Man, did TIMELINE sure suck or what?! Horrible! CHUD's Nick says it's the absolute WORST movie of the year! Yes, even worse than GIGLI!

    Wow.

I liked Timeline. Of course, I like just about every book I read. In my opinion, Paul Walker would not make a very good Chris because in the book, Chris is a sort of wussie (except for when he jumped off the cliff). When I was reading the book, I pictured Andre as Vin Diesel because of how muscular he is described, though after seeing the pic of what's-his-name, I changed my mind. Denise Richards is definitly too...big...to play Kate. I mean, Kate's a rock climber. Wouldn't Richards' huge knockers get in the way?

Congo is the best movie, i have it on video and i watch it with my grandfather every time he comes to visit. It's better than a lot of movies because the whole movie isn't just man vs ape, it discussed the problems in africa due to tribalism, and it also stars ernie hudson!

Congo is one of the best novels, possibly tied with Jurassic Park. Timeline is the worst.

    Dan,
Sorry about that flooding of the comments earlier, I was trying to help someone with something, and it turned into a mess.

Timeline was sort of boring, but wasn't as bad as Congo. Let's hope this makes a good movie.

Yeah, it did seem that Mike was just trying to turn out some type of time-travel novel, quickly. I thought it was alright. So help me, if they cast Denise Richards as the female lead, I will shoot myself in the ass. She's hot, but couldn't act her way out of a wet tissue-paper sack.

Paul Walker!? I saw Fast and the Furious, unfortunately, and he is a terrible actor that makes Keanu Reeves look like Anthony Hopkins. And that Butler guy was horrible in Dracula 2000 (another movie I wish I hadn't been talked into). This movie looks to follow the Crichton trend (every Crichton movie sucks except the JP franchise). I love his books though.

Honestly, I felt the characters in this particular Crichton book were so weak, anyone could play any of 'em. I've read all of Crichton's books, and I still say this is one of his worst. Personally, I wish they'd do something with their Airframe movie rights...

I really dont give a shit about the pecking order, and I really dont care if Im second or not. But I always suspected Marek to be a to be more aged, Rade Serbedzija perhaps. I guess Paul Walker is fitting, maybe a little too muscly for Chris, I was sort of hoping Tom Everett Scott would take the part, but whatcha gonna do?
