Alan Grant's New Nightmare Chapter 3
    By Vito Hardy

Chapter 3: The Visitor Center (3:00:00)

Alan Grant went through the clearing of the island seeing the Visitor Center in the distance. He looked at the ground around him seeing that the grass was lain out very strangely with some lighter textures of green in odd places.
"What in the world is all of these light green colors representive off," Grant asked.
"This was meant to be a golf course," Muldoon scowled. He was obviously not in the mood to talk about all of the amazing features of the island.
"Do you suppose there'll still be people here," Gennaro asked.
"It's doughtful," Grant replied. "Malcolm, Harding, and several workmen left the island in the other helicopter. Hammond, Wu, Regis, Nedry, and Arnold are all dead so I'd say that accounts for everyone doesn't it?"
"What about the Geneticists, Cafeteria staff, Guards, and the other workmen," Gennaro asked. There were more workmen on this island then they could fit in a military helicopter. Plus Dr. Malcolm would need extra room because of his injury."
"That's right," Muldoon said. "We never expected that. There may still be people here waiting to be picked up. We must be cautious."
Grant stopped and turned around to face Muldoon. "What do you mean be cautious? All we need to worry about is the dinosaurs. Why should we worry about the InGen staff?"
"That's what I'm talking about," Muldoon replied. "The dinosaurs are the least of our concern. If there are still InGen staff on this island then that means that they don't want to leave. If that's so, then we'll have problems getting another helicopter back here because the staff won't allow it."
"Do you think they'll actually stop us from wanting to get off the island," Sargent Miller asked.
"If the Costa Rican Government knew that there were still people here they'd force them to leave for sure," Muldoon said. "We'll have to do our best to make sure that no one realizes that we're still here."
Lex and Tim walked over to Grant and hugged him. He realized that they were shaking. They were severely scared, and Grant knew that this was going to be hard on them to have to return to the island that their grandfather had died on. Grant hugged them in return, and then returned his gaze to the four other adults.
"The Visitor Center is right over that rise," Grant said pointing in the direction they were to go. "Let's get this over with."

Alan Grant and the rest walked foward slowly toward the Visitor Center which they could now see in their sight. The building still gleamed in the sunlight. To them it could almost be paridise if it weren't for the animals that lived on it. They walked up to several bushes and palm trees that were placed infront of the building and ducked down behind them to hid themselves from possible view. Grant and company looked foward seeing no action at all.
"I'm going closer to where I can see the Safari Lodge," Muldoon wispered. "Anyone willing to come with me?"
"I'll go with you," Grant said.
"Count me in too," Gennaro said.
"Alright," Muldoon said turning around to face Ellie, Miller, and the two children. "You three try to make your way to the Control Room. Contact the mainland, the Costa Rican Government, hell contact Ian Malcolm for all I care, just send for a bloody rescue."
Ellie nodded and ushered the three other people forward toward the enterence to the Visitor Center. Muldoon unshouldered his gun and leaded with Gennaro and Grant not far behind. Gennaro so close that this makes Muldoon turn around. "Now I know we're close Donald, but not that bloody close! Back up!"
Gennaro did so feeling out of place. Muldoon moved farther forward ducking behind trees and shrubery. Grant noticed the Serenna Veriforman plants in the area that they were at. "Let's move away from these. Ellie says they're posionous."
They did so moving away from the prehistoric and posionous plants. The Safari Lodge then came into sight as they stopped and stared through the bushes and to their amazment they saw the unbelievable. There were several workmen trying to repair the fence around the Safari Lodge, while others were on the roof repairing the bars from the skylight that were in Malcolm's room when the Velociraptors were bitting into them. At the center off all the repairs standing just outside the enterance to the Lodge was a short man wearing white clothing stained with blood. Muldoon wiped his eyes trying to see if they were playing tricks on him while he watched what he saw.
Grant then saw something from his vantage point and Gennaro realized it. "What do you see Dr. Grant," the lawyer asked.
    "He's still alive," Grant replied.
    "Who's still alive," Gennaro asked.
Just then the man in white turned around to revile to Gennaro and Muldoon that the man was an old man with balding white hair and a white beard. They automatically recognized him as the CEO of InGen and owner of Jurassic Park, John Hammond.
