. Your mother died because of Cancer.
River: So?
Tara: Don’t think for one second that I’d love to bring Mandy back. I would do it in a heartbeat, but I can’t. Mandy is gone and I have to move on.
River: But all you do is mess with the natural order of things with magic anyway. How is this different? You make things float and disappear…
Tara: But we don’t mess with life and death.
Para: I know how bad you hurt.
River: No you don’t. They put her in the ground.
Tara: They did, and that’s awful and unfair, but this isn’t the way.
Para: We can’t River…it’s too dangerous.
River: You said you wanted to help me.
RIVER runs to his sleeping back and hides his face.
PARA goes to him and touches his shoulder, but he turns the other way.
PARA looks at TARA.
CEMETARY
BEN and BECKY sit underneath a tree by JOAN’S GRAVESITE.
Ben: The funeral was brutal. But it’s tomorrow that I’m worried about.
Becky: What’s tomorrow?
Ben: That’s exactly what I don’t know. Up until now I’ve had a schedule, having mom back was wonderful. I could be free to do what I want.
Becky: Tomorrow your everyday life will resume, like it did before she came back to you.
Ben: But everybody expects me to know how to do it because I’m so strong.
Becky: You just need some time, I’m sure they understand that.
Ben: Time’s not the issue. I can fight off demons and flooders, but mom was the strong one in real life. She always knew how to make things better, what to do, what to say.
Becky: You’ll find your way. Not all at once…
Ben: I don’t know…I keep thinking about it. When I found her, if I had just gotten there just 10 minutes earlier.
Becky: You told me that they told you that 10 minutes wouldn’t have made a difference.
Ben: They said PROBABLY wouldn’t have made a difference. The exact thing was probably. I haven’t told anyone that.
Becky: That wasn’t your fault…you can’t blame yourself for that. You couldn’t have done anything different.
Ben: I didn’t even start CPR until they told me. I fell apart. That’s how good I am at being a grown up.
Becky: Ben…
Ben: It’d be okay if it were just myself I had to protect, but River…
Becky: Look, it’s okay. I know you don’t feel like it now, but you are strong. You have people to help you. You don’t have to do this alone.
Ben looked at the moon.
Ben: It’s going to be light soon.
Becky: I can stay as long as you want me too.
Ben: How’s forever? Does forever work for you?
They embraced. They started to kiss.
Becky: I’m sorry.
Ben: No…I’m so grateful that you came Becky. I didn’t think I was going to make it through the night.
Becky: There is still a few more minutes before I have to go.
Ben: Good.
DOWNTOWN DANSVILLE
DAN walks out of the BUS STATION. A FLYING BOOK appears above him.
LIGHTNING flies from the book as a PORTAL is formed. A DARK FIGURE with a CLOAK appears out of the PORTAL. The PORTAL starts to CLOSE as another BEING flies out.
DAN looks at the figure.
THE Figure pulls his hood back revealing a skull for a face. The Figure pulls out a staff with a skull at the end of it.
Being: I am SKELETOR!
Dan: And I am Dan…
SKELETOR takes his Staff and hits DAN right in the stomach. The other BEING jumps onto SKELETOR, pulling him back.
FALCON appeared.
Falcon: Hey…Skeletor!
Skeletor: Who beckons?
Falcon: I, Falcon Glick. I summoned you.
Skeletor: Did you?
Falcon: Yes. You will take out the one called The Slayer.
Skeletor: The Slayer? Sounds interesting.
DAN got to his feet.
Dan: I don’t think so. A prophecy has taken place already with The Slayer.
Falcon: Which is?
Dan: Into every generation a Slayer is born. One born with the power and knowledge to stop the Vampires and Demons. When the Slayer gives birth to a boy, the same boy will be trained in the ways of the Slayer and will be the last call, and the Slayer will walk through the fires of Hell to prove his worth and will end the line of Slayers.
Falcon: So? I’ll still kill him.
Dan: You didn’t let me finish…if any living organism assists him; they shall parish into the flames.
Falcon: Why does he have to walk through the fires of Hell?
Dan: It’s written. Something will summon him there and he will succeed.
Skeletor: Too bad it doesn’t lead to here!
