3 Set Pictures, New Details Teased
In an posting that was actually hyped up hours ahead of time by producer Frank Marshall, EW.com has posted the "first exclusive images from the set" of JW, featuring Bryce Dallas Howard in full costume, a battered JP "Construction" vehicle, and, uh, a chair. It also includes a quote from director Colin Trevorrow: "Yesterday I was under a construction crane with Chris Pratt, covered with dirt, eyeballing the exact height of the dinosaur trying to kill him," he says. “We both cracked up laughing. Sometimes you just have to stop and let the joy take over.” UPDATE: Matt at the Dan's FB Group has posted the entire article from Empire magazine, which features a Q&A with Trevorrow. He reiterates that the film will have a "big, bad new dinosaur", but also adds, "That dinosaur is the result of not just man's hubris but man's curiosity and desire to entertain. That's all I can tell you." Asked if that means dinosaurs in JW have been genetically modified, he says, "I tell you nothing, sir.". Additionally, he talks more broadly about the JP series and how people never really realize that JP1 was a funny film. "I think that's why you get so scared," he says. "Ten, 15 minutes ago we were all laughing and having a nice piece of fish...and now suddenly we're going to die." He is coy about other questions, such as whether JW will take place at a "fully operational dinosaur park" (saying he "doesn't want to lie" if he answered). He also talks characters, saying Dr. Wu's role is "pretty crucial" and Pratt/Howard's characters are "both very vulnerable, honest...and very funny." He also says that Omar Sy plays Chris Pratt's "best friend" who "have some pretty cool action scenes together". check out the full thing here.
