Biosyn's Creation- PART 4

INT. LOBBY – NIGHT
Jerry Franco, a computer expert, shoved all the employees into the emergency bunker.
JERRY
Everybody in the emergency bunker. Come on. Everybody! This will be over in a few minutes. Just a lost animal.
EXT. JUNGLE TRAIL – NIGHT
Dodgson, Troy, and Hoskin had Glocks in their hands, ready to take on anything. They were prepared to take down the animal if necessary, except for Dodgson, who had other things on his mind.
TROY
We have a fence guarding it to get out, right.
DODGSON
A perimeter fence, yes.
HOSKIN
Look there.
He pointed to something running fast in the dark jungle. It was the raptor all right, trying to get out of the place.
Hoskin cocked his semi-automatic and then proceeded to run after the beast.
Dodgson and Troy decided to follow as well.
Through the jungle they found themselves stop in front of the perimeter fence.
HOSKIN
He must have gone this way.
Hosken went left, towards the power shed.
Before he got to it a man leaped out of the window of the shed. Shards of glass cutting him deeply as he hit the ground.
The raptor had slugged him out the window!
The carnivore tore at the electronics in the shed, shredding them to bits.
DODGSON
NO! NO! Can’t be!
The lights poles above them went out suddenly. They could hear the power go down. Slowly, but surely.
TROY
I’m going in.
Troy was just about to go in the shed when Hoskin stopped him.
HOSKIN
I’m going in with you.
Dodgson ran after them.
DODGSON
NO! DON’T YOU DARE HURT HER!
Hoskin and Troy watched as the raptor leaped out the window and made it’s escape into the jungle, yet again.
HOSKIN
How can they be so smart.
TROY
They were born to be that way!
EXT. JUNGLE – NIGHT
The group of raptors had escaped. All five of them. Five was a lot for a party of three to worry about.
Dodgson, Troy, and Hoskin had their guns ready to their side. Troy suddenly noticed the first female raptor speed up in front of them.
He took his gun out and fired, never hesitating.
The bullet pierced the back of the raptor’s skull.
TROY
Gotcha!
Dodgson threw himself at Troy.
DODGSON
You son of a bitch. You killed one of my animals. You sorry ass loser. Your fired!
He punched Troy in the face. Troy came crashing to the ground, his head banging on the hard dirt floor.
He opened his eyes to see a male Velociraptor looking straight at him from above.
TROY
Damn!
Troy threw himself and was running before Dodgson or Hoskin even noticed.
His little legs moving in front of the other. Dodgson and Hoskin were not on his mind. His life was!
He looked up to see a Biosyn hotel building, for the employees, standing there.
He ran up the stair on the side of the building and up to the roof.
He leaned over the edge to see how far the raptor was behind him.
The raptor came into view just as Troy looked over. He snarled at him then ran up the stair towards him.
Troy looked over the side of the building to find something to fall onto.
The last side he saw a pool. It looked to be from three feet to ten feet.
He looked back to the see the raptor all ready on the roof and coming straight at him. It’s jaws opened and drooling for him.
Troy check for his gun. SHIT! He had dropped it when Dodgson had hit him.
He had to think of something quickly.
Without hesitating, he leaped off the edge of the building and into the cold deep water of the pool.
He felt the water rush around his body. So smooth and relaxing. But he felt the tension still.
Just above him the raptor looked curiously at the human.
TROY
Can’t swim.
Troy laughed a little. But then, he remembered. They were built to swim.
Just after his thought the raptor had already jumped in the air and was now falling to the pool.
TROY
Ah shit!
He ran back out into the jungle.
