In nature it probably would have been to the death like in the movie. The Spinosaurus v. T-rex battle, if it would have happen and could have happen would of been over some natural reason, such as terroritory or over a dead carcuss as a free meal.

I think the fight is sorta a draw....in a real confrontation like that were it to ever happen (though it never would) I would see more of a display of strength and intimidation rather than a fight to the death
