Michael Crichton's original plan for the JP novel was for it to be about a combination of dinosaurs and child abuse. When his publisher balked at the idea, he decided instead to focus solely on dinosaurs. (From: 'Chase')

A fine ending to a great story. Far superior to its predecessor. I really liked Dark Dawn. The ending was good, and actually quite emotional.

The fall of Drakon. The tormented ending of Piper and Gavin. . . great stuff.

The dino action was also written very well.

One thing I must say though, is that I agree with Yvonne about Gavin's choice to leave Jazelle in the shed. . . I mean, I see where you're coming from. You wanted to show that Gavin didn't want to bring his daughter into any more danger than she had to be in. . . but I just felt it wasn't that realistic.

Anyway, as a whole, I really enjoyed the story. Some really wonderful storytelling, that should make you proud as a writer.

(btw, your mind is freaky. . . very freaky. . . not joking)

    ;)

    Overall Grade: A

More very informative comments, Vader. I really like how you allow us to get inside your mind (scary place ... AHHHH!) and follow your reasoning for certain twists of the story.

You did a fine job in trying to get the reader sympathic to the dino. And then, like you had hoped, that sympathy turned to anger and fear as the story progressed.

There were still things that happened that seemed far fetched to me ... like Gavin leaving his daughter alone like that. But I shall move past that and congratulate you on providing me with some entertainment, laced with thought-provoking sorrow.

This sequel easily tops Leviathans IMO, Vader. You should be proud. :)

    Moving on to Special Features....

(btw, your mind isn't scary .. that was a jokey)

    :)
