    1st Annual FanFiction Poster's Choice Awards
    By JPJunkee

    *Orchestra music plays, and JPJunkee walks out onto the stage wearing a black leather jacket and sunglasses. He approaches the podium in the middle of the stage and smiles. Palm trees sway in the wind, at all sides of the stage.*

    JPJunkee: “Welcome, to the First Annual FanFiction Poster's Choice Awards! “

    *the crowd cheers*

    JPJunkee: “And I don’t think there could be a better place to have the show, then at everyone's favorite island; Isla Sorna!”

    *Yvonne stands up in her seat*

    Yvonne: “I like Isla Nublar more!”

    JPJunkee: "Shut up you, this is my show!. . . . Now then! We are here to celebrate writing! DJP3P has many members with great writing talent, and tonight, those writers will be rewarded for their long work and dedication to their stories. All categories were very close, some of the winners only being determined in the very last few moments of voting. I won't be telling you who came in second with the votes though. . . because that's for me to know and for you to, well. . . for you to go insane wondering about. Okay? Alright! But, now, it is time to find out the winners! Here to present the first award of the evening, Dark Hunter."

    *The crowd cheers as Dark Hunter walks onto the stage. He has a big grin plastered upon his face. In his hand is an envelope.*

    Dark Hunter: "It is no mean feat to create an action sequence, especially if you have many characters in your story, you have to keep an eye on what they would do when they would do it and somehow explain this to your readers.

    It can also be very difficult to explain to your audience what you mean to achieve by action, you have to explain things in great detail, but not too much less they become bored.

    The members nominated for Best Action Sequence have done all of the above to create some of the best well thought out action sequences ever seen here at DansJP3Page.

    The Host's incredible final action sequence in Triumvirate, taking place in Magnopolis, it is seamlessly created to tell the reader what is happening in such a way that they can see what is happening when. Another thing that makes The Host's story so much more readable, is the dialogue, even in the action sequences it is entirely believable. It deserves it's nomination, not only for it's description but for its variety, taking place in many different places, flying taxis, elevators, hallways and the city itself.

    JPJunkee's Shadows of History took Jurassic Park readers by storm, here was a new writer who had the flavor to create something different and show the reader an amazing story. Perhaps the most amazing action sequence in this story takes place in one of the most unlikely places imaginable, underground chamber in which the heroes fight or try to escape a deformed Spinosaurus, what is so amazing is that the dinosaur is literally falling apart, a worthy nomination.

    Out of all the nominations it is Dino_Dude's that is the most intriguing, who would have thought that an action sequence could be so enthralling? Fantasy writers here at Dan's will never look at writing fantasy the same way, especially after reading The Seventh Elite's fight scene between the evil and aptly named EvilGrinch and the hero Jurassiclaw, who face off. What follows is nothing short of mind boggling, flying, hand-to-hand combat and energy beams make up a small part of what is an amazing action scene.

    Then we have Yvonne, a little known member boosted to FanFiction stardom when she wrote a little story named Jurassic Park: New Beginnings. The first main action sequence including the dinosaur, elamsmosarus, (or marine animal to those who care) is a stunner. The descriptions are perfect and the creature is portrayed excellently. One of the most amazing things about this action sequence is the fact that the action never dulls, it is always high quality.

    Then the final nomination, we have once again The Host, again nominated for his amazing Triumvirate. This time we have the second biggest action sequence (the biggest being the first nomination, this one taking place at MacGuffin Base), perhaps the most amazing thing about this sequence is the blending from above water to below water and the descriptions that explain this, the best part of this action sequence that really cannot be described without reading it is the amazing underwater tunnel waterfall sequence (inside the base) it can only really be read to be believed.

    All of the authors nominated for best action sequence deserve it and all should be excited and happy that they were chosen out of the fine group of writers we have here at Dan's. All I can say now is, may the best man, or woman win!"

    *Dark Hunter opens the envelope.*

    Dark Hunter: "And the winner is, the Deformed Spinosaurus scene from JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History!"

