Well, while you may have captured some of the feel of the film series, I'm afraid that you also went for a few of the more obscure references. Probably no one would care about or remember the lockerfull of aliens from the second film, and setting up your alien invasion by basically telling the audience that the particular monster they just 'faced' is the worst possible threat they could ever come up against is far too obvious.
I mean, the second Zed said that line, I knew that the boys would have to face that very alien.
Try to be less predictable.
