Well. . . the second time reading the opening scene. . . and I still like it. The action is intense and powerful. And from the get go, you really get to see how Davies' character reacts to such situations. It's great stuff.

I also liked the insightful commentary you added to the story.

    It's all good! :)

As a sci-fi fan from way back, I have written literally hundreds of space battles, but none that I liked.

This is what I was striving for.

The descriptions here are excellent, as is the tension created by Davies' nervousness (exemplified both in dialogue and in details--nothing says nervous like the trusty "bead of sweat".

I must admit, I've set this story aside quite a few times, as I have a difficult time becoming engrossed in works done in this format. However, screenplay form or not, I have sampled enough of this work in the past weeks to know that it's going to be quite a read.

My schedule is hell, but I'll make time for this one.

Very nice, i enjoy reading this more the second time through.

The whole space battle is amazing, especially your descriptions of the manouveres of Davies ship.

    I love this story.

Fantastic work on the opening sequence. Very tense, tight. I felt like I was riding along with the characters the entire time. I could perfectly visualize everything.

Will read more tomorrow morning, a bit tired now. :)
