Crimson Moon 3 Script (Part 2)

EXT. THE WOODS - DAY
Miller is again walking alone through the woods, beside a row
of shrub trees.
On the other side of the shrub trees, the mysterious man is walking, matching Miller's steps. We watch them walk along this way from an aerial shot just above the shrubs. After a few steps, Miller stops walking. The mysterious man stops walking.
Miller turns to the shrubs, the mysterious man turns to the shrubs. Miller pulls his canteen out and unscrews the top. He raises it to his mouth and starts to gulp the water down.
The mysterious man suddenly bursts through the shrubs.
MYSTERIOUS MAN
Lycan!
Miller turns to the man and sneers an evil sneer at him. One we would never expect from Miller.
The man unslings his sword and rams it forward, stabbing into the bottom of the canteen and going through it, ripping it apart. The sword goes into Miller's mouth and continues through until it rips through the back of Miller's head.
Miller's hand drops away from the canteen and his body stands
there, stuck on the sword, quivering. The man pulls the sword
out of Miller's head and his body falls to the ground. He takes the sword and swings down, decapitating Miller.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE GAS STATION - DAY
Ginger brushes the glass off her seat, and then gets into the Camaro.
CUT TO:
INT. THE CAMARO
Everyone is back in their seats and Lance has started the car.
He starts to drive away from the pump, headed for the side of
the building that the motorcycles are on.
TRIPS
What are you doing, Lance?
LANCE
I just want to say goodbye to our
friends.
GINGER
Lance, no.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE GAS STATION - DAY
The motorcycles are still parked, the bikers standing around them,
getting ready to leave.
The Camaro comes driving up, headed right for the motorcycles.
A biker is sitting on the motorcycle closest to the Camaro, and he
sees the Camaro coming toward him. He jumps off the motorcycle and
runs out of the way.
CUT TO:
INT. THE CAMARO
GINGER
You're going to hit them!
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CAMARO - DAY
The Camaro hits the first motorcycle, knocking it over. It hits the
motorcycle and there's a domino effect, knocking all of the cycles
down.
The Camaro then turns, running over the back half of the motorcycle.
Lance then steps on the gas and speeds off onto the nearest road.
CUT TO:
INT. THE CAMARO
C.J.
I don't think you should've done
that, Lance.
LANCE
They had it coming.
GINGER
I just hope they don't come after
us.
LANCE
What, are they gonna chase us down
and kill us?
JEZZY
Don't even say that.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE WOODS - DAY
Chris is walking along. There's a rustling behind him and he stops
beside a tree, turning around.
CHRIS'S P.O.V. - There's nothing behind him.
He turns back around and-
CHRIS'S P.O.V. - A person quickly comes around the side of the tree,
stepping in front of him.
It's Tera, looking dazed, barefoot, her clothes ripped and covered
with dry blood. She startles Chris, making him jump and yell. Tera
does the same, she didn't know anybody else was out here.
Chris realizes it's a girl in bad shape and becomes concerned.
CHRIS
Are you alright?
TERA
Help me.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE WOODS - DAY
Bruce is still up in his deer stand.
CHRIS
(O.S.)
Bruce! Miller!
CUT TO:
EXT. THE LAKE - DUSK
Just a shot to establish the fact that the sun is beginning to go down.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CAMARO - DUSK
The paved road it's driving on abruptly changes to dirt.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE WOODS - DUSK
Chris and Bruce are walking through the woods, helping Tera walk between
them.
BRUCE
What happened to you?
TERA
I was camping with my boyfriend...
this creature... it killed him...
BRUCE
What creature?
TERA
Werewolf.
Chris and Bruce look at each other.
TERA
I tried to run from it, but I couldn't
get away... Phillip had the keys. Then...
then I can't remember. I can't remember
what happened.
(beat)
I woke up this morning in the woods. I
couldn't find my way out.
BRUCE
Well, we're getting you out now. We'll
take you to the hospital. I really don’t think
a werewolf did this, but there are stories of oversized wolves in the area. You might have been camping in the territory of one.
CHRIS
Miller!
Chris's voice echoes through the woods.
CHRIS
Where the hell is he?
BRUCE
Miller, we're leaving!
About 20 yards ahead, a rusty red pickup truck is parked in a clearing.
TERA
Who's Miller?
BRUCE
A friend of ours.
TERA
Maybe the wolf got him...
Bruce and Chris glance at each other, worried.
BRUCE
Alright, just keep calm. We’ll go and bring
her to the hospital and then go to the sheriff’s officer and get a search team for Miller.
