Alan Grant's New Nightmare Chapter 10-11

Chapter 10 Pterasaur Roundup (1:25:55)
Robert Muldoon drove the very large maintance vehicle while two more were moving behind him being controled by the workmen. Muldoon had had a very hard time getting the workmen away from the Safari Lodge because of Hammond's arguements, but when Muldoon had told him that the Pteranodons might try to leave the island Hammond was practically screaming at the workmen to get them to leave the Lodge.
Donald Gennaro was sitting beside him in the passenger seat staring foward wondering what would happen next. He looked out the sideview mirror to see Alan Grant driving the vehicle behind them and all of the workmen hanging off of the back of each vehicle. Gennaro looked up in the sky seeing several of the flying reptiles gliding above them.
"There they are Robert," Gennaro said. "What are we going to do?"
"The workmen will basically do everything," Muldoon said. He then leans out the window still driving. "Ok all of you, you know what to do! Use those nets to trap the animals and bring them down. Then tie the animals to the vehicle and we'll begin carrying them back to the aviary where they belong."
The workmen do as told. In each vehicle a workmen works the controls for the net to be released. The workmen aim the nets at presise locations and fire the nets hitting right on each animal.
"Bullseye," a workmen screams with delight.
The Pteranodons shake feriously trying to get out of the nets. They try breaking them with their beaks, however are shocked by electrified fields around the nets.
"How is that possible," Gennaro asked looking at the sparks.
"All it is is a defence mechanism that when bitten into sets off with electricity untill the hold is let go. See the Pteranodons have gave up and all we have to do now is bring them down." Muldoon stepped out of the vehicle along with Gennaro. They both stare up at the amazing sight before them. A cranking sound is heard as the workmen begin to bring the nets back down toward the vehicles.
The Pteranodons tried to resist this but are unable to force themselves free. They finally gave up and were brought down on the vehicles. The workmen tied them all down and started off toward the Aviary.
The Maintance Vehicles pulled up to the large and beautiful Pteranodon Aviary and stopped the vehicles. All of the workmen jumped off and the drives in each vehicle jumped out as well. They all take hold of each Pteranodon as the animals tried to resist and ended up scratching several of the people with their claws. The animals are thrown in the Aviary through the main gate and are locked in by Muldoon.
"I'll make sure that they can no longer get out of here," Muldoon said. "This is the only possible enterance for any of the animals so now nothing comes in and nothing comes out."
Suddenly everyone heard a familiar roar coming from the distance. "Everyone back in your vehicles," Muldoon screamed. "Get out of here!" The workmen ran to the vehicles just as the Tyrannosaurus Rex came crashing out of the foliage after all of the people. The Rex roars and bits down trying to get ahold of anyone that it could catch. Muldoon and Gennaro jump in the first vehicle and start moving away from the animal. The Tyrannosaur chases in hot pursuit going faster and faster by the second. The animal then rams into the sit of the vehicle knocking it on it's side. The rex then went for the front of the vehicle tore the driver's door off. The rex sniffs around trying to smell something inside. All the while Muldoon and Gennaro are both on the oposite side of the front area trying to get bullets in the gun.
The Rex then stomped her large foot on the side of the vehicle smashing into the ground. Several workmen in the other two vehicles are shoting the capture equipment at the animal during this and it took the rex's attention away from Muldoon's vehicle. The Tyrannosaur started running after the other two vehicles.
Muldoon and Gennaro took this oportinity to jump out of the vehicle they were in and to start for the nearest vehicle to them. The rex noticed them running and turned back toward them roaring as it ran for them. Gennaro then jumped on the vehicle he was closest two while workmen pulled him upward onto it. Muldoon still ran trying to catch up, but the rex was too fast catching up to him. Muldoon knew this and started running in the other direction avoiding the rex's mouth as it tried to chomp down on him.
Muldoon took a different route around the clearing making his way back toward the other vehicle that Grant was driving. Grant reached over to the door and opened the passenger door for Muldoon. The game warden jumped for the vehicle and grabed hold. Grant let out one of his hands to let Muldoon in, but suddenly Muldoon started screaming. Grant looking up with horror to see the rex with Muldoon's legs in it's mouth. The rex pulled on the man trying to get him out of the vehicle. Grant tried to grab hold of Muldoon's hand but was unable to grab hold and the man that had saved his life was horribly ripped out of the vehicle and into the mouth of the rex.
"MULDOON," Grant yelled. He couldn't believe what he'd just saw. Robert Muldoon, the great white hunter from Kenya had just been killed by The Tyrannosaurus Rex. Alan Grant was now in such huge fear of his and everyone elses lives now that it was almost too much for the man to bear.
The two maintance vehicles made their way back to the Visitor Center less one brave man that was indeed their only chance off the island in Grant's opinion.
Chapter 11 The Bungalow (1:06:42)
Ellie Sattler paced around the Bungalow floor looking out the window occasionally to see if Grant and the others had came back yet. Kathy was sitting beside Hunter Miller still trying to get the blood to completely stop from his injuries. Miller was badly hurt, but not enough for his life to be at risk. Maria had just stepped back in the room with a cupe of coffee which she gave to Ellie. She also had a bowl of water that she gave to Kathy to use on the wounds. Maria saw how sad Ellie looked and went over to try to cheer her up.
"I understand how you feel," Maria said. "You are worried about the others. Don't worry. They can take those flying mosters out."
