Alan Grant's New Nightmare Chapter 12

Chapter 12 The Park (0:53:29)
Alan Grant drove the maintance vehicle down the park road as fast as he could wondering what would happen next.
"Where's Robert," Ellie asked confused while she looked around.
"I'm afraid we lost him Ellie," Grant said. "The Rex attacked us on our way out of the Aviary. We tried everything to get out of there without death but he just didn't make it. That's why we only have two vehicles now. The other one was turned over by the rex and attacked. Gennaro was barely able to make it out of that alive. I blame myself for what happened. He was in my grasped and the rex overpowered me."
"Don't blame yourself Alan," Ellie said. "Only Superman would've been able to overpower that rex."
"You don't understand Ellie," Grant said. "He saved our lives I don't know how many times while here and now he's gone. I don't think we'll be able to survive this now."
"Don't talk like that Alan," Ellie commanded. "We will survive this. Don't worry. Muldoon wouldn't want you to give up like this just cause he's parished. You know that he wouldn't."
Grant sighed. She was right. He just needed to worry now about getting everyone else that was still alive off the island alive and before the Costa Rican's came and destroyed this island. "Where is this lab?"
"Kathy said it was at the Pteranodon Aviary," Ellie replied. "Those animals were Segnosaurs. They were part of a big project put forth by Dr. Wu to make new animals that weren't already on the island. They're project failed because those animals were to dangerous as well as others. When I asked what other species there were she said that she didn't know. Apparently this lab was around before she arrived so she never saw it. It's really only a myth to her but she says that it's the only possiblility for where those things came from."
Grant shook his head. "I hope she's not right about this, cause if she is, we might have worse danger ahead of us, and I can only image what dinosaurs could be more ferocious then a Velociraptor."
******The Myth******
The Mysterious Lab loomed and shined in the bright light of the tropical daylight sun. Everyone in the team were in awe at the enormous building that stood before them and wondered why they hadn't seen this building days before now and also to why the building hadn't been destroyed like Kathy said it was. There were fourteen people in this horrified team that were standing before the building. Seven workmen amongst them. The rest was Grant, Gennaro, Ellie, Kathy, Miller, and the kids.
Kathy walked up to the buildings large door enterance seeing an access card slot. The other people came up behind her.
"Try your card," Gennaro said.
"I'm thinking about doing that," Kathy replied. "I'm afraid though that this building is so old that my card will be useless."
"Might as well try and hope that it works," Ellie said.
"Ok," Kathy said. She took her card out of her pants pocket and inserted it into the card hole. The red light on the door turned green and opened on it's own with a creeking sound giving a cold chill to everyone in the team. Kathy entered with Sargent Miller beside her holding his gun ready to fire. Grant and Ellie entered together arm in arm with the kids and Gennaro not far behind. The workmen all stayed in the back holding guns and sweeting heavily.
Inside the building was dark and gloomy. Everything was hard to see. The hole building looked like a tomb in Egypt almost. There were no offices, no genetic equipment, nothing that gave it a sign that it was an InGen complex.
Up ahead was a large door that simply said "MAIN ENTERANCE". Everyone crowds around the door enterance getting ready to go inside. Kathy inserted her card in the slot. The red light changes to green. Miller slowly opened the door to see a large lighted section to the building.
The lighten area was filled with several areas of foliage, rocks, leaves, and a small river. All of this was in the interior of this one large building that no one had obviously knew about for quite a long time. The people slowly enter the room, Miller and the workmen guns in hand. Everyone was shaking at the knees and were scared shitless to the wonder of what was in this building. They were all hoping that whatever was in this place had left the same way the segnosaurs had.
Suddenly a low and hard breathing sound was heard from the foliage in the distance. Everyone stood completely still looking streight forward looking at the now moving foliage.
"What is it," Ellie wispered. "Is that a Tyrannosaur?"
"I don't think so," Grant wispered. "It sounds bigger."
"What could possibly be bigger then a rex," Gennaro asked out loud.
A loud roar was then heard from the foliage. "I think you just got your answer Mr. Gennaro," Grant said. "Everyone out of here!"
A humongous animal with a crockadilian snout, long arms, and sail protruding from it's back came running out of the foliage at the people coming full speed. Everyone turned and ran for the exit to the building only to have another large animal get in their way. This one looking similiar to the first one, however did not have the sail on it's back. The fourteen people ducked and ran to the side of the complex trying to escape the mouths of both animals.
The people ran into the foliage only to hear a workman go crashing to the ground from an animal that no one could even see. The people saw the man go down screaming and the next thing they knew they saw blood driping down from an animal's jaws that weren't even there. Then the animal came out of it's hiding to reveal it to be a medium sized animal with a colorful texture and horns sticking out of it's head and nose.
Everyone continued to run now from this new animal. They came out at another clearing this time to meet up with some herbiviors that were very familiar to Grant and Ellie. They were Ankyalosaurs. The animals were eating peacefully when the people came out.
Suddenly both of the huge monsters came charging out of the foliage at the people disturbing the Ankys as a huge battle began against the Ankys and the two huge monsters. The people all continued to run now back in the direction that they'd came to get out of the building. The two monsters noticed and forget about the Ankys and started off back toward the people.
Alan Grant was in the lead holding Ellie's hand while all of the people continued running back toward the exit. The animal with the sail roars a defening roar as it catches up to all of the people and started trying to bite at people as they dodge the animal and continued running.
Donald Gennaro was near the back of the group with several of the workmen as they tried to fire their weopons at the monster. Gennaro knew that it was no use to fire the guns cause the monster would keep coming. Suddenly he triped over one of the workmen in front of him and they both feel. Gennaro rolled out of the way and the sailed animal then brought it's head down on the poor workman as his screams were silenced. Gennaro got back on his feet and continued running trying to catch up to everyone else were now exiting the door that lead back to safety. Gennaro ran low on breath trying to catch up listening to Grant and the others yelling for him to hurry. He reached out and jumped for the door landing on the ground near the door and crawed the rest of the way.
"Hurry Donald," Ellie screamed. "It's getting closer!"
Donald Gennaro continued to craw inching closer and closer by the minute. The animal was catching up. Gennaro could feel it's breath and foot steps getting closer to him. He reached out for Grant's hand which he received. Grant and the others began to pull when suddenly a searing pain was felt in Gennaro's legs as he screamed and was pulled back into the room and into the mouth of the sailed monster where Donald Gennaro was silenced permanentely.