They're now 10 yards away from the pickup.
The mysterious man suddenly drops down in front of them from out of nowhere, raising his sword.
MYSTERIOUS MAN
You have a Lycan in your midst. Hand it over.
Bruce, Tera and Chris step back, shocked, not knowing what to make of it, not even knowing what the guy is talking about.
The man is about to swing his sword when Chris fires his rifle,
knocking the sword out of the man’s hands.
CHRIS
Run!
Bruce runs for the truck, pulling Tera along and Chris follows.
The mysterious man reaches into his holsters and pulls out his two guns.
Bruce reaches the truck and opens the door, stepping aside and
letting Tera climb in. Once Tera's in, Bruce gets in and shuts
the door just as a couple shots hit it.
Chris reaches the truck, going over to the passenger door. Tera
opens the door for him and Chris gets in.
The man fires again, shattering a window as Bruce gets the truck started and they speed away. Chris pulls his door closed as they go.
The man turns and watches the truck go.
MYSTERIOUS MAN
Shit.
CUT TO:
INT. THE TRUCK
Bruce, Tera and Chris are recovering from the attack.
CHRIS
Holy shit...
BRUCE
Who the hell was that guy?
CHRIS
We've got to get her to a hospital,
then get the police.
BRUCE
Miller must be dead. I mean, if he
wasn't he would've answered us, right?
CHRIS
We couldn't stick around to find out.
CUT TO:
INT. THE CAMARO
The kids are riding along, the wind coming through the broken windows
and blowing their hair around.
GINGER
It's getting cold out.
LANCE
(angry)
Yeah, let me just roll the windows up.
We hear the roar of motorcycles off in the distance.
JEZZY
Oh, Jesus.
Trips, Jezzy and C.J. turn around in their seats and look out the
back window.
We don't see anything behind them but dark road.
GINGER
Is that them?
TRIPS
Don't see anything.
JEZZY
But they're out there.
C.J.
Should've chosen a busier road.
LANCE
How am I supposed to know what these
roads are? I didn't know we'd end up
on a fucking cow path in the middle
of nowhere.
GINGER
Let's just get off this cow path as
quick as we can.
Lance steps on the gas.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CAMARO - NEAR DARK
It speeds down the dirt path that cuts through the middle of
the woods.
CUT TO:
INT. THE PICKUP TRUCK
Chris is talking to Tera.
CHRIS
Are you hurt at all?
TERA
I don't think so.
Tera looks at her blood-covered clothes.
TERA
This must be Phillip's blood. It’s not
mine. I don’t have any cuts or anything
CUT TO:
EXT. THE PICKUP TRUCK - NIGHT
It speeds down the dirt path, going in the opposite direction from
the way the Camaro's going. They're going to pass each other eventually.
INT. THE CAMARO
The Camaro is still speeding along, those in the backseat keeping
a watch out the back window as the roar of motorcycles continues,
sounding closer now.
Jezzy grabs Trips' arm.
JEZZY
I'm really scared.
TRIPS
I'm not exactly happy about this
situation myself.
C.J. squints, looking into the shadows on the road behind them.
C.J.'S P.O.V. - We can't see anything but darkness behind the car.
The roar of the motorcycles is getting louder and closer.
C.J.
It's so loud... They have to be right
there.
TRIPS
I still can't see anything.
C.J.
I know. I don't und...
C.J. drops off when a motorcycle is briefly glimpsed in the red
glow of the taillights.
Jezzy looks at Lance.
JEZZY
They're right behind us!
The bright headlights of four motorcycles come on behind the car.
Lance messed up the fifth motorcycle by running over it, so it's
rider has to ride on the back of one of the others.
GINGER
Oh God, oh God, oh God...
Lance speeds up some more.
The motorcycles speed up as well, coming up to the back of the car.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE PICKUP TRUCK - NIGHT
It speeds around a curve in the path.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CAMARO - NIGHT
It speeds around a curve in the path, going left of center.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CURVE - NIGHT
The pickup truck and the Camaro come around the curve, speeding toward
Each other. They're going to meet in the middle of the curve - head on.
We see quick cuts of the people in the truck and Camaro reacting to
the fact that they're about to collide.
The pickup and Camaro collide, the driver's side of the Camaro hitting
the driver's side of the pickup. This causes the Camaro to spin
around, slamming into the side of the pickup. They then both spin off
the edge of the road, the pickup flipping over. The Camaro crashes
head on into a tree.
The bikers react to the collision in time and just speed off down
the path. The roar of the motorcycles eventually fade away and
become inaudible.
