Alan Grant's New Nightmare Chapter 9
    By Vito Hardy

    Chapter 9 Unexpected Attack (1:41:04)

Hunter Miller led everyone out of the Safari Lodge with a gun in hand. Muldoon was right beside him with his gun. They had both desided to led the team of eight to escaping this island for now the second time. However, this time they had a time limit to where they would have to go by to escape. The two armed men lead everyone toward the small building that Hammond had called his Bungalow. That building would hopefully be save from preditors, but Muldoon knew in his heart that it wasn't.
Miller walked up to the door and opened it quickly to only have a plate thrown at him. Miller ducked the plate and looked up to see a woman standing at the door. She was short and was wearing cooking clothing.
"Maria," Muldoon said. "Thank God you're alive."
"Mr. Muldoon," Maria said so shocked that she ran up to Muldoon and hugged him. "I was afraid that you'd already left the island."
"Actually we did, but we ran into trouble and ended back here on the island."
"Is anyone else in there with you," Gennaro asked.
"No, all of the other cafeteria staff were killed by raptors on the way over here," Maria replied in a saddened tone. "I still don't understand how I made it."
"Well the important thing is that you're alive and that's one thing that we all have in common," Miller said. "Ok we should be fine here for now. Come on in."

Inside the Bungalow was very nicely furnished with several seperate rooms. A living cuarters, cafe, kitchen, restroom, and bedroom. Muldoon had never been in this room before. Hammond had never wanted Muldoon to see this place cause as Hammond said before it was just "too classy" for him. It apparently wasn't too classy for his great friend Henry Wu which was now dead because of Hammond's so called wonderful dream that he was still trying to make come true.
Lex and Tim sat with Grant on the couch in the living area. Ellie sat in a chair on the opposite side of the room. Gennaro and Kathy walked into the kitchen taking a short tour with Maria. Miller went to the window and looked out trying to see any oncoming danger. He then saw something in the air moving around near the building. He looked a little closer seeing wings gliding around. Miller looked confused about this new development and desided to check out the new development at hand. He went toward the door and opened it looking around.
Hunter Miller walked outside the Bungalow into a think fog that had settled over the island and stared up in the air looking around everywhere. He listened closely to the wind listening to hear anything coming. Suddenly a short flaping sound is heard in the distance. Miller looked toward that direction but is unable to see anything because the fog is in the path of view. Miller didn't understand why this fog had just recently appeared out of no where and wanted to know what the flapping sound was.
Robert Muldoon walked outside the Bungalow toward Miller wondering why he'd came outside. "What's wrong?"
"I'm not sure," Miller replied. "I saw something flying around out here, and a few seconds ago I heard an odd flapping sound and I can't see anything cause this damn-"
Suddenly the silence of the island was broken by a loud screaching sound coming right toward the two men. They both then see several Pteranodons swoop down right toward the two men. The men turn and start sprinting back toward the enterance to the Bungalow as fast as they can possibly go.
Muldoon turned around suddenly to hear Miller screaming. Muldoon saw Miller being attacked by the Pteranodons. They were pecking his whole body. Muldoon lifted his gun up toward the animals, but is then knocked down himself by another Pteranodon that came up from behind him. The animal then starts doing the same treatment to Muldoon while both men scream.
Donald Gennaro and Alan Grant then ran out the Bungalow with sticks toward the animals and then start beating the Pteranodons with the sticks as hard as they possibly can. This beating was causing the animals to loose their attack on Muldoon and Miller so they tried their best to escape the humans hitting them with sticks. Ellie, Kathy, and Maria then ran out the Bungalow and toward Muldoon and Miller picking them up and carrying them back toward the Bungalow. Grant and Gennaro took this oppurtunity to run themselves with sticks in hand.
The Pteranodons then turn around and start back toward the two escaping men chassing after them as fast as they can go, but their efforts were usless when the two men ran into the building and closed the door.

"What the hell are those animals doing out of their Aviary," Muldoon scowled. He was pacing back and forth while Ellie tried to clean the blood off his injuries to keep an infection from accuring.
"I'm afraid it's my fault," Grant replied. When the kids and I were trying to get back to the Visitor Center before we ended up at the Aviary and I'm afraid we were the ones that made them leave their habitat."
"But those animals are severally teritorial," Muldoon yelled. "They wouldn't just leave it because of some people entering their area."
"They believed that their teritory was invaded," Ellie said stopping from trying to clean Muldoon's injuries. "Some animals are like that. If they beleive that their teritory has been invaded they'll believe that they have to defend all areas around their own. That's why they're here now."
"I don't know if I'm just the only person that doesn't realize this or if I'm the only person here that accutally has a brain or not but the fact is we have to get those animals back in their habitat before they deside to leave this island," Gennaro said. "It they leave this island then there will be a huge disaster. Sense those animals are teritorial they'll kill thousands of people. We've got to do something about this."
"He's right," Grant said. "We have to get them back to the Aviary."
"Can either of you possibly tell me how in the world you plan to get them there," Kathy said from the other side of the room trying to clean Miller's wounds.
"There are still workmen alive on this island," Muldoon said. "We'll have them help us catch the bastards with the equipment on the island, and then we'll take them back to the Aviary and lock them in. The only thing is that we don't all need to go. I'll go with anyone willing to do so and everyone else will stay here. Who's with me?"
"I beleive I'll life dangerously one more time," Gennaro said smiling.
"I guess sense it's my fault in the first place I'll go," Grant said.
"Don't forget about me, " Miller said.
"No Sargent Miller," Muldoon said. "You need to stay here and protect the kids and ladies. We're the leaders of this team and one leader should stay with the other half of the team. Don't worry the three of us and the workmen can handle those flying bitches."
Robert Muldoon then exited the Bungalow with Grant and Gennaro not far behind, but before Grant left he turned toward Ellie who was smiling at him. Grant mouthed something to her and she smiled again and nodded. Grant turned back around and exited with the other two men.
