Alas, they unfortunately nixed that idea. There were originally two battles. The first is one by Spino, to set him up as a true terror. Then came the real one. But they sorta got merged together I guess. So now, only one paleontologist believes that a Spino could take a rex. And he thinks length determines fear factor.

That's too bad...deleted scenes are the best bonus feature of nearly any DVD...Johnston should have filmed a dozen special effects shots he knew he was never gonna use just for the hell of it...that way the DVD would be a lot more popular...I mean, if they're not going to include deleted scenes, they better have some other special features, like a whole lot of BTS footage or something...
