All those names I listed in Rogue Squadron are real from the novels...I didnt make anybody up except the IMPERIALS...Also, I know what you said about Whistler but I checked my Rogue Squadron book and they said he was an 'R2-D2' astromech droid so0o I merely copied that maybe you showed complain to Lucas Books (HeHe)
Rogue Squadron alternates colors depending on the mission like at the end when they were back to RED and Corran was GREEN ONE...it just depends on what other squadrons are involved in the battle.
Oh...and I am glad to see SOMEONE caught on to the number thing ;-)</font>

R2-D2 is the only R2-D2. They are simply called astromech droids.
