I'm back to reading, Ben! Sorry about the long vacation I took. Won't happen again.

This was a very interesting episode. Junkee, I think you handled the River-to-Slayer transition very well. And there were some funny moments mixed in, too ... like Ben and his mumbling about his nose and shirt. Hunt is funny, too. Good stuff there. :)

My favorite line this time around....

River: What book have you been reading?

Mr. Hunt: The Idiots Guide to being a Watcher. But, that's beside the point. Shall we begin?

hehe ... that was amusing. :)

There were a few things I'm kind of confused about, such as Ben's behavior, but I'm sure it'll all come together in the next few episodes.

You penned an episode to be proud of, Kyle (Junkee)!

    I'll read 5x11 ASAP! :)

Only just now -- nearly a month after the episode was posted -- did I realize I never left a comment or anything. Hmmm.

Well, anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to Ben for giving me the opportunity to write an episode in his series -- a series that I love and appreciate so much. It really was an odd experience to write this episode, I guess, as it’s not my story and one must struggle for their work to fit in with everything else. . . .but in the end, it was actually really fun, and I was satisfied with the result. And I’d be up to writing another episode if you ever asked that of me, Ben.

And of course thank you to the readers -- knowing you liked the episode sets my mind at ease, as I was quite worried that fans of Slayer may not accept it, or something. So, anywho, thanks a lot! :)

Nice work, very nice! Obviously it's Junkee's work because his writing style seems a bit different to Ben's, and it's apparent during the fight between River and the vampires with knives.
It was a very interesting episode

Very rarely do I ever chime in about Slayer fanfics (mostly because I write them,) but when a co-writer writes an episode, I love to discuss it.

JP Junkee threw a fairly dumb storyline plot that I created and turned it into a masterpiece of quick-wit, humor and action.

I will bring up one thing - The ending with the Host - it's a bit iffy (that and I screwed up the story by sending the character "Ben" off to "LaLa Land," leaving a "body double" to stand-in...oy...) but the Host knows that River and Ben are bros - he didn't realize that by killing Majestic that River (let alone anybody) could've been called on to be the next Slayer...but with the way this season is going to end, we needed a stable Slayer to step-up to the plate...oops, did I say stable? I meant...um....no, Ben's going to be fine guys, I promise!!

We're nearly to the half-way point of season 5 and it's been one hell of a ride. Stay tuned for next weeks episode(s) written by Dac (superb writing there, as well).

Other than that - this just goes to show that an author like Junkee has my highest respect - because they can stop working on a project they do and induldge themselves into the Slayer universe in a whole new way - we saw that with Yvonne's incredible episode earlier this season(not my favorite of this season though - I mean it's OMG Good, but the musical...yeah, that's my baby.)

I made a musical...and just you wait for Dac & Bob's flashbacks to that night...oh yeah, we're not done yet.