    *Dark Hunter smiles, nods, and walks off stage. Then JPJunkee walks back up to the podium.*

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "Wow. . . I won an award. . . err, I mean. . . Now, I will be presenting the award for Best Editing. . . which is kind of ironic, seeing as how poorly I tend to edit my stories at times (I'm sure there are problems with this show as far as editing goes, as well). A story with good editing flows much more fluently, and is all the more enjoyable to read. A poorly edited story causes readers to have to think too much, and try to figure out what the writer was intending to say, with their poorly worded sentences and incorrect grammar. But now, here are the nominees for Best Editing:
    The Seventh Elite by Dino_Dude
    TRIUMVIRATE by The Host
    Alan & Ellie by Yvonne
    JP:TE Book V Completion by AlanGrant5
    Jurassic Park: X-Factor by Drucifer67
    And the winner is. . . . . wait for it. . . .
    Alan & Ellie by Yvonne! Congratulations, Yvonne!"
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "And now to present the award for Best DanFic, from the DPFF’S Slayer, Creator, Executive Producer, Director and Star, Ben Smythe."

    *JPJunkee walks off the stage.

    SLAYER (Angel) by Darling Violetta plays – Ben Smythe walks out accompanied by Para-Girl. Ben is dressed in a tux, as Para is dressed in a very elegant navy-blue dress.

    The crowd cheers and claps for them.

    Ben and Para approach the podium.*

    Ben: "To make a fanfic that sprawls off with so many stories is one thing."
    Para: "But to be able to take members from the Dan’s JP3 Universe and create a fanfic…well that’s one thing too."
    Ben: "From tales of deception to battles in Middle Web…"
    Para: "From a very strange doctor to wars between sites…"
    Ben: "Here are the nominee’s for Best Danfic."
    Para: "The Site Wars Saga – Vader"

    *CAMERA pans around to Vader, sitting comfortably, smiling at the camera and clapping.*
    Ben: "The Lord of the Sites: The Fellowship of the Page by INFESTATION."
    *INFESTATION lifts his arms in the air, very excited.*
    Para: "The Misadventures of Dr. Junkee – JPJunkee"
    *CAMERA zooms in on JPJunkee, standing backstage, he’s smiling, giving a thumbs up.*
    Ben: "Site Wars: The JohnArnold Prequels by Rick Arnold."
    *Rick looks up at Ben, Ben gives him a thumbs up with a big cheesy smile, and Rick laughs.*
    Para: "And The Seventh Elite by Dino_Dude."
    *Dino_dude sits calmly as well, just smiling and clapping – having a good time.
    BEN & PARA look at each other and they both place their hands on the envelope. They tear open the envelope and say –
    Ben & Para: "And the winner for Best Danfic goes to The Seventh Elite written by Dino_Dude!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    *JPJunkee walks back on stage, with a scowl on his face*
    JPJunkee: "I lost. . . curses. . . . oh well. . . life must go on! Now, please give a warm welcome to, Vader."
    *Vader walks up on stage, JPJunkee shakes Vader's hand, then Junkee walks off stage. Vader smiles and approaches the podium*
    Vader: "Whereas most JP Fanfics rely on already established characters from our beloved movies, there are still many authors who display some extra creativity in bringing to life brand-new, original characters into the JP world. Now before I present the award for Best Original Character in a JP Fanfic, I wanted to say that even though Junkee & Yvonne have had several "quarrels" in the past, and are up against each other in this category, they still were able to greet each other politely back stage . . . followed by a brutal beating involving wine and giant blocks of cheese. ;)
    The nominees are :
    Rob Tandy in Yvonne's Alan and Ellie
    Leah Owens in JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History
    William Bradford in drucifer67's Jurassic Park X-Factor
    Patrick Bodan in Yvonne's Jurassic Park New Beginnings
    Wes Brunell in JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History
    And the winner is. . . .
    Rob Tandy from Yvonne's Alan and Ellie!."
    ~~~~~~~~

    *Yvonne is walking backstage, with her latest awards in hand. A broad smile is upon her face, as she walks up to a table with glasses of wine. She picks up a glass, and begins to walk away, but JPJunkee blocks her path*

    Yvonne: "Oh, hi, Junkee."