We linger on the wrecked vehicles, the natural sounds of the woods
the only sound. After a while, there's a squeal of metal. It's coming from the pickup, the passenger door is opening.
Tera climbs out, her head bleeding. Chris and Bruce are moving around
inside, hanging upside down.
Over at the Camaro, all of the kids are moving around.
C.J.
Jesus Palomino.
LANCE
Is everyone OK?
GINGER
Yeah.
JEZZY
I think so.
TRIPS
Yeah.
Tera stands up and starts walking toward the Camaro.
Lance unbuckles his seat belt, opens his door and gets out of the
Camaro. He looks over and sees Tera walking toward him.
LANCE
You guys alright?
TERA
Yeah, but we have to get out of here.
Lance looks at the front of the Camaro. It's totaled.
LANCE
We're not going anywhere in this.
They look over at the upside down pickup as Bruce and Chris crawl out.
LANCE
Or that, from the looks of it.
TERA
But we have to! He's out there!
Tera gestures at the woods.
LANCE
Who?
CHRIS
Some psycho killer. There’s also some big
wolves in the area that are pretty territorial.
Bruce gets to their feet and walks toward the
Camaro.
Ginger, C.J., Trips and Jezzy get out of the Camaro.
BRUCE
You people alright?
LANCE
Yeah.
Bruce and Chris reach the Camaro, look at the front of it.
BRUCE
Your car's fucked.
LANCE
I noticed. I'm sorry about this, those
bikers, they've been terrorizing us
all day. They were chasing us...
BRUCE
Those bikers are the least of our worries
right now. We were just attacked by a psycho out in the woods. We have to get to the police.
GINGER
How far away are they?
BRUCE
About 50 miles.
C.J.
Great. We've encountered so much hospitality
since we got into this town, I think I
might be moving here.
CHRIS
We have to get out of here.
LANCE
Where can we go? How can we get there?
Tera points at something off-screen.
TERA
Where does that go?
Everyone turns to look at what Tera's pointing at. Another dirt path branches off from the one they're on.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE OTHER DIRT PATH - NIGHT
Tera, Chris, Bruce, Lance, C.J., Ginger, Trips and Jezzy walk down
the path. Chris and Bruce are carrying their rifles.
C.J.
So how did you guys come to be out here?
CHRIS
The Cliff's Notes version, me, Bruce and our buddy Miller were out hunting and we stumbled upon her, who had been camping with her boyfriend when they were attacked by a wolf. Since then our friend has gone missing and we’ve been attacked by a psycho.
We look at Tera as she walks. Her fingernails seem to have grown and
starting to grow sharp points. Her arms are getting pretty hairy.
CUT TO:
EXT. CAMP STERIGAN - NIGHT
It's not in very good hshape, but someone has been keeping it up over
the years.
The kids, the hunters and Tera come walking up to the main house.
TRIPS
What is this place?
BRUCE
Camp Sterigan. It was a summer camp up until 1992, when the funding for building new buildings ran out. Ed McRae, the son of the original owner, keeps it up. I'm hoping there's a phone in here.
They walk up onto the porch.
CUT TO:
INT. THE MAIN HOUSE
It's very dark in here. The door opens and Bruce enters. He feels
the wall for a light switch, finds it, flips it on.
Light comes on in the main room and Chris, Tera, Lance, C.J., Trips
and Jezzy enter, looking around.
BRUCE
Look around for a phone.
Everyone splits up and starts looking around the place. As they
look around so do we. The living room area has three comfy couches, a fireplace, and a big table along with a small coffee table.
CUT TO:
INT. THE DINING ROOM
C.J. enters and immediately spots an old rotary phone sitting on
a small table beside the dining table.
C.J.
Hell yeah.
C.J. goes to the phone, picks it up, puts it to his ear... and
looks very disappointed.
C.J.
I found a phone!
The others crowd into the doorway, looking at him. He hangs the
phone up.
C.J.
But there's no dial tone.
Everyone's spirits were raising at the sight of the phone, now
they're deflated again.
TERA
What do we do now?
CUT TO:
EXT. THE LAKE - NIGHT
The full moon is rising in the sky, surrounded by dark clouds.
Lightning flashes in the clouds. Thunder rumbles.
CUT TO:
INT. THE HOUSE - THE LIVINGROOM
Everyone's standing around the livingroom. Ginger looks really
cold, hugging herself and rubbing her arms.
Chris goes to the door and looks out at the lake beyond the porch
and a large hill leading down to a beach.
