It took me a while to finish this chapter (sorry). I found the first half of the chapter rather easy to stop reading. I'm not all too interested in politics, so that may be a big reason why. But I found the explanations and rules and whatnot of the first half to be a little bit of a bore. I don't want to sound rude or overly critical by saying that, but yeah. The second half of the chapter I was able to finish in one quick sitting however, and I liked it. I guess it was also a good thing for the chapter to end with some characters talking and you reacting. It's what the chapter needed, I suppose. The good writing style and dry humor that was in the first chapter is still here in this one, so that's a good thing. It's well written. But like the first chapter, it's a bit too slow. If the ending of this chapter is any sign of what future chapters will be like, then I have hopes that it'll pick up some, and have a more steady pace that can keep me interested from the chapter's beginning until the chapter's end. Again I like your character descriptions, like how you described Brimstone as a caricature of himself and stuff. You're really good at that, I think. Anyway, I hope you continue posting this story.