    *JPJunkee says nothing, he just gives Yvonne an evil glare.*

    Yvonne: "Tough luck on not winning that last one, eh?"

    *Yvonne held up her award, and smiled again.*

    Yvonne: "Better luck next time."

    *JPJunkee removes a block of cheese from his jacket pocket*

    Yvonne: "Um, what's that for?"

    *JPJunkee turns to the camera*

    JPJunkee: "Cut to commercial."

    *JPJunkee approaches Yvonne menacingly, with the block of cheese in hand*.

    ~~~~~~~~
    Commercial break!
    "There comes a time in every Award Show, where you just need to get up and get a drink. . . but you don't want to miss any part of the show, so you just end up dying of thirst. Statistics show, that deaths due to ignoring ones thirst in favor of not missing a moment of the awards, are on the rise! Help save yourself, by utilizing this unnecessary commercial break, to go and get a Pepsi (it's better than Coke, don't ya know?). Thank you, that is all." --- Paid for by the Pepsi Cola company.
    Now, back to the Show!
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "And now, please welcome, Drucifer!"

    *Drucifer walks up to the podium*

    Drucifer: "No story is complete without an antagonist, and no hero is complete without an enemy. A story's main character may struggle with his inner self, or he may struggle against circumstances presented by nature, but who can argue that the best stories pit a stalwart hero against a ruthless nemesis?

    The villains. You know them. You love them. You knew you were supposed to be rooting for Luke Skywalker, but Darth Vader was just too cool…

    Tonight we recognize the great villains of Dan's JP3 Page, and the fine authors who brought them to life.
    The nominees in the category of Best Villain are:

    Patrick Bodan in Yvonne's Jurassic Park New Beginnings

    Lewis Dodgson in JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History

    The CEO in The Host's TRIUMVIRATE

    JPJunkee in dark hunter's lightGREYdark

    Dawson in The Host's TRIUMVIRATE

    ….and the winner is….
    Lewis Dodgson in JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History."

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPunkee: "And now, welcome Dino_Dude, who will be presenting the award for Best Hero!"
    *Drucifer walks off the stage, and Dino_Dude walks on*
    Dino_Dude: "For every great story, there must be an equally great character, that without fail, handles any situation, no matter how grim or hopeless, and still come out on top. This character is in many circumstances, one of the soul elements that truly holds a story together, because let's face it, without a hero, who would beat the baddies? And now, I am here to present the Award for 'Best Hero' in a Dan's JP3 Page Fan Fiction.
    The nominees are...
    Ben Summers in Ben's SLAYER
    Alan Grant in JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History
    Jack Davies in The Host's TRIUMVIRATE
    Alan Grant in Yvonne's Jurassic Park New Beginnings
    Ian Malcolm in JPJunkee's Jurassic Park Shadows of History
    And the winner, of 'Best Hero' in a Dans JP3 Page Fan Fiction, is....
    Jack Davies in The Host's TRIUMVIRATE!"
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "And now. . . Yvonne!"

    *JPJunkee walks off the stage and Yvonne approaches the podium. On her forehead, there is the faint imprint of Swiss Cheese.*

    Yvonne: "Short stories are creative little pieces of written words. A spark of an idea is developed in the author's mind, then it's nurtured into a concept. Generally, the said concept is, well -- short ... and almost always that mini concept ends in such a way where the reader is swept away and taught a lesson or two. These types of stories can be (but not limited to) comedic, frightening, realistic, or delve into pure fantasy ... while others can be all of the above and more. In many cases, short stories can immerse a reader into a different world from their own, captivate them, and entertain them for a small amount of time, causing the reader to think about the events, even hours after the reading of the last word.

    I know you all are anxious to get to the winners, but I have a personal thought about this category. Since I cannot write a short story (I've tried and when it's only half done, it's already 40 pages), I would like to add that I admire every single person in this category, and every person who has ever submitted a short story to Dan's. Good luck to all of the nominees.