Skeletor placed his hand out and absorbed Dan’s energy. Dan fell to the ground.
Falcon: Not bad…
Skeletor: I know…
Skeletor moved his hand towards Falcon. He absorbed his energy as well. Skeletor took out a sword from his belt. He sliced it across Falcon’s neck.
MAGIC SHOP – LATE NIGHT
RIVER walks into the shop with a book. A LADY walks to the front.
Lady: What can I do for you, and at such a late time?
River: My mom died…and I want to bring her back…
Lady: Simple to do…if you are experienced. Are you experienced?
River: No…I need to get her back fast.
Lady: I sense she was strong…you are strong…your family is….
River: Yeah, yeah…I need to bring her back. How do I do it?
Lady: In order to return her, you must perform the ritual at the gates of Hell.
River: Where are the gates of Hell?
Lady: Through a portal. There is a portal inside the graveyard. You will find it.
River: Thank you!!
RIVER ran out, excited.
The LADY picked up the phone and dialed a number.
TARA’S HOUSE
The PHONE rang.
Tara: Hello?
Lady: Tara, it’s Jean from the shop, you remember me from that meeting?
Tara: Oh! Yes! How are you?
Lady: You had a friend’s mom die not too long ago, correct?
Tara: Yeah, why?
Lady: How old was he?
Tara: Ben’s about 19…why?
Lady: Does he have a brother about the age of 15?
Tara: Yes…why? Jean what’s going on?
Lady: He’s brining his mother back…
Tara: Oh my God…
COMMERCIAL
BEN’S HOUSE – OUTSIDE
BEN walked up his sidewalk to his front porch. PARA sat on a chair on the porch.
Para: Hey.
Ben: Hey.
Para: How are you?
Ben: Holding up.
Para: I just got a phone call from Tara…River is up to something.
Ben: What?
Para: He wants to bring your mother back…
DANSVILLE CEMETARY
RIVER enters SETH’S OLD CRYPT.
RIVER looked around. He saw an OPENING.
BECKY appeared.
Becky: What your about to do is wrong, dangerous and could get you killed.
River: I need her.
Becky: River, please…Ben needs her too.
River: But I’m not like Ben…I don’t have anybody.
Ben: Yes you do. You have me.
BEN walked into the crypt. BECKY disappeared.
River: I’m bringing her back…
Ben: You can’t…Tara told me about these spells, they go wrong…people come back wrong.
River: And look at you…you’re back from the dead.
Ben: I died because I jumped through a portal to seal it. I died of supernatural means…Mom had cancer.
River: I don’t care. She’s coming back!
Ben: River, you can’t do this. Not to Mom.
River: I need her…I’m not like you Ben. I don’t have anybody.
Ben: You have me!
River: No I don’t. You don’t even look at me. It’s more than apparent that you don’t want me around.
Ben: That’s not true…
River: Yes it is. Mom died, and you’ve been running around like you don’t even care.
Ben: Of course I care. How can you even think that?
River: How can I not? You haven’t even cried. You’ve just been running around like it’s some big chore or something. Righting all the wrongs Mom made must be really tough.
BEN punched RIVER in the face.
BEN looked in shock, RIVER looked back at him.
Ben: River…I’ve been working.
BEN’S eyes water, RIVER is crying
Ben: I’ve been busy because I have to…
River: No, you’ve been avoiding me.
Ben: I’m not! I have to do these things…
A TEAR sheds down BEN’S face.
Ben: Because when I stop, then she’s really gone.
BEN is now CRYING.
Ben: And I’m trying to take care of these things, but I don’t even know where to start. Mom always knew.
River: Nobody’s asking you to be Mom.
Ben: Well who’s going to be if I’m not? Have you even thought about that? Who’s going to take care of us?
BEN stares at RIVER.
Ben: I didn’t mean to push you away; I just couldn’t let you see me like this. I don’t know what we’re going to do. I’m scared.
RIVER looks at the book in his hands. He throws it into the PORTAL.
BEN looks at his brother.
Ben: River…
RIVER walks to his brother.
THEY embrace with a hug. BEN falls to the ground, holding RIVER.
RIVER: It’s okay…it’s going to be okay…
BOTH of them are crying.
