The Simpsons Comics #30 features a parody of JP where Smithers suggest making clones of himself to do work. When the two enter a theater to see a "Mr. DNA" style show on the plan, Burns says, "Oh, goodie, a show! Mayhap it will be a cautionary tale of technology gone awry with spectacular effects and paper thin characters!" (From: Green Mamba)

Gingrich Suggests Building a Real JP
We here at DJP3P have historically not stepped into the political waters, though according to this article, we may have finally found a candidate we can whole heartily endorse. In Republican nominee candidate Newt Gingrich's 1995 book "To Renew America", he endorses fulfilling Michael Crichton's nightmare. "Why not aspire to build a real Jurassic Park?" he writes. "Wouldn't that be one of the most spectacular accomplishments of human history?" Now that's a platform we can all agree on: It'll only require overlooking his apparent racism, ethical lapses, and nutty tax plan.