    Now, let's take a look at those said nominees for Best Short Story this year:

    Wash written by PunkNerd

    Toys written by drucifer67

    Pact written by PunkNerd

    INCITE: MASKS written by dark hunter

    A Boy's Best Friend written by PunkNerd

    And the winner, for Best Short Story is. . . .
    Toys written by drucifer67. Congratulations!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "And now, please welcome, Carnotaur3."
    *Carnotaur3 walks slowly to the podium*
    Carnotaur3: "One of the most important aspects of fan-fiction is details and descriptions. They are both linked to make the story flow at a pace most suitable for any reader. If these two grand elements are not met, the reader will lose interest or simply not understand what's going on in that person's mind or what he or she is doing in that particular scene. Perhaps we all fall in the category of this in that we try so hard to meet the two elements required for such a successful venture, but when it comes down to the end, we have only a few that conquer the mastery of details and descriptions in such astounding glory.
    The nominees for best Details and Descriptions, are:
    The College Years written by Vader
    Alan & Ellie written by Yvonne
    Jurassic Park Shadows of History written by JPJunkee
    JP:TE Book V Completion written by AlanGrant5
    Silhouette of Darkness written by Jedi A. Malcolm
    And the winner is. . . .
    JP:TE Book V Completion by AlanGrant5."
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "And now Parasaur.w will present the award for Best Dialogue."

    *Parasaur.w walks to the podium with a smile*

    Parasaur.w: "In FanFiction, like most other literary originalities, dialogue is a key platform with which an author may convey the events, descriptions, and underlying themes of the story. A masterful dialogue can send a reader into fits of laughter or weepy lament, anger or joy. It’s been said the mark of a great writer is a well-crafted dialogue. And certainly, these nominees are no exception. So, without further delay, here are the nominees, for Best Dialogue:

    SLAYER by Ben

    Triumvirate by The Host

    The College Years by Vader

    Jurassic Park X-Factor by Drucifer67

    Alan and Ellie by Yvonne

    And the winner is. . . .
    Jurassic Park X-Factor by Drucifer67!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "And now, to present the award for Best Character Adaptation. . . Malcolm(admin)!"
    *Malcolm(admin) approaches the podium*
    Malcolm(admin): "Since the beginning of Dan's JP3 Page writers put their personal touch on adapting their favorite characters from Jurassic Park and/or other famous novels. But the better writers put forth great effort in bringing the true spirit of the character they are portraying in their fanfic, which is not always an easy task.
    And the nominees for BEST CHARACTER ADAPTATION:
    Alan Grant in Alan & Ellie by Yvonne
    Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park: Shadows of History by JPJunkee
    Hannibal Lecter in The Origin by Carnotaur3
    Gandalf in Return of the King by Aragorn
    Alan Grant in Jurassic Park: New Beginnings by Yvonne
    And the winner for BEST CHARACTER ADAPTATION is
    Alan Grant in Yvonne's Alan and Ellie. Congratulations Yvonne!"
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "And now, please welcome back, Yvonne. As she will be presenting yet another award this evening, this time it will be the aptly titled, Best FanFic Based Upon a Different Series or Franchise Other Than JP. . . . that was a mouth full. I swear next year, this thing is going to be called the "Other Award". Anyway, here is Yvonne!"

    Yvonne approaches the podium.

    Yvonne: "The idea behind a fanfic is to revisit something familiar in the writer's mind. He or she wants to go back and either ... 1) change and/or alter things, 2) create a whole new story with the same characters, 3) create an alternate universe with the basic concepts of the original story and/or show, or 4) simply try to explain what they think may happen in the grand scope of things.

    At Dan's JP3 Page, a lot of the fanfics revolve around ... surprise! ... Jurassic Park. But there are also quite a few talented writers that have delved into writing fanfics of other various topics. These are eloquently titled "Best Fanfic Based On A Different Franchise Or Series Other Than JP".

    So, without further ado, the nominees for Best Fanfic Based On A Different Franchise Or Series Other Than JP are ...