Tera is sitting in a chair beside the staircase, staring at the
floor. She appears to be growing man-ish facial hair.
C.J. is looking at her, Trips standing beside him looking else-
where. C.J. nudges Trips and directs his attention to Tera. C.J.
motions to his chin, using his own sign language to tell Trips
to check out Tera's facial hair.
Trips gives C.J. a "duh" look and looks away.
Chris turns away from the door.
CHRIS
Well, looks like we're going to be
together for a while, so I guess we
should at least know each other's names.
I'm Chris.
BRUCE
Bruce.
LANCE
Lance.
C.J.
Cory, but everyone calls me C.J.
JEZZY
Jezzy.
GINGER
Megan, everyone calls me Ginger.
TRIPS
Trips.
CHRIS
Trips?
TRIPS
Yeah, it's a nickname. Adam Aaron
Anderson, Triple A, became Trips over
time.
Everyone looks at Tera, who's still staring at the floor, spacing
out.
BRUCE
What's your name?
Tera looks up.
TERA
What?
BRUCE
What's your name...
TERA
Tera.
We notice that Tera's eyes are starting to look wolf-like. Nobody
else notices.
CHRIS
Now, either we go out and walk a few
miles into town, or we're stuck here.
TRIPS
I say we chance the walk then. One serial
killer, there's eight of us, we should
be able to handle him if he comes along.
BRUCE
Not this guy. Plus there’s the wolves…
LANCE
And if the bikers were to come along
while we're walking...
Ginger pulls the sheet covering the couch off and wraps it around
herself.
GINGER
It's really cold in here.
LANCE
Yeah, it is.
C.J.
I think it's too risky to go out there.
I say we just hunker down here for the
night, start a fire...
TRIPS
(interrupts)
"Hunker down"? Dork.
C.J.
Fuck you.
LANCE
Let's drop the sibling bickering for
a while, guys.
C.J.
Yeah, well I've given my vote. Now
I've got to find a bathroom and take
a leak.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE WOODS - NIGHT
The mysterious man is walking through the woods, not far from a dirt path/road.
We can hear the motorcycles somewhere in the distance.
CUT TO:
INT. THE HOUSE - A SMALL BATHROOM
There's no bathtub in this one, just a toilet and a sink. Above
the toilet is a window that looks out across the driveway at
some of the small cabins.
C.J. is finishing up at the toilet. He flushes and looks out the
window.
We look through the window and see a quick glimpse of the mysterious man walking behind one of the cabins.
C.J. blinks and goes to the sink. He was obviously looking at
something other than what we were. He washes his hands. As he's
doing this we look through the window again. The mysterious man has walked around the back of the cabin, and is now walking toward the
house.
CUT TO:
INT. THE LIVINGROOM
Everyone's still standing around.
TRIPS
Staying here is stupid. It's pointless. We've
got rifles, if the bikers or this psycho guy, or any wolves come along we just blow the fuckers away.
CHRIS
The psycho has guns as well. He already fired
at us.
TRIPS
We don't have to stay together. Those who want to stay here, stay, those of us who want to leave, let's leave. I just hope one of you
that's armed decides to come with me. If not, hell... if I hear the motorcycles, I'd run into the woods. Either way, I'm getting out of here.
There's a squealing sound somewhere in the house, like a door
swinging open. Everyone ignores it, figuring it was just C.J.
CUT TO:
INT. THE HOUSE
The bathroom door opens and C.J. comes out. He turns to walk
back into the livingroom and walks right into the mysterious man,
who's standing there with his guns drawn, his sword in its sheath on his back.
C.J.
Jesus Christ!
MYSTERIOUS MAN
Tell me where the Lycan is.
C.J.
Who? What?
MYSTERIOUS MAN
The Lycan. I want it. You have it. Bring me to it, or die. There is no room on Earth for those who help the Lycan-Breed.
C.J.
Dude, I have no idea what you’re talking…
Without warning, the mysterious man whips the two guns up and shoots C.J. full of holes. C.J. falls to the bathroom floor dead.
MYSTERIOUS MAN
Have to be sure.
He puts his guns away and takes out his sword, walking over to C.J.’s body and kneeling down. He raises the sword up and swings down, decapitating C.J.
LANCE
(O.S.)
Holy shit!
TRIPS
(O.S.)
C.J.!
The man turns around to see the others standing in a nearby doorway,
looking at him. They had been drawn by the sounds of the gunshots.
Chris and Bruce are in the back of the group so they couldn't shoot
at him even if they wanted.
The man turns to the group and opens his mouth to say something, but before he can, they turn and run.
