When Hammond visits Grant and Ellie in the trailer, pay attention to some of the newspaper clippings next to the fridge: Among them are "Space Aliens Stole My Face" and "Dinosaurs on Mars!". (From: Patrick)

Thanx, Jariner!

Lets atleast try to beat TLW then in that case.

I think JP3 will be able to hold it's own nicely against POTA. Probably, 'Apes' will take no 1. at the box office away from JP3, but hopefully not by much.
Anyway, POTA is going through emergency last minute re-shoots, re-edits, and even re-scoring !!! That means that they viewed the finished product and it STUNK, so now they are all scrambling desperately to make it somewhat decent before it is released. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get from all this.

At 9:12:00 PM on 7/22/2001, Jariner said:
To answer your question Robman, JP made 357 million and TLW made 230 million.

POTA is not going to flop I know a lot of people who want to see it.

This is excellent. The more ca$h JP3 makes, the bigger the chance a JP4 will come out!
Its gonna reach $150 million easily, possibly even $200 million.

Does anyone know how much JP1 and TLW made?

I know this might go against popular opinion here, but I am looking forward to POTA. I loved the old ones and just about everything Tim Burton does. I will always like Jurassic Park better, but I think it is ok to have more than one big summer movie that I like. By the time POTA comes out, JP3 will be passing $100 million anyway, so it's not like we have anything to worry about there.

I agree.

Pearl Harbor was expensive and advertised to Hell and had a massive premier, and barely had a profit...

Anyway, I know several people who are scared of the apemen in POTA.

I honestly think that Planet of the Apes is going to be a BOX-OFFICE FLOP, kinda like like Pearl Harbor or those other movies that were supposed to make a lot of money. I mean it just doesn't look like its the sort of movie you could see again and again, like Jurassic Park III

This is soooo great. I shouldn't have underestimated it. But I am glad it's proving me wrong. Let's just hope that in will stand strong against POTA. And most important, that there will be a Jurassic Park 4.
