Whoa!!! Look what Max Szoc found!!!!) THE JP2 SCRIPT!!!!!

Look for JP2 articles in upcoming issues of these fine publications: Disney Adventures, Ultra Game Players Magazine , and Premier Magazine. (thanks to Stephen Horan, Brent Woodland, and JPfan1 respectively)

Joshua Fitch says that this month's Sci-Fi Magazine says that there will be 7 dinosaurs in JP2.

Comic book fans will be happy to know that Issue #1 of Topps' LW comic will be $2.95 and feature a cover by fan favorite artist Walt Simonson. (thanks to Kyle)

If you're having trouble downloading the JP2 trailer here (2.5mb zip file), you can try to get the .MOV file here (2.9mb) instead. (Thanks to Chris for the backup server)

The results from last week's poll are in: The most popular movie of last year was Independence Day, with 21% of the vote. Coming in second was Star Trek: First Contact with 11%. Twister, Fargo, Dragonheart, and The English Patient followed close behind. The least voted-for movie? Broken Arrow. Well, I thought it was okay....

This week's poll question: Considering everything you've heard about JP2 so far, what do you think the movie will be like, compared to the first movie? Better/Worse than the first film? Let your vote be heard here!!!

I figured I should mention that Hard Copy chose Jurassic Park music to be played in the background during yesterday's story about the Heavens Gate cult. Oh yeah, why does the Heavens Gate webpage keep crashing Netscape? Answer: 39 ‹BODY› tags. (I didn't write it) : )

Drum-roll please: Here is the new JP2 trailer. Thanks to Pete Miller (of Pete's Movie Page) for converting it, Sean O' Grady (of "The Fifth Element") for sending it to me, and Chris for converting it to a .MOV. It's a 2.5 meg .MOV (compressed with pkzip).

According to Dreamworks, the dinosaurs in the upcoming PC game, Trespasser: Jurassic Park will be: "T-Rex, Utahraptor(Veloci-), Brachiosaur, Allosaur, Stegosaurus, Gallimimus, Trike, and hopefully Pachys and Compys!". (Thanks to "BBCompy" again)

Talking about Trespasser: Jurassic Park, the FAQ page on the official site says that the system requirements will be a "P-100 or 120, 16mb RAM, 4-6x CD, [and a] decent video card". I also noticed that, according to Dreamworks, Trespasser will actually look better without a 3-D graphics card!

According to Dave Paniagua (who has the distiction of working at the world's largest movie theater--the AMC 30 at the Ontario Mills Mall in Canada), when Ian is saying "Taking dinosaurs off this island is the worst idea....", the guy walking next to him is Doc Thorne, played by Arliss Howard. He also thinks that Eddie (Vince Vaughn) will be dino-chow in JP2.

More info from the toy fair: There will be a T-Rex figure that will can swallow a "chamber of some sort". There will also be a Stegosaurus with skin that can be ripped off, and another T-Rex with a "lab" playset that can be "examined" by taking off various parts of it. (Thanks to "BBCompy")

Dinoman spotted some new Lost World merchandise. "There are many varieties [of shirts]. One is a black shirt with the logo, one was a T-Rex with lightning behind it (looks like the one from the trailer) and on the back of the shirt it says 'Something Has Survived', the last type I saw was a grey shirt with the logo.

If you're looking for the JP2 poster, check out Class Act Posters. (thanks to Pete Miller)

Here's a picture of the Lost World Waterbottle from Gatsby's Page. You can order it on specially marked boxes of General Mills Cereals:

To add to yesterday's description of the cardboard advertisement for JP2, Jason says that every 2 minutes they would have sound effects of something running through a forest and things being ripped apart with people screaming mixed the sound of raptors squealing and chomping. in the middle cardboard cutout the foilage was pulled back to reveal the logo for the Lost World.

Dan Goldwasser reports that since Cinefex magazine is a quarterly publication, the story on JP2 won't hit newsstands until June.

The Trespasser website (the PC JP2 game) has been updated with new pics and info. (Thanks to Beau

I'm still looking for someone who has the new JP2 trailer in .MOV or .AVI format, or who can help me out with my video problem (see yesterday's news). If worse-comes-to-worse, we'll have to wait until this Friday, where the new trailer should be posted on the official site.

The main pages have been updated! Look for the symbols. I have also begun dating the updates, something I wish I'd have thought of awhile ago.

I added descriptions to all the pictures from last night's Entertainment Tonight on the New JP2 Trailer Page. The audio track of the trailer is now streaming. (thanks to Chris). Also, if anyone has ET on tape, and would like to make an .MOV of the trailer, it would be much appreciated.

An official source at Dreamworks stated that there are currently no plans to make a JP2 game for the Nintendo 64, despite the rumors.

You can buy the Lost World poster at www.ricksmovie.com for 18$ plus shipping. They are also currently looking for the hologram poster. (thanks to Max Szoc)

One of the cardboard promos spotted in theaters had "2 raptors heads poking out of foliage with flashing eyes". (Thanks to Chris Walls)

This month's Cinefex magazine (#70) is going to have an in-depth look at the making of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. If you've ever seen Cinefex, you know that it's a very high-quality (and very expensive, I might add), magazine, so it should be a good article packed with good pictures. You can probably find it at your local Barnes&Noble. (Thanks to Kyle)

Vince Vaughn was interviewed for this month's issue of Bazaar Magazine. (Thanks to Chris Baker) Excerpts:

Here's the deal with the video clip. Someone sent me the clip last night in .AVI format, but when I download and try to play it, it gives me an error "can not find 'VIDS:YV12' decompressor". I've tried to contact the person who made it, but he hasn't e-mailed me back yet--Someone told me that they used the wrong compressor, so only people with his video capture card can play it. If anyone knows exactly what to do, and wants to help out, please e-mail me.

Well, ET was just on, and they showed the new trailer, with no interruptions!!!! The only thing I really noticed in addition to the excellent description provided below was the following:

Here is the audio track to the trailer, in RealAudio 3.0 format. (If it's breaking up, you can download the file here [193kb])

More than a dozen pictures! Click here!

Some pictures from Gatsby's Page!

Tonight's Entertainment Tonight will have "our ticket to 'The Lost World'" so get ready with your VCR's! After the show, I'll have pictures and audio clips. Heck--if anyone wants to make a .MOV clip of the segment, that would be great. (See below for a description of the scenes in this preview). If you missed the sneak preview last night, here's a pic: (thanks to Krunker418)
Picture removed.

GoofyM1 actually went back to the theater with a camcorder and recorded the entire LW trailer! Unfortunately, he has no way of getting it on to the computer, but he did provide a very good, blow-by-blow description:

Whoa!!!!!!!!

Someone in the message board mentioned that they spotted Betty Crocker JP2 Fruit-Roll Ups in stores, which come with 2 collectable cards.

You can now only vote ONCE in the weekly poll. This is to prevent morons from voting for, say, "Star Trek: First Contact", oh...200 times! LOSER!
