"Pacific Rim" Production Company Legendary Pictures May Co-Finance JP4
Cinemablend is reporting Hollywood production company Legendary Pictures, who have helped finance many recent blockbusters including "Man of Steel", "The Dark Knight", and "Inception", may be interested in co-financing JP4 with Universal once their distribution contract with Warner Bros. expires next year. As the site notes, while "paperwork has yet to be signed", JP4 would fit well with Legendary, as they have already been confirmed to be working on the "Godzilla" reboot. Of course, its not known what impact (if any) this would have on production, though it's not hard to see how a new production company could come with a whole new round of script reviews and notes.