Ellie looked over at Maria and smiled. She didn't really know what Ellie was going through. New feelings were entering into Ellie's head and constantly spinning around over and over again. She was thinking about her fiance back on the mainland and wondering if he was truely who she was meant to spend the rest of her life with. She then thought of Alan, and realized that there was more between them then just a master-apprentice partnership. Ellie had worked with Alan in the Montana Badlands for several years and had only thought of him as a very good friend, but for some reason she now thought more of him. It seemed that a relationship was begining to blossum between them from all of the Chaos on the island. She shivered at that last thought. Ian Malcolm's theories were finally getting to her. She sighed and continued to stare out the window hoping and preying that Alan was ok.
Suddenly something went across the window at a very fast pace bracking the glass. Ellie and Maria jumped back screaming. They saw a large green claw was what had came through the building. They all feared it was the Dilophosaurs, the Velociraptors, or worse. A head then peered through the window staring right at them. Ellie hadn't seen this animal during the tour and if she was correct about what animal it was it wasn't listed on John Arnold's computer in the control room.
The animal then roared at the six people inside. It tried to break through the wall and into the Bungalow, but was unable to fit. Suddenly they all realize that they are surrounded by several of the monsterous creatures. They were pounding on the door, breaking through more windows, and ramming at the walls causing pictures to fall to the floor and the glass in the frames to break.
"Maria," Ellie commanded. "Take the kids in another room away from the door and hide. We'll take care of these things."
Maria did so leading Lex and Tim out of the living area and into the small bedroom. Ellie and Kathy helped Miller to his feet as they all three stood waiting for one of the animals to blast through the door.
"What are those things," Ellie asked.
"They're Segnosaurs," Kathy screamed.
"Why weren't they on the original list," Ellie asked.
"We thought they were all destroyed in the original lab building," Kathy replied. "We had another lab not to far from the Pteranodon Aviary were several genetic tests were performed creating new animals. The Segnosaurs were one of the several species that were tested. We ended up destroying that lab because the animals we created were to vicious to be put on the tour."
The door was being banging on very fast while the animals roared outside the building. The walls were almost like they were trying to cave in around them.
"If those animals survived then there's a possibility of other survivals," Miller said. "What were the other animals tested?"
"I don't know," Kathy said. "I hadn't been hired to work on this island yet. I had only heard the tell from Dr. Wu. We'd have to actually go to the lab and find out!"
"That's our only choice," Ellie yelled. "We have to know what were dealing with, but first we've got to get out of this Bungalow!"
Suddenly a loud crashing sound was heard from the bedroom where Maria and the kids were. Loud screams were projected into the other room. Ellie and company ran into the bedroom to see with horror that the segnosaurs had broken through the wall in the Bunglaw and one of them had jumped on Maria and were now eating her as she screamed. The kids ran to the other three adults. Ellie and company turned away from that room and ran toward the front door. Miller grabed his gun and got ready as Ellie opened the front door and the rushing of several Segnosaurs came jumping through the door at the people.
Hunter Miller opened up on the creatures shooting at each one that came through the door. Everyone jumped and evaded the monsters as the ran out the door of the Bungalow and ran for the Visitor Center.
The segnosaurs turned and exited the Bungalow and gave chase to the fleeing people. Everyone ran for their lives past the Visitor Center running for the Safari Lodge.
The two maintance vehicles came speeding down the maintance road returning from the Pteranodon Aviary. Alan Grant was driving the first vehicle with Donald Gennaro in the back area with a few workmen. The remaining workmen were controling the other maintance vehicle.
Grant sighed with relieve when he saw the Safari Lodge come into view. He knew that he'd be able to see Ellie back at the Bungalow shortly. However, to Grant's eyes he was amazed to see her much earlier. Ellie Sattler was running with Sargent Miller, Kathy, and the two kids. Grant was wondering why in the world they weren't at the Bungalow and were the Maria woman was sense she wasn't with them.
Then from the over the rise that the five humans had came from came several very odd animals with feathers all over them. The odd animals gave Grant a sense of uncomfort. Grant assumed that these animals were hostile sense Ellie and company were running from them.
Ellie Sattler noticed the maintance vehicles returning. Ellie was a bit worried cause three vehicles were taken out and now there were only two. She then saw Alan driving the first one and got new faith as she ran.
"Hurry," Ellie yelled. "Get to the vehicles!"
The five scared people ran for their lives as fast as they could from the monsters that were chassing them. The animals kept getting closer and closer to them by each second. Tim was having a very hard time getting any where with his run. He'd been through so much on this island already and was now running from new dinosaurs that he'd never saw before. He continued to run along side his poor younger sister hand in hand toward the vehicles.
Ellie was the first to reach the vehicles as she hoisted herself up on the first vehicle that Grant was driving. She pulled the door open and jumped inside with Miller not to far behind her. Kathy jumped on the back of the vehicle with the helpful hand of Donald Gennaro grabing her. The kids were last to finally arrive at the first vehicle. Tim jumped up quickly avoiding the mouth of one of the monsters. Lex grabed hold of the side of the vehicle, but then felt her weight pushing her back toward the ground. She looked toward her feet realizing that one of the animals had grabed her foot in it's mouth and was pulling hard at her. Gennaro and Kathy began a tug of war with the Segnosaurus and Lex was the rope.
One of the workmen at the side of the vehicle grabed a spear from the floor board of the vehicle and stabed the animal with the spear. This forced the animal to let go of the hold and fall to the ground as several of the animals stop the chase to now feed off their fallen comrade. The people in the vehicles cheer as they leave the area going off back into the park to find the mythological lab that Kathy had told Ellie about.
