    Why didn't they use that?

I like that ending, although, I don't think the ending should be refilmed. In my opinion, Jurassic Park 3 was just as good as I expected, and a lot better.

grrrr! Why didnt they use that? I say they film the ending and reopen the movie and say it was a big joke!

That ending rocked. So, Ellie was the unexpected charatcer. Well, now we get Grant's Hat back. Still, Ellie shoulda been pulled out as they leave. Then they land, and get atatcked, right whent eh second T-rex/Spino abttle breaks loose, and thye ahve to leave immideately beofre thye're tremapled.
But the military needs to eb kileld by Raptors.

That ending was cool! That way, Ellie gets in on the action, and Grant feels sentimental about the dinosaurs again, like he did the first time he saw dinosaurs in JP.

It would have been cool to have the Spinosaurus come out of the jungle on the beach and there could have been a big Spino vs. Navy/Marines battle

Did anybody notice how the Pteranodon's flying at the end looked like the ending to the first JP with the Pelicans?

The only good thing about this ending is getting one final shot of a herd of herbivores.

That would of made more of an inpact, the original ending was just a lead up to something then droped you and nothing happened this would of been cool. I also read at another site that the other T-rex was supposed to make another apperance but it didn't fit the ending they said. Any thing would of fit that ending,

I agree with Hoosier. I think the ending in the film was pretty anticlimactic. I was waiting for the last big wow. Never came. The scripted ending is horrible though. It's just as unsatisfying and probably moreso than what's in the end to the film.

why the hell would grant say that?!?!!?

The script ending is not as good as the final film although the return of Sattler lightens it up. The ending was filmed cause they went back to re-film it a month later. So, maybe it'll be on the DVD.

    man the original ending sucks!

I think that while the ending to JP3 was appropriate, it was wayyy to conventional. Billy shouldn't have been on that helicopter. The last shot should have been of Billy getting up, after the helicopter left. That would have set up JP4, which could be like castaway with dinosaurs.

Grant says "So would I" like a wisened elder having the experience of age and understanding of the ignorance of youth. Eric is still young, rather adventurous and he lived for 8 weeks on an island of dinosaurs! I think I'd like to see him come back too! This ending surpasses that of the origional. It'll probably be put in JP4......lol.

I actually like the philosophical impact of the scripted ending, but I'm not a fan of the Pteronadon attack. If you're going to have that 'one last gasp' battle, it should have some sort of payoff, or at least make it look like a hard-fought victory.

I think Grant was finally overwhelmed by the impact of things. In the first Jurassic Park, as amazed as he was, he still had a decent grasp on the situation. But now, learning what he now knows about Velociraptors and such, the situation finally amazed him in a non-resurrection sense (if that makes any sense).

    Just my two cents.

<i>Billy: "I hope so. I'd like to come back someday." Grant: "So would I."</i>

maybe it's just meant ironically...but then why doesn't it say so in the script?

Um, sorry, but that script ending sucks major ass.

I don't know about you guys, but I think the movie would have been a definate four star movie had they had a 10 minute Military vs Dino scene.

I would say that instead of the raptors being scared off by the choppers, that a few of them get wasted by marines. Then the marines foolishly follow them to finish them off and walk into a rapor trap, or they run into the spino or something.

Anything like that could have added time to the movie and the death that all the fans wanted. Oh well, I still liked it.

And I'll tell you one thing, this movie left me craving more JP. Damn those movie people!!

Hmm, I agree with Dan. Maybe if they changed the dialogue around a bit to make it seem less cheesy...?

i think the ending (new one) is quite over the top. I like the way they have used sattler but i think what happens to her is a bit stupid and harsh to her character the final ending isnt great but its better!! :).

Not to mention he ALREDY just returned! Well, he tangoed w/ dinos again anyway...

To me, this ending seems no more cheesey/nonsenceical than the final cut.

No way, this exchange is quite lame: Billy: "I hope so. I'd like to come back someday." Grant: "So would I."

And why would Grant say that?! He don't want to come back no more!