    X-MEN The Mutant Chronicles written by INFESTATION

    The Return of the King written by Aragorn

    SLAYER written by Ben

    Beyond the Gates of Horn and Ivory written by Ambrose

    Mutant High written by PunkNerd

    And the winner is ...
    SLAYER written by Ben!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "Hmm. . . . only about eight minutes (or pages, if you prefer) into the show and the producers are already telling me to hurry up. . . . okay so it's not the producers, I've got a burrito burning on the stove, but oh well. Anyway! Please welcome back, Carnotaur3. . . . yes. . . welcome back CARNOTAUR3!
    *Junkee taps his foot on the floor, and crosses his arms, impatiently waiting.*
    JPJunkee: "Where the bloody hell are you, Carnotaur3?!"
    *Junkee turns to Yvonne as she walks off the stage*
    JPJunkee: "Yvonne! Where is he?"
    Yvonne: "How the hell should I know?"
    JPJunkee: "You wrote two speeches. . . hell, that almost makes you a co-host."
    Yvonne: "No it doesn't!"
    JPJunkee: "Find Carnotaur3, now! We're running out of time!"
    *Just then Carnotaur3 comes running up to the stage, a piece of toilet paper is stuck to his shoe*
    JPJunkee: "Where were you?"
    *Carnotaur3 simply smiles, obviously embarrassed, and then he approaches the podium*
    Carnotaur3: "Originality in stories is great. But if you want your story to be the most original, you must have original characters that have original ambitions and characteristics that make them stand out from the crowd. These nominees are the lucky few to get it right!
    The nominees for Best Original Character in An Original Story are:
    Dawson from The Host's Triumvirate
    Orlando from Bob Klein's My Perfect Life
    Jack from Vader's The College Years
    Aaron Wesely from Jedi A. Malcolm's Silhouette of Darkness
    Davies from The Host's Triumvirate
    And the winner is. . . .
    Jack from Vader's The College Years!"
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "Now, to present the award for Best Comedic Story. . . Dac."

    *Dac strides up to the podium*

    Dac: “ ‘You shouldn’t use my name.’ ‘Nobody cares.’ ‘No, you don’t understand, I mean you shouldn’t use my name because you might seriously injure your tongue and vocal chords trying to squeeze that damn “G” in the middle. Just call me Arnie.’ ‘But your name is Lewis.’ ‘Okay, then, call me Edna.’ A great comedic writer wrote these words; Drucifer67. His explicit R rated “Jurassic Park Retold” brings laughter to the mature and sane, and on a special occasion, the crazy people. He had to edit out a Gallimimus sex scene, but that was because it would have run long. If he’d left it in, the whole thing would have secured the win. But others had their share, too…

    When it comes to insane and confusing stories, none can top lightGREYdark by Dark Hunter. Several strange characters in a seemingly incomprehensible plot tracking down and killing each other, in addition to a strange monster about the size of a fist that wreaks havoc and kills many. Throw into the mix some wizardry, split personalities and really tasty Pop Tarts, and somehow the whole thing translates into English at the end.

    Martin Randle, Malcolm(admin) and CeratosPit all have more Jurassic Park stories to try and pit against Drucifer, but can they rise to the challenge?

    Martin says hell yes! His Triassic Zoo with a kooky poster at the top and dialogue such as: ‘Gamekeeper (in a strong Australian accent): "Come on move it closer... you there... Grebo, open the bloody gate...come on step on it.." ‘ can clearly give Drucifer a run for his money (whether or not the Aussie stuff was for a fun throw at me or not is anyone’s guess). How can you not like fics where Nerdy is a Nazi spy?

    But danger lurks with The Lost Wallet: Jurassic Spoof by resident admin Malcolm. You can’t go wrong with an absurd plot like Mustache Boy Kirby losing his wallet (on purpose!) in JP3 so as to return in the next (slimy bastard!). And so comedy ensues! I mean, how often is it that some random weirdo on a bike rocks up on Isla Sorna? I thought so.

    But CeratosPit has other ideas. He’s not going down without a fight. InGen High must somehow be thrown into this mess I’ve created, so here we go. A 29 chapter story with such odd appearances as naked clones of JP3 characters, and the Men In Black rocking up for some reason. The plot takes a lot of different shapes, but it’s a great long read!

