While a Triceratops gets sick in the JP movie, it is a Stegosaur that was ill in the novel. (From: 'SiteC')

Finally, one of the sites best writers comes back onto the scene. I know im not the only one that has been waiting impatiently for Icey to release his next novelia - and I must say I'm quite please with the outcome. Marine Corps: Recruit is one helluva read. The dialogue, as always, is very vivid and appropriate - always corresponding with the topic at hand. The descriptions were great - I really do have the whole thing drawn in my head. The emotion brought forth by the Sargeants and Matthew were a huge plus - though, the downfall to that is that Ice really had no "antagonists" in this novel(everybody was likeable, no villians). The story flows smoothly, even though the layout is a bit unorthodox. There really aren't many negatives in the story. As for the length, Im actually quite happy with it!(reason below)

!FINAL SAY!

Marine Corps: Recruit is definetly one of the most original stories to grace this site, and also one of the best. Period. It's an emotional and captivating extravaganza that takes us through the trials and tribulations of a journey in Boot Camp. The ending, though, has our mouths watering for the next installment.

Very entertaining, Ice!:D

Only grudge, as many have said, it wasn't as long as we all hoped it would...

Other than that, excellent writing indeed.

Can't wait for part 2:D

I feel like watching 'Aliens' after reading this. The sarge kicked ass, as did Matt and Dave. Like Trev said, I just wish the story would've been longer.

Pretty good. Though, I thought the D.I.s give recruits nicknames..?

Great story. I loved all of the character, especially the sarg.

The only complaint I have is that the story wasn't longer.

OoH-RaH! This was an amazing story, it had a few faults, but even the faults I liked reading, the "You are talking about the person and they are right behind you." cliche' is a little old, but you wrote it well I didn't mind. And I loved him running around naked in the rain and the "Small Package" quote.

This is one of the best fan fictions I have ever read, at the same time it makes me afraid of ever going to Boot Camp but it also inspires me to go join the Marine Corp. This was a masterpiece and will be forever remembered here at Dan's Jp3 Page.

I would also like to ask: Do they seriously do 1-2-3ONE pushups like that? Cause...HOLY CRAP that would suck, ha ha ha.

FINAL RATING:
A
