Yeah it's supposed to surprise and down right sadden the auidience when this happens. Like you say...everybody's was just getting to like him.

Really good Carno. I really liked the scenes from TLW novel that you incorporated here. And, Levine's death scene was done really well. It was actually quite surprising.