    But wait, we have one more entry (by now you’re glad I’ll shut up soon)! Our highly toned host has also been nominated in The Misadventures of Dr. Junkee, a plot where a psychiatrist goes up against a man with a cyborg army, an insane woman, and creates dialogue where he ridicules himself (god only knows why). So in the mix of cheese, needles and idiots we have a great story of comedy.

    And the winner for the award of Best Comedic Story goes to. . . . .
    The Misadventures of Dr. Junkee written by JPJunkee!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "Moving on! It is time to reveal the winner of the Best Weekly Series! And here to present the award, please welcome back, Vader."
    *Vader walks back to the podium*
    Vader: "What exactly makes a weekly series a weekly series? Is it that they are series? Or maybe its that they are weekly. Whatever makes a weekly series. . . this speech blows.
    Here are the nominees for Best Weekly Series:
    The Seventh Elite written by Dino_Dude
    SLAYER written by Ben
    The Misadventures of Dr. Junkee written by JPJunkee
    lightGREYdark written by Dark Hunter
    InGen High written by CeratosPit
    And the award for Best Weekly Series goes to. . . .
    SLAYER written by Ben!"
    ~~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "And now, it is my pleasure to introduce, AlanGrant5, who will be presenting the award for Best Original Story. I cannot stress enough how close this particular category was. . . I mean, this was a fight between the stories until the very last day of voting. . . but anyway, here is AlanGrant5."

    *AlanGrant5 walks to the podium*

    AlanGrant5: "On a web site dedicated to Jurassic Park III, in a FanFic section flooded with the same genre of fiction, lie a handful of original stories that sway from the typical dino-eat-man plots. It seems as if a trend has started with the making of these original stories and has become a warm welcome to avid readers who crave something more than Jurassic Park.

    The following stories are original works and are all well-written in their own way. With five nominees for BEST ORIGINAL STORY, only one of them will walk away with the award. Having read, but not completely finished, the works by the nominated authors, it is safe to say that each of them are worthy of the honor. The nominees for BEST ORIGINAL STORY are:

    Triumvirate by The Host

    The College Years by Vader

    Silhouette of Darkness by Jedi A. Malcolm

    The Sun Won’t Rise by RaptorHiss

    Home Sweet Home by Carnotaur3

    And the winner for BEST ORIGINAL STORY is . . . .
    Triumvirate by The Host!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "And now, please give a warm welcome to, Chavez!"
    *Chavez walks to the podium and smiles*
    Chavez: "In the history of DJP3P, many great writers have pasted through. There were stories written by amazing writers in the beginning of the page. They were the greats of yesterday, and now there are many writers who will be considered the greats by future members in years to come. To have a good story, you must have all the key elements in it, and these authors have made these great stories and one of them deserves the title of BEST NEW AUTHOR.
    The nominees for Best New Author are:
    The Host
    Amber
    JPJunkee
    Drucifer67
    Strider_Aragorn
    And the award for Best New Author goes to. . . .
    JPJunkee!"
    ~~~~~~~

    JPJunkee: "Ahhh. . . . now it's time for my personal favorite award of the evening. . . . Best Jurassic Park FanFic. And here to present the award, is The Host!. . . well, he's not the host. . . I'm the host for the show. . . but you see, his name is The Host. . . so yeah. . . . ugh, I need a drink."

    *The Host walks to the podium*

    The Host: "So I’ve got this great idea for a movie, right? It starts, there’s this kooky rich guy, real rich, and he likes dinosaurs. And, get this, he owns an island off the coast of Costa Rica, and he’s learned how to clone dinosaurs, and so he’s put a bunch of them on this island and he wants to open a theme park sort of thing, charge people to see ‘em. And then, just before it opens, he invites a straight-edged paleontologist and beautiful paleobotanist and eccentric mathematician and crusty lawyer and two annoying kids and they tour the island and, guess what? The dinosaurs get loose and start to eat people. I call it ‘Triassic Park’. That’s been done before, you say? Ah, but this time there’s a twist: all of the human characters are played by midgets!

