Michael Crichton and Steven Spielberg once planned on creating "E.R." as a theatrical movie, but after returning to the project after working on JP, decided it would do better as a TV show. (From: SeanArcher)

Yeah, well he's actually giving him sleeping pills. I knwo Phsychiatrists don't do that, but to be honest, the docotr is meant not to be very perfessional. And for a short intro here, you can't make out what the character is like yet. Tony might seem childish now, but later he's not.

To be honest, I dislike script format writing. But I still read this out of curiousity. First of all, the "acting" was a bit unbelievable, for lack of a better word. Tony seems too childish. And Dr. Nulls didn't seem very professional. Second, you have some information incorrect. Psychiatrists do not dispense medication, only perscribe it. To get it, the patient must take the perscription to a pharmacy. And sleeping so much is not all that rare. Severe depression can cause over-drowsiness and mono is a sickness that makes a person sleep for months. Otherwise, it is short, but intriguing.