    There is a reason why some authors stick to original storytelling. Some might complain that it’s easier to write fan fiction based upon a well-established universe, easy and unoriginal, but I beg to differ. I would say it’s substantially more difficult than building a universe of your own. Not only must you come up with an idea that is sufficiently unique; you must then mould your story to fit within the limits of the story already established, and fashion characters consistent with ones that were born of another writer’s mind. Writing JP fan fiction you must serve yourself and serve the story written by somebody else, and then ultimately serve the most discriminating of bodies: the rabid fans of Jurassic Park.

    And, let’s face it, we are all here, united at this site on a Saturday night, for two reasons: our love of Jurassic Park, and our inability to find girlfriends. So it goes. One of the reasons we keep coming back, aside from the warm community of friends, is to read fan fiction. And the best Jurassic Park fan fiction doesn’t simply thrill us; it can positively move us. It is constructed carefully of—

    *Orchestra begins to play*

    Okay, okay, I exceeded my 45 seconds. Hey, I thought that only applied to acceptance speeches? What, there are no acceptance speeches? Ah, hell, fine, I’ll get on with it. Anyway, I’ve gotta go pitch my story to some execs. If I play my cards right we might get Danny Devito to play one of the Dilophosaurs!
    The nominees for BEST JUSARRIC PARK FAN FICTION ARE:

    JURASSIC PARK: SHADOWS OF HISTORY by JPJunkee

    ALAN & ELLIE by Yvonne

    JURASSIC PARK: X-FACTOR by drucifer67

    JP:TE BOOK V COMPLETION by AlanGrant5

    And JURASSIC PARK: NEW BEGINNINGS by Yvonne

    And the winner is. . . . . .
    JURASSIC PARK NEW BEGINNINGS by Yvonne!"

    ~~~~~~~~
    JPJunkee: "Drats! The only reason that was my personal favorite award of the evening, was because I thought I might win it. . . curses. . . . anyway. . . I'm about as pooped as a penguin, so how about we find out the results of the last award, eh? Okay, here to present the award for Best Author, is PunkNerd!"
    *PunkNerd walks slowly to the podium*
    PunkNerd: "Hey kids, it's PN. I’m here to present the nominees for Best Author. It takes a lot to write a great piece of art work, and it takes even more to post it here, when most stories and authors that deserve comments don't get many. So to finally show the following people that you really do love em, here are the nominations for Best Author.
    Vader
    The Host
    AlanGrant5
    Yvonne
    JPJunkee
    Right then, all equally deserving, good luck to you all... and the winner is......
    Yvonne!"
    JPJunkee: "Ahhh. . . . so Yvonne won Best Author. . . well congratulations to her. And congratulations to all the winners of this past year of FanFiction at DansJP3Page. And to all those that didn't win. . . you can trust my word, that so many of you came VERY close, but better luck next year (yes, there will be a next year), and keep on writing!
    Well, thus concludes the First Annual FanFiction Poster's Choice Awards. . . I hope you were entertained. . . I was (for the most part). I hope next year there will be an even bigger turn out as far as voters are concerned. . . and hopefully I'll have improved on trying to give you guys a good show. . . I think I'm going to need a co-host. . . yeah. . . maybe. . .probably. . . hmmm.
    Until next time, I'd like to thank all the voters for taking the time to sort through their memory bank, and make the often difficult decisions of voting for their favorite stories. I'd like to thank all those who were helpful enough to write a speech for this awards show, you were all a great help, thanks a lot. And I'd like to thank the writers for giving us all something to read!
    Also a little reminder. . . all the winners were selected by you; the voters. Now I don't want hate mail or people complaining to me, because they didn't win. . . I will not tolerate it, because I don't need that crap. Okay? Understood? Good. Excellent. Yes. :)
    Now, everyone, have a good night, and log off safely. . . get it?. . . log off safely. . . as in drive home safely. . . you don't get it? . . . eh, neither do I. . . ugh."
